Just doing it, I guess. Different difficulties would be considered different 1ccs (Novice Original vs. Original in Mushihimesama, Normal vs Lunatic in Touhou, etc.) and I'm not really aware of self-imposed bomb limits being a thing besides straight up not bombing once. 1ccing it with different shot types would also be considered separate 1ccs, as far as I've seen.

I find it easier to move by an exact amount of pixels on a linear mechanical keyboard compared to controllers. I had a bit of a hunt through the romlist myself,

found a few newer cave games work now (they didnt last time i was using mame),

the mushihimesama series, Espgaluda II, Ibara, Muchimuchi Pork & Pink Sweets all run well which i'm pretty happy about.

stuff thats in the MAME list since last time that i cant get to work are:

The Psyvariar series, XII Stag and Under Defeat. Might just be the mame version i'm using, either way its games that use the G-Net bios or the Naomi bios that wont work for me.

I didnt do anything, just running MAME 0.182, no tweaks, they run at full speed for me. Dont know how much system specs would effect mame, running an I5 ivy bridge at 3.2ghz and 16 gigs ram. More than likely just the mame version?

also sometimes i just plain suck at dodging, i die very often to the stage 3 boss and sometimes even keep making mistakes in stage 2, regardless of how many times I play it. It's kinda discouraging but I just keep telling myself I need to play more.

There's actually an achievement, at least in the 360 version, for playing as Windia and then not shooting Sakura at all during the fight. After like 4 minutes of pacifism she'll just explode on her own but nothing else changes and the dialogue is the same.

I didn't play much of the Classic mode, but I think you need to graze a lot, point blank as much as possible and no-miss until the final boss (to the TLB if you play on Hard or Extreme). If you can do that, then the part before the final boss should give you an absurd amount of points.
