There are minor differences.
There's a story update for exploring the Corridors of Darkness, which was a late-game event in χ[chi].
There's a small story about an asshole Keyblade wielder.
And the most recent update on the JP side was a new side story introducing NPC wielders who were a part of χ[chi]'s final event.

Uχ has a new world (Castle of Dreams), and will be getting two more at least.

As far as the main story is concerned, it hasn't changed yet but we do know that there will be a "season two" that will go beyond the story of the browser game.

The biggest difference right now between the two is the gameplay system. Uχ at this point is also a bit more feature-dense.

You would have to close the lid before you click the "Next stage" button, but yes, that would work i believe. As soon as you have control of Sora and it's not 6pm or 6am in the time you need it then it would just fill the bar up and immediately disqualify you.

hong kong has really cool shows, and paris has the objectively best variant of space mountain, but the atmosphere in hong kong was horrible because it was hot and humid and nobody in china knows how to stand in a god damn line to save their lives

Honestly I didn't find it too sad, because I thought it was implying that Kairi knew something bad was going to happen/something suspicious was going on with Riku.

It's even more obvious since she sounded a little worried after Riku made his speech about different worlds and thanked her.

Not only that but Kairi also asked Sora to never change. So I think that meant she noticed Riku had changed and she was bothered by it.

Then next thing we know there's darkness fucking everywhere and Riku's letting it consume him.

So I don't think Kairi didn't care about Riku, but she was worried about what was going to happen with him.

Riku obviously loves Kairi a lot though.
