Mind's eye is also a bad skill to have on GS. You're not usually comboing so if you do bounce it doesn't matter as much, and you shouldn't be bouncing because you have pretty precise attacks that hit once in a blue moon so you time them to hit the weakest spot possible and on top of that you get a big sharpness modifier that keeps GS from bouncing on parts that any other weapon without natural mind's eye would bounce on. If you need to sacrifice one of those skills it should absolutely be that one.

For example, Uragaan melts to water.

Normal roll without evasion+ skills is more for getting out of the way instead of iframing through but it's good enough to iframe through fast attacks like nargacuga tail swipes, rath or similar tail spins, and glavenus spin2win plus tail sweep fire cloud. Anything besides those you just need to get out of the way of or learn the safe spots. Like you can roll between tigrex's arm and body during a charge but your timing and aim need to be tight to make it through without being hit. And some attacks have spots that are safe to be in. Like when glavenus starts up his spin2win if you stand right under and behind his left leg you will not be hit by it. Good to remember if you can't get out of range and aren't good at timing the roll. There are tricks like this for all the monsters.

In XX and Gen Ultimate if we get it everyone's HR is reset to HR8 if they're above it so when that comes around you can join in the progression phase. I was late to 4U back when I got it and MHG halls had dwindled by then but there were still some popping up. Basically around this point in Gen's lifespan is where I came in during 4U's. Do charm tables that change each time you open the game exist in Gen? Are there any charm configurations that exist only on certain ones so you know you're in the right or wrong table if you see it? For example you want a Pierce Up+5 OOO and you get a Pellet Up+3 Silverwind+2 that only exists in that same table so if you see that you know you're in the right one and just need to keep farming and hoping to get the pierce up. That's not a real example because I don't know how they work but it was just to clarify what I meant.
