The success of heroes is going to depend entirely on adding ways to get free stamina back daily for late game and adding more ways to get feathers that isn't your weekly pvp rank.

If the current ways we know of earning feathers are the only ones then it's literally going to take at least 3 months of playing to upgrade 1 character from 4 star to 5.

stamina isn't a problem until midgame. In other games your max stamina scales with your progress through the game so when you get up you always have a decent amount of things you can do.

Stamina in heroes never moves past 50 while level 40 quests cost 21+ stamina so you can do literally 2 quests before you have to stop.

Some of the 5*s you see aren't true 5*s, they're upgraded versions of a lower rarity unit. It shows in many cases, like the fact that Marth doesn't have a special skill. The true 5*s are rarer and generally better.

By the way, loli Tiki and adult Tiki are two different units, the former counts as a true 5*.
