I haven't found a good reason to use the charge up attacks, other than style points. They take way too long to charge up and do less damage than a normal heavy attack chain which also hits faster. Maybe they thought heavy ki damage would be enough reason to use them, but it isn't imo.

If you're talking about iai, it can be upgraded for more damage and come out faster. Also, when you ki pulse, it puts you in iai stance automatically. I'm not in a position to compare this to a heavy high stance combo, but it may be better. Plus it's stylish af.

Seeing as minmaxing is basically pointless, it's generally whatever you need. The only thing to consider is if you use the stat or not. For what it's worth, Body is considered the weakest standalone stat due to how fast the health gains drop off, but if you're a spear user you'll be leveling it up anyways. Same if you prefer using heavy armor; you'll need to upgrade it eventually, so bite the bullet.

After that, it's just whatever stat(s) your gear scales off of, followed by whatever stats your preferred armor type uses.

Dex and Magic can be ignored if you don't use dagger-and-some-yarn and aren't interested in breaking the game's bosses over your knee and don't mind not using the quality of life improvements those trees offer.

Most of your proper capabilities comes from your gear and its bonuses, anyways.

Walls have a preferred gesture type when the level loads in. Blue is nice, yellow is neutral, red is rude.

You get two chances to not piss off the wall, and there generally will be a grave nearby (or really far away, see >>168095184 and >>168095278) from someone fucking up that tell will you one of the three to NOT use. So don't use that gesture type, and you'll be guaranteed to open up the wall without a fight.

God of Omoyo Tier:

On the Forge button, you press Triangle to add a Divine Shard that'll give it a 50/50 chance of being divine.

I would recommend getting your patronage up so you have the upper limit of forged items all the way to 150 (Level 5)
