They likely increased his spread in Sentry so that people wouldn't try to rely on it all the time for everything. Go to Sentry to shred shields, barriers, and distant tanks, switch to Recon to deal with non-tank people up-close. Before that second half wasn't viable because of his spread and low magazine.

I just realized I don't even enjoy overwatch. There's so many frustrating aspects to the game that the only thing that has me playing is the drip-feed of occasional POTGs and loot boxes.

Fuck the sleep dart, fuck the ana grenade, fuck the hook, fuck the flashbang, fuck junkrat entirely, fuck the aimbot, fuck the wallhack, fuck the shoot foot get kill arrow, fuck all the goddamn crutches for shit players in this game.
I don't even care if I win because if we did it's probably because we had a roadhog ana soldier comp.

What's fundamentally different from overwatch to other games is that mechanical skill takes backseat to the abillities, it doesn't matter how good you are, if your team is shit and the other team is decently good you cannot win. You can't carry through pure skill because there's always going to be something putting a stop to it.

Anyone high-ranked got tips for playing without Reinhardt?

My friends I play with are quickly becoming tryhards. Their attitudes are generally fine but they get antsy anytime our team doesn't have a Rein, which is up to me to play since I'm the only one with any experience with him. They're all shitters who've just played like 2 heroes forever.

But I fucking hate Reinhardt.
I'll lose it if I have to play one more game as him.

The worst part is I'm a rank higher than all of them but they worry about composition way more than me. But I can't exactly fault them, when the enemy has a Rein it does feel kind of hopeless to play without one.

Well diamond+ is where I've started to see McCrees that can shoot down a Pharah without needing to reload. You don't have to worry about spread as McCree but falloff damage starts sooner so you've got to make your shots count.

I use the korean dubs. D.va is actually tolerable and tracer/mei doesn't want to make me kill myself despite some people voicing in different languages. D.va and Tracer are so fucking infuriating to listen to in english. I almost always have this issue with games. I don't know what it is about the english language that fucking pisses me off so much, especially when its girls trying to be "cute" and charming. It never works. Never, not once has it worked.
Maybe its because its not my native language or maybe I'm just a massive faggot.

Especially with the small 6v6 teams and the lack of a consistent teleporter. A pick is huge in Overwatch and punishes you like crazy for the first few points.

Why isn't the pull mechanic enough? Like why does the gap closer also need the ability to not only one shot every non tank class and one actual tank? And not only that, the stun makes it so that the hooked target can't at least activate any defensive mechanics they have.

The only balance tweak he needs is to his vape can - it's on an 8 sec cooldown for a 50% self heal ffs.

Hog's big fat and squishy, he shouldn't be able to hook just about anyone then 1 or 2-shot them then waddle round the corner and heal to full and repeat the process every 8 seconds.

This is still a work in progress to get the balance right, but my Balanced Overwatch custom game is wayyy better than the normal game.

What I need is for Blizzard to give me the freedom to begin tweaking hero ability characteristics. Once I can give McCree a short duration Sombra-style ability silence flashbang, then I can tone down his damage more.

Furthermore, I'd like to do changes that make Reinhardt and Zarya more satisfying as tank heroes. The way that I was able to rework Roadhog is PERFECT. Roadhog is the perfect tank right now in Balanced Overwatch.

With 780HP and 600 self-heals, he's difficult to shake off of an objective. It takes a lot of focus fire to kill him. He's so fun and satisfying to play this way. I want to give the same treat to Zarya and Reinhardt so badly, but Blizzard won't allow me to tweak their shield variables.

There's lack of communication i n this game and a giant shield helps with that. Plus maps with chokes you need protection when pushing and he's the only hero that does that right now

As someone who's been maining Rein despite fucking hating playing Rein and tanks in general, I really hope they can add a tank that fills a similar role to Rein, but plays way differently mechanically. I fucking hate standing still and hoping my teammates perform behind me, and I hate playing a character that requires no aim. I have no idea how a character that can block a ton like Rein, but still be fast paced and require aim would work, but god if they don't add something like that soon I'm gonna have to just stick to arcade.

My D.Va changes are excellent. It puts more emphasis on her bullying. She's a mobile tank who jets into peoples faces and harasses them, so I lowered the cooldown on her jets accordingly and gave her a health buff, all at the cost of damage. It really emphasizes her teamplay.

I'm quite proud of how I've adjusted D.Va, I'm sure D.Va mains will love playing her on Balanced Overwatch.

It makes him team-oriented. He has the bulk to always be around the objective and he hooks em' so his allies cooks em'. Balanced Overwatch's Roadhog can't be a lone wolf, he absolutely has to be working with the team to win.

To put things in perspective. A "hook left-click melee" cannot kill a full health Tracer. Your team needs to finish off the Tracer that you hook for her to die, but in my playtesting with a full 6v6 lobby. My teammmates were following up on my hooks. The balance is phenomenal.
