The problem with Bioware, as with all the big companies, is that they're afraid to break the mold and take a risk. They stick to the same formula and change only minute details before selling the same shit over and over.

How do I deal with level 3 radiation on Eos? Do I need to progress further in to the main story? I finished the main chapter and all side quests I have there seem to be "out of bounds" due to the radiation crap.

It's the episode where has to take anger management classes after accidentally cutting off Dale's thumb. He passes it but finds out his friends don't listen to him when he tries to talk them out of doing dumb shit unless he's being aggressive, so he taps back into the anger he'd been repressing.

For that particular cap, the guys had dug a tunnel under the road behind the alley and a garbage truck was coming. The road wouldn't have been able to support its weight and would have collapsed right on top of them, probably killing all three. Hank was trying to get them out of the hole.

But otherwise, yeah, even without all that the original trilogy would be a very hard act to follow.
I just hope it did well enough to get a sequel, since there's potential for greatness here if you iron out some annoyances and the new dev team learns from their mistakes.

I think the worst part of this game is the lack of choice with Scott/Sara's personalities. Four tone options that all boil down to the same thing with the character's tone never changing in auto dialogue. They at least could have attempted to pull a DA2 with it. And all the choices basically railroad into the same thing.

Even Shepard was less defined as a character and Shepard was pretty defined.

Hard one, can't even remember the last time I had it. Always have a little sadness after reading a nicely-written scifi world. Likable characters surely don't help, especially Vetra.

I'm a little bit disappointed that after maxing out the 3 skills I have, and the 4 or so relevant passives there's not really anything useful to put points in. Everything else would just be to experiment, which I can already do by respecing. I wish there were more general-use passives.

The very "soft" ending they give you really helped me. I have to say, being able to keep playing and see the world keep going for yourself is a very good way to disengage the player. Normally I crash pretty hard after finishing a piece of engaging sci-fi, but this time was alright.

I honestly think any review for MEA between 6 and 8 on a 0-10 scale is pretty reasonable.

The problem is that everybody who reads game reviews know it's a 7-10 scale for AAA games. Reviewers jumped on the hate train because it was popular and got them clicks. They have recourse by arguing that 6 is a valid score for MEA (which, I think it is) and then pretending like they don't know that anything <7 is shovelware garbage as far as game reviews are concerned. They just get to pick and choose if they're using the omg-hype7-10 scale or a proper 0-10 scale at will. I haven't played BotW, and from what I hear it's decent, but far from a 10/10s it's been scoring. In ME1 I was able to kill the council, then tell Anderson and Udina in our debriefing that I saw a chance to get rid of them so I took it.

I haven't gotten to say that about pretty much anyone they let me kill off in Andromeda. Hell one of them the only thing I really got to say when confronted about it was a casual, well it was a split second decision so I just did it, coulda gone either way.

Stupid tech passives only effect tech bullshit, don't see a point in putting points in weapons I'm not using.

I'm having an issue where my weapon wheel is stuck open. I opened it once by accident, now if I close it, it immediately re-opens, meaning I can do anything. If I reload, it's gone, but as soon as I get in combat or exit the Nomad, it happens again. Anything else having this issue or know a fix?

I know the whole clan went to Andromeda, but an old fucker like Drack going along too was pretty smart. He basically retired to a place where most of his old enemies can't get him.

Meanwhile Kirrahe, the Salarian councilor, Mordin, his apprentice, those salarian workers on Ilum in the second game -- all males, all capable of empathy. Those who interact with the krogan among them all also become sympathetic to their plight and the Salarian's own role in it.

This is more than just individuals being cruel. There is a gender-divide in Salarians between males and females, where the females are biologically coded to be evil.

I really would like to see a return to much more traditional RPG styles in games, which is why I kind of see an upside to all this criticism particularly as it coincides with a recent wave of Obsidian-style game nostalgia which I hope some publisher notices. When I entered the room it immediately triggered the conversation with him and zoomed in on the fucking wall, so as soon as I could I said id talk to him later to get out of the convo so i could walk up and talk to him properly with the camera focused on him instead of the wall and him being halfway across the room, but it wouldn't let me talk to him again so all the conversation options are lost forever.
