It did.
It's a good weapon, especially for lower level/lower stat builds. The scaling is shit but the base damage is big and it has a natural fire buff that's easy to maintain so it performs well without many stats. On my level 80 strength build, it was the strongest UGS I had until the heavy buff made the Greatsword ridiculous.

The only downside is that it's shorter than average.

Zwei, Gutsword, CKGS, and LKGS are all good STR. FUGS has reach but is lacking in AR and heavy as fuck.
Profaned, Lorian's, Zwei, and AGS work well with quality builds.
AGS actually works really well 20/60 sharp too.

If you try to use the regular Twinblades like this you'll just get wrecked though. The regular Twinblade needs a good understanding of its moveset and preferably some manual wiggling to be effective.
Red Iron has enough damage that you can just press buttons though.

As long as you have at least one piece of armor in each slot, it's fine.

Elemental resistances can be useful against certain bosses, as you can stack enough for it to matter. For instance, Undead Legion set + Thunder Stoneplate + Speckled Stoneplate = you take a ton less damage from Nameless King's grab, to the point where it might not one-shot you.
