So, as a new player, is it best to rush junctions so to can get access to all the materials before I start grinding proper? I've made a few weapons (>plat for slots) but I'm not entirely sure how best to progress, I've just opened up Ceres but I've got some stuff left on Mars and Phobos that I haven't looked at.

I take it that 20 minutes survival and 20 wave defence is the best way to go about getting resources?

It's my new favorite secondary. The shotgun mode is a meme due to it's terrible range. The slug mode is fun as fuck and crits like a machine. If you like projectiles and landing snap curved headshots you'll love it. Not to mention it looks and reloads like a dream.

I built mine for crit and pure damage (corrosive). The only utility mod I have on it is Ice Storm which gives it 40% cold and two extra rounds which makes a huge difference in enjoyment.

This is what I run.

I think Scott is actually a pretty okay guy and has the player's interests at heart in a front lines kind of way. Over the last 5 or so devstreams he's made comments on things the others have said to highlight stuff I know I was worried about. He's not perfect and I think there's still a massive gap between him and the players, but he's definitely better than the others.

Steve is really passionate about the game and this is his artistic platform. I don't know if it's because he feels inadequate in his own life or he just constantly seeks approval, but he really does engage with the community. Unfortunately, he has really selective hearing and memory. He's the kind of guy that an echo chamber of positive feedback can destroy. And sometimes it feels like he's already ruined.

I can't think of a single good thing Sheldon has done. I don't hate the guy, but the things attributed to him (usually reward tables) are fucked.

Razorwing snapshots your power str at initial cast. With a power difference of 5% without the consequence of faster drain, EC wins over TF for any toggled ability. Besides, it's not like power STR matters for #1/#2/#3 for Titania. But note that while +str does snapshot, +dmg does not. So an Equinox Dayman Provoke will snapshot whereas a Rhino Roar will not.

Other abilities this works for: Exalted Blade, Hysteria, Sound Quake, World on Fire... etc.

Well that's the thing, there's no competition because Warframe would have never worked. They got significant funding from Canadian government grants in 2011 and 2012 iirc
Most F2P games have to invest a ridiculous amount of money into marketing just to get eyeballs on it, but DE was both really lucky with stumbling onto players willing to promote the game for them /and/ smart about expanding their community team ASAP to engage those people. Though I guess the timing also lines up with YouTube and Twitch providing more ways for players to share what they're playing.

They have competitors... sort of. At the end of the day, every game is competing with every other game for your time and money. When a game feels like it's demanding too much of your time vs. the reward it gives, players move on to other titles with a better time-to-reward ratio. The way DE has been heading in the last 8 months is starting to challenge that sooo...

I donno, man. If Destiny 2 comes out for PC or if ME:A has a really good multiplayer they could be competitors for a similar genre, but I doubt they'll hurt Warframe much. Knowingly or not. DE's Skinner Box model is amplifying the fuck out of Sunk Cost Fallacy for a lot of players.

plus it's still kind of fun to play the game being OP as fuck with movement controls that feel like you're goddamn flying
