You can't even be fancy and versatile with them, can't play BoW or BoM+BGH on enemy minions, quest is friendly minions only. Galvadon himself isn't stellar but decent, unfortunately it's primary survival adaptation (Immune to spell or hero powers) goes directly against such paladin buff deck so no buffed dinosaur with windfurry. I start to believe that antisynergy is paladin class theme.

I think I am too _jaded_ by the usual complaints in /hsg/ as a whole to take them seriously anymore.

On another serious note, I was a new player once too. It took me 2 years before I payed a single cent to this game. And it fucking sucked. I grinded that shit out because I knew that someday, I could make competitive decks.

Now I realize, its not the competitive decks that make the game fun for me, it is ridiculous meme decks. And to make those you need a lot of dust. Hence, being a f2p player isn't very fun.

New heroes in League cost virtually nothing and if you playing a lot you can buy them for in-game currency. Problem with HS isn't existence of cost, but amount you need to pay to get anywhere. HS costs so much what by paying ~100 dollarudos per expansion you aren't getting much. At this point many people just wouldn't pay anything, since paying wouldn't change shit.
And why are you asking for another card game? Blizzard is huge company, who cares how other irrelevant online card games operate? Why are you so sure what HS can't survive on skins anyway? It works just fine for many f2p games and HS is closer to them than it is to paper card games.

I'm not even particularly mad. It's not like he got lucky or had a frothing I couldn't answer or anything. Turns out dealing ~5 damage every turn (starting with 2 damage on turn 1) is pretty good. Pirate Warrior synergy/ efficiency is disgusting. N'Zoth's first mate dealt like 15 damage with its body/ weapon + buffs + patches. It's a 1 mana card which is basically doing what Muster for Battle did. For 3 mana. And that was considered BROKEN.

What about Krosmaga? Its a card game also based on a previous franchise like HS

If you think that packs of Magic cards cost wizard anywhere close to what you're paying for them to produce you've lost your fucking mind. Non-foil cards cost MAYBE 5 cents a pop to produce. The cost of making and shipping the cards is minimal compared to how much they're making on the packs. That's the same argument that people use for why digital music shouldn't cost anything. It's about the time, effort, and art that went into the product. HS cards cost just as much to produce in those respects.

I'm not saying they shouldn't. I'm saying they wouldn't be able to sustain the team on that alone.

I think that the early WoG meta was the best meta we had. Rotation happened for the first time, people had no clue what they were doing, many enjoyable decks were created. Zoo had free wins.
But once it got solved it turned into aggro Shaman. But it was still okay since Aggro Shaman wasn't that oppressive and Zoo was a hard counter to it.
Then Kara happened which game aggro and midrange shaman tools of mass domination. Aggro Shaman nerf happened, so we were left in midrange Shamanstone where literally nothing could compete.
Clearly Kara was such a huge success that not a single spike for MSG happened. Absolutely no interest.

Also I would blame Hearthstone's marketing department. There was a lot of talk about the Old Gods and first rotation. Promotions and shit. I didn't see almost anything after that so obviously people wouldn't good information.

They can't make good buffs, they aren't competent enough. Look at all the buffs in the game.
Warlock has like 4-5 of them, only 1 is playable.
Priest has many, only one sees serious play and the rest are meme tier. One playable is in wild. Paladin has a shitload of them, non as played, 2 were played in aggro paladin.

Buffs are less mana efficient than minions because they can create huge swings. They also allow your opponent to go 2 for 1 giving them card advantage. The only buffs playable are those that cycle themselves or in Warlock who has no problem with going 2 for 1 when using PO.

How can anyone still be optimistic that Team 5 will print a good buff?

I know my replay is late but its kind of funny, I just found this guy in my collection while looking at some warlock cards. That's how good he is, you litterally forget that you have him after a while.

Summoning murlocs is strictly better than summoning recruits with the current cards in standard.
