Man not that guy but I'm having a bad time now - I've started the game at the end of last season and mained mid - I've read lots of guides and tied to play around enemies cooldown.

I got my mechanics good but map awareness, game knowledge was low - so outside of team fights, chasing 1 v 1 and lane phase I did horrible, yet I've managed to get something like silver 3 and got stuck there.

This season I've started support and started to climb from bronze 5 to gold 5 now - it was muuuch harder than mid laner, but I enjoyed this shit more.

I've got my game knowledge well, map awareness very good now but my mechanics falled apart when I try to play other lanes.

I literally feel like I'm brain dead, If I go on mid now - I end up feeding a lot, back when I was mid main I was the one feeding the least or not at all.

Not sure how to fix this part of me - support is really fun and has a different mindset attached to it, but this feeling of being mechanically retarded now makes me sad.

I've been playing this game for years and I'm going nowhere. I'm a gold shitter in my best roles, and somewhere in the depths of silver in my worst. I've been trying to work around my issues, like watching the map when there's nothing to cs in the next 1-2 seconds or using attack move keyboard shortcut when kiting back but I'm still shit. It also doesn't help that silver/gold is filled with plat/diamond smurfs so at least every second game one lane will lose hard.

Is it considered a crutch to be taking mana regen runes on utility supports like Janna/Soraka/Sona/etc? I feel like if you're good at League you should be able to manage your mana, but sometimes you're forced to burn through it, and having an extra few spellcasts can come in handy.
