What? I'll agree it's part of it, but knowing Archadian politics and that they also have other duties it's very hard to assume that that is all of it; his position tells of the possession of general fighting ability, not that he is among the few best in Archadia.
And still, ghis is a single person with no extraordinary powers and nothing behind him to help, and the main party does have significant training/abilities that are logical. Defeating ghis was on the edge of but still within the realm of possibility.

I can't wait to see how shit the western survey banner ends up being compared to actual intelligent japanese players banner.

FFXV is the first FF game I have ever played, I bought it because a friend recommended it to me, but I am almost three hours in and I am really not impressed.

The main characters are annoying, the story is cheesy, the open world is empty and boring, and the combat is piss-easy (although I am playing on Normal/Medium, I think you have to unlock Hard mode).

Does it get better or should I just not bother?

The only better axe I'll get is Mercedes', and she's about on my third tier of TM farming and I haven't even finished my first tiers as I often don't spare the NRG macroing.
I do not intend to gun for Robin' 'ood or Hunter Sakura even if they weren't time-limited, and I have no idea if I'll roll a second Mercedes (I highly doubt she'll get another banner to try in any case) plus there will eventually come a time where its water element is untenable.

reason 2: the only characters that are good with axes are mercedes and firion. mercedes is shit right now and so is firion. even when firion gets his 6 star which is soon he's still shit. he's good when he gets his enhancements then BiS for Firion will be knuckles + katana + bm + 2 snow TMRs and Yun TMR. mercedes post enhancement is at the same level as primm and bartz.


there are smart anons that save their lapis and tickets who haven't pulled on this shitty banner. we can get a tmr team up 20% by the time you get that axe or 33% if you get the axe and moogle.

the only reason you would even need to use an axe user like mercedes is if you had firion and pulled fire veritas which is a 5 star base 4 months away. by that time you should already have mercedes axe or one of the other better TMR axes.
