ok, I'm gonna start off and say I have only played and experienced the naval combat from shogun fall of samurai, and it was awful.

at the beginning of the fight, since AI rarely move and I had to GO TO HIMMMM. Do you know how fucking boring it is just to travel from point A to B while watch your ships wobbling on the sea? I had to speed up and it still a pain to wait. Then the fight begin.
There's 2 option to win a naval combat.
1. shoot it to shit with cannon
2. board and capture it

you can forget about the 2nd one because it rarely works and you would be shot to shit before the boarding actually happened.

And while the 1st option sounds simple, it is all about how good your ship is, like how well you put points in technology to research those SWEET SWEET ship ammunition and armored upgrade. In reality, you would rather spend them on economy or other military technology, a fucking waste.

Anyway, frontal engagement is also about who has the most cannon win. More cannon = more shots and more firepower. So as you can see the fight can be pretty one sided with no strategy but luck required. Speaking of luck, ship may sometimes experienced breach and burning situation (further chances improved by special ammunition shell) and it can happened randomly to AI or you.

So that's my review of the shogun: fall of samurai's naval combat. Is all about dumb luck and spend to win. Pretty boring if you think about it, and I've heard people say fall of samurai's naval combat is an improvement from the previous shogun 2 title.

Depends on how they were created. Beastmen were created when the portals on the poles blew up and unleashed chaos energies fused the northernmost tribes and their livestock together. Also humans can give birth to beastmen due to chaos influence, which they do a lot.
I don't remember the origins of Skaven, but aren't they just rats that evolved due to close contact with warpstone, thus having no relation to humans?

Skaven are born exclusively to skaven brood-mothers and human children never mutate into skaven.

They're their own thing, a large part of why the Empire doesn't grasp the Skaven threat is that most reports of them are dismissed as Beastmen sightings.

Skaven and Beastmen also don't get along at all, the Beastmen don't care about the Horned Rat or the Council of 13 or any of the Skaven power structure and they have none of the Skaven propensity for scheming

Also the skaven might see the beastmen as easy to manipulate fools which is as close to be a skaven's friend as you can get, even if you are another skaven.

Warriors of Chaos are big and burly and a Chaos Lord can go toe-to-toe with a Beastlord in a fight.

The Beastmen might see the Skaven as simply being beneath them, cowards and backstabbers more lowly than Ungor.

Your problem is that you never bothered to learn any bread and butter naval tactics. It's not about who has the most firepower, but who can bring most of it to bear at the same time. I doubt warhammer influence here will ever go away, as the game will have two expansion, updates and dlc releasing for 4 years at least.

People often get mods that remove the bullshit morale bonus on legendary since you get stuff like archers who can counter every melee unit. So playing without mods on L is harder than playing with them since most people reduce the bullshit.
