Say that to my face. I've been maining Splat Charger since the original Testfire. E-Liters are too immobile and require specialized gear setups to be properly effective and don't have good ink coverage ability. Squiffers and whatnot are strong but require perfect execution and lack the ability to throw ink long distances like longer ranged chargers.

Splat Charger is the perfect middle ground.

People have reached S+ using Custom Jr, arguably the WORST weapon in the entire game. Ranked is not an accurate means of gauging a weapons efficiency in competition.

That's not to say Splat Chargers aren't viable in competitive, it just means that they're at an inherent disadvantage when pitted against Splatterscopes or E-litres due to the decreased range in high level play.

People DO experiment, that's how we've neared the conclusion of Splatoon 1's meta (it being quick respawn and stealth jump).

You're not listening at all. Splatterscope is outright inferior. There's maybe 5 maps in the whole game with maybe 2 spots on those maps where it's extra range gets you an advantage. Every other time, you could just position better.

It really isn't such a big problem, I don't know why you think it is. You can hear anyone within ten feet of you, and unless you literally didn't notice a squid hiding in the ink right in front of you, the scope isn't going to block your sight of anyone for long enough for them to hurt you. It's pretty easy to be aware of roughly where everyone on the opposing team is.
