Honest, haven't been able to get comfortable with thumb either as I have to keep the rest of the fingers bent while the thumb still barely reaches the lower row. An option that I have is to put Seimitsu buttons in so I can actually rest my finger on one of them. Hell, maybe that's what I'll end up doing in a few days when I feel bold enough to play while knowing that I am developing RSI.

Morning practices never seem to go too well. I feel like I'm getting a little better at Canyon, I typically manage to finish the stage without getting hit (up to the boss) at least once per practice session now, which is better than I used to be, but it's still so inconsistent that I don't feel like it means much. It's very different. It feels like a mix between a shmup and a rail shooter. Kinda weird, but very original and cool artstyle and music

It doesn't focus much on dodging but I think it's fun

It has a very generous health system and doesn't even have a credit system because it's somewhat hard to die in this game

It's mostly focuses on scoring (you can turn enemy bullets into points, there's a few different multipliers, etc.)

Game's gimmick is pretty original, though it's hard to wrap your head around it for some time. Game is in 3D but bullet collision is 2D, so you rely on manipulating the camera to change bullet and enemy patterns.

It depends on the ship you're playing with desu, but general rule of thumb is to wait for him to get below the "INSERT COIN" and bombing just before he's starting his next attack. You just want to destroy the outer rings though, so make sure you're not using a full bomb.

Kinda, it doesn't match the presentation/ost imo but it's more technical and less "on rails" than ridge racers whilst still being fully arcade and yes you do a lot of drifting and learning lines, throttling out of slides etc, it's a legit great racer. I recommend the battle gear sequels aswell, only 2 is in pal territory and is called tokyo road race.
