So 2B killed herself to save 9S, the worst character. Going in I knew 2 things "2B dies, A2 takes over". But of course 2B could never really die, so I passed it off as bullshit. "A2 takes over"? The fuck does that mean?

Throughout the whole route I liked looking at 2B, but I never really felt attached to her. It didn't help that she kept showing a growing affection for 9S, the worst character. Ultimately this affection caused her death. Okay, swell. I didn't see that particular death coming. Even as I approached the bridge I still thought 2B was gonna be ok. It feels like how it felt to watch the last episode of Death Note without knowing Light dies and believing until the last moment some bullshit would save him.

So now we have A2, who is redpilled and doesn't give a fuck about 9S. However A2 has infected herself with 2B and I bet it won't be long before A2 turns into trash just like 2B.

The thing that gets me most of the destruction of YoRHa

You didn't get shit about the game then. 9S can actually fight and kick the shit out of other androids and he's the most advance one. His purpose is finally nreaking the cycle by using his abilities.

The problem is the cost of his desition was too damn high and he cannot think in a proper way after 2B's death. A2 doesn't feel affection to 9S because of 2B, she learned what kind of pain he was going through at the moment and that is the same pain that makes her wanted to die in the first place.

9S is the final evolution and the one who is closer to a human, more than anyone else.

A2 and 2B are close to him but there is still a long way for them, maybe with the data of 9S plus the moon server's data they can evolve.

So whats the difference between normal and hard difficulty in Automata? I know you lose lock on, but how much harder is hard mode to normal?

You can choose in D to stay or go. Although it doesn't really matter since the pods are the ones with the backups anyway. C still makes more sense logistically to me since it isn't so bad for A2 to be revived in that one seeing as she came to terms with things in the end of C instead of just falling over dead. And it seems to be implied in the game to be the canon one like that anon said because of the chapter select.

In this case there would be the ark 9S and the restored earth 9S which was made from the pod data existing simultaneously. Which is even more stupid, in my opinion.
