Making it 2 cost instead of 1 is pretty big. Now you can't just use it whenever and still be able to play any of your spellboosted followers for free unless they were already 0-1 cost. Goblin Mage nerf was good because that card limited design space for future expansions and it forces roach decks to either give up their early game or give up their consistency without completely destroying the deck.

If they choose the former then they have a weakness and aggro can roll them over without beefy ancient elves and may to save them. If they give up their consistency then they can brick like dshift and seraph.

PR nerf is pretty big but I'm not sure if it's enough to stop the rune domination.

I actually like the nerfs. There was literally no downside to 1 cost Piercing Rune because of all the spellboostable followers along with it actually making turn 7 DS slightly more common. Mini Goblin nerf is pretty interesting too since it just basically kills the consistency of Roach decks without actually nerfing Roach for other decks. She's still useful in other decks but just not as strong. Roach is a pretty delicate card honestly and making it 0/0 or even 3 cost could make it worthless.

Even though I just crafted Daria and Roach, I'm celebrating the changes. Tempo Forest decks will rise and Roach is still a busted card. The Rune nerf is fair and will tone down the Daria deck but not completely kill it imo. Not being able to be double pierced is a good feeling.

The only worthwhile one drop to get is Skeleton Fighter. The 2 drops sooo much better than Skull Beast and Goblin. Turn 4 play+evolve Lyrial, play Dark Conjurer is going to happen far less often. It's probably better to just run Skeleton Knight in this case.

There is no new Elf deck. It's Tempo, PtP or Wolf memes. Whether any of those will become Tier 1 or not is 100% guaranteed and just a matter of time, since Elf is not allowed to ever leave Tier 1. We just need to wait and see which one it will be.

The real reason why Elf and Rune have always been so OP is because they have insane amounts of card draw.

That's why this Gobu nerf is so bullshit.

It nerfs the only good neutral card draw that other decks besides Elf can use.

So while Elf will still have Nature's Guidance and Glimmering Wings after this nerf, Aggro Blood will have jack shit.

>Dear Cygames, while I have the utmost respect for your game and development team I have been compelled to write you about the upcoming Goblin Mage balance changes. I have never written you before or questioned your balancing decisions, but I believe you have made a serious error.

I am not a Forestcraft player and I agree with you that Forestcraft required balancing changes, which is why I think the spirit of these changes is well intended. But these changes will actually hurt Bloodcraft more than they hurt Forestcraft. Let me explain why.

The ability to tutor Roach with Goblin has indeed made a new powerful Forestcraft deck archetype that is simply too consistent. However, there are other Forestcraft Archetypes that will continue to remain dominant for the simple reason that Forestcraft has the best options to draw cards, such as nature's guidance and glimmering wings, of any class except Runecraft.

However, Goblin Mage was some of the only good card draw for aggro Bloodcraft decks. By reducing her drawing ability this change will hurt Bloodcraft much more than Forestcraft, which is extremely frustrating because Bloodcraft is one of the weakest classes already.

On a personal level, I had spent the entire season refining a decent Bloodcraft deck using Goblin Mage and yesterday I finally succeeded in creating a Bloodcraft deck that can actually win reliably using Goblin Mage.

But with these changes, it feels like all my efforts have been for nothing and I will once again be playing against Forestcraft and Rune at a severe disadvantage. If you follow through with these changes please add some more card draw so that Aggro Bloodcraft decks can compete.

I have really enjoyed this game and spent money on it, but if the development team continues to balance the game in a way that favors Forestcraft, while doing nothing to help Bloodcraft, I can't see myself enjoying this game much longer or spending any more money on it."
