is aeriel style easy mode?

MH gen is my first game of this series and i started with a SW without knowing its power.
looked up some guides and they said aeriel SA was the most fun style. played the first 100 hours like this until I decided to try out some other hunter styles. It took me 2 days to get good with striker style and be able to avoid attack again without being able to just jump over monsters that are attack you.

furthermore striker SA is really fun too. Yes, its mostly mashing X but having 3 hunter arts makes good for it.

I don't know if it's optimal but sometimes I do if I can predict where its head is going to be in a few seconds, because it's satisfying to et that off, or if I am pretty sure I can trip it with the small hits leading up to the discharge, since they're a lot more precise than swings. I only rarely use it online though.

He's right. Especially with the bird wyverns. G. Jaggi is a good tutorial monster. He teaches you to circle in a certain direction to dodge tailswipes, how to not stand directly in front of a monster, and how to start paying attention to hipcheck/bodycheck. The dromes just hop around randomly and spit at nothing. They're just -prey with bloated HP. You don't learn anything.

Actually that whole video is correct. It's one of the reasons why 4U had better monster selections then Gen. 1st and 2nd gen mons are mostly trash.

Can anyone confirm for me how you cut Chameleos' tail? Different sources say different things. Some say you need dragon element, some it's just the tip, some it's the whole thing, some it only comes off at 30% health, some even say you don't need cutting damage for it cause it snaps off. It's fucking ridiculous.

If the 30% health thing is true, is it pointless to attack it before then, or can you bring it down to 1hp and have it pop off once you hit the 30% mark?

Hammer is a little under powered right now. I am a hammer main and all I want to say is the damage is too low. The idea for hammer is supposed to be high mobility and high damage for slow attacks and no defenses. Bull fucking shit. MHGEN gives me High mobility yes, but at the cost of damage and my attacks are slow and I am vulnerable to everything. I remember in MHFREEDOM I could kill most mobs in 1 hit, now I have to hit mobs 3 or 4 times! This is ridiculous!

Monster hunter online is really good actually.

Frontier plays a lot like second gen until you unlock weapon styles. at that point things get really crazy and really fun. other than that it plays like a traditional monster hunter

Online plays like 3rd gen without any water. thats how i would describe it. game looks fucking beautiful and its exclusives are pretty good. plus shen gaoren is back and you can never go wrong with shen gaoren

My god I cannot fucking stand monster AI in generations. Monsters barely spend any time at all in each area; they can just up and leave after 10 seconds. Whose fucking great idea at Capcom was it to make you spend more time walking between areas looking for the monster? Everyone's favorite part of the game.

Combined with all the gathering quests, this game feels like the most ridiculous waste of time compared to other titles.

I'm currently using Jaggi S. It has Attack up M after slotting in a few gems, as well as speed sharpen and stun resistance.

I'll switch to double gore eventually, I think that set is one of the stand outs of HR.
