Serious question- does this game have match making? I just started playing Paladins for the first time today and I've gone through 6 games so far. It looks like a possibly fun game, but it feels like I'm just playing OW's "Player Vs. AI" mode or something. I'm trying to grind gold to unlock a character I want, but these games are all super one sided stomps against the enemy team and I'm kind of wondering when or if the match making system will take me down to pound-town.

Look at the stats, they died mostly 12 times. 3 rounds and they died 4 times a round. Most of those were in the last round when we pushed full on and they kept diving in trying to hold the timer.

My opinions on the champs as a level 29

Inara - she's fun and good if you have a good team
Androxus - it's fun flying around as him
Barik - only worthwhile part of him is to hear him say "LAST ONE STANDING WINS"
Bomb King - it's fun throwing around bombs and hearing his voice lines
Buck - Kind of boring, good voice lines though
Cassie - fun as fuck
Drogoz - also fun as fuck
Evie - I couldn't figure out to play her
Fernando - wish he did more damage. can be boring at sometimes but gives for some nice and relaxing gameplay
Grohk - it's fun zapping a whole group with his right click
Grover - don't know how people enjoy playing him
Kinessa - she's fine until you get flanked by a player who spends way too much time on maeve/skye
Maeve - retard proof flanker, fun to play though
Makoa - great to have on your team and also isnt shit to play
Mal'damba - if you have a good team he's great, otherwise you might as well afk
Pip - fun and the most versatile character
Ruckus - it's nice to melt a team away at low elo, otherwise I have no drive to play him

They won't. Matchmaking will always be bad, it's bad in smite and that game has been out for 3 years now I think. Nando shield and reversal have been broken for months, the devs have even acknowledged it on stream at some point and it's still broken. The loadout one is the most likely to happen I guess, though that one does get brought up fairly often and they still haven't done it.

Played some of this today and find it a pretty fun casual game but the lack of voice chat (as expected) is horrendous. As a new player I'm a very big fan of Pip,Mirage after getting the shatter special instead of the damage booster gold...thingy and the hook turtle. Still kinda on the fence about this artstyle though but it's alright. Map design is passable but wish it had some more depth to it ala tf2.

I don't play Sha Lin at all but I'll give you tips from a flank point of view: Always be aware of your surroundings and as soon as you get ganked go invis and try to get some shots in, flanks are pretty squishy and you can kill them easy. Also try to position yourself with your back to a wall or at a higher point of the map if you're against a Skye.

Looking back a good deal of my deaths were from a Viktor and Maeve flanking me together so maybe I can shoganai that?
The Stun, afterimage and ready "combo" should come in really handy against anything trying to get behind me though so I'll keep that in mind when I next play him
Should I position myself as a sniper or like a Cassie where I'm back lines but still with team or like a Kinessa where I'm 100 feet away from everyone else? I tended to play him more like Kinessa since he had a pretty long range.

both, if you charge up fully or are using planted your shots don't have any drop but you can still hit/ stun people from close range as well
most people I've seen do really well with him stay at a sort of midrange so they can back off or dash forward with their mirage invis
also his stun isn't based on charge time or distance so hitting some flanker right on you with a half charged stun arrow will stun for just as long as landing an across the map full charged shot
couple that with READY's 1600 dps and you can shred both flankers that get next to you and front liners/ support from across the map

I think revamping the Recolor scheme to, rather than being just the static colors it is right now, refund the crystals/gold if anyone bought them.

Then up the price to, say, 100 crystals or 10k gold to unlock an RGB slider (not 0-255, but, say, 20-255 - no one likes pitch black) and let us decide for ourselves, since inherently all the recolors are just color swaps of the same zones either way.
