I can't recall exactly but people were throwing around ways to buff sombra. He talked about sombra being able to disable active ults with her own. I think he listed like 76 and bastion. But he said it wouldn't make sense for her to be able to stop bastion or hog I Think? I dislike the stuns/cc and most of the maps. Even the maps I enjoy the most are simply okay and only don't annoy me like the others. Knowing it'll also always be balanced by Blizzard doesn't help either. There's more but I have still enjoy the game.

Anyone else feel like they could use a change to the hero classification system? There's so many heroes that feel like they could easily fit as another class and it just seems odd to have them labelled as only one thing.

I've had this idea for a while, that they could use something along the lines of tag system. You'd give each hero a main tag, to indicate what their primary role is intended, and you give them a secondary tag, to indicate what other type of role they're also well suited to. Some heroes are already pretty big topics for reclassification, like Symmetra is always suggested to be moved to defense. So they could give her support as her primary, with defense as the secondary. Roadhog being another big one, could be tank and offense. Zen could be support and offense, Mei could be defense and tank, Soldier could be offense and support, etc.

Obviously some characters don't seem to have anything they really fall under as a secondary role as we have them currently, but they could always add more as needed. Like they could add a flank tag for characters like Winston(tank/flank), Genji and Tracer(offense/flank), and Sombra(flank/offense or support).

It's not fun for attackers or defenders. Attackers spend almost the whole 2CP game unable to make any progress. Defenders have to desperately hold for an eternity, knowing that loosing only two teamfights is all it takes to lose an entire game. If the game isn't over instantly after those two lost team fights, then it becomes a nonsense game of stall and attrition in an unorganized clusterfuck that's mostly random luck for somewhat even teams. If that weren't enough, the final point stall evaporates even massive timebanked advantage, leading to very much unearned draws.

Oh, and remember how Overwatch is supposed to be fundamentally about hero swapping and counter-picking? Not on 2CP defense. Pick a single meta comp that works equally well against whatever the enemy could possibly throw at you, because you only get two chances. Wait, one. Can't swap for the second point because the attackers are already contesting by the time you respawn with their ultimates ready, so you can't toss away your 80% charge.

It could be fixed by increasing the number of teamfights and pulling back defender spawn to prevent Overtime cheese. You can get more teamfights by slowing down cap rates, making re-takes more viable, making the three ticks more significant, and adding a breather period between caps so desperate attempts to hold the first point aren't so harshly punished. Finally, break draws based on capture-tick progress.

I'm a noob to competitive and I was wondering why Lucio is on literally every team all the time. Is it the speed boost? That he's pretty hard to hunt down? Is it his Ult's ability to counter many other ults? He seems to be more of a staple even than Rein.

My impression was that he would only be used on KotH maps where his speed boost is super valuable, or occasionally on maps where he can boop people into pits. He doesn't heal as much as Anna or Mercy, he doesn't have Anna's utility, and he doesn't do good DPS like Anna and Zenyatta.

And this is even after he keeps getting nerf after nerf. What gives?
