A +1 modifier is so fucking miniscule, and usually can be accomplished with such a narrow set of TICKING conditions like "in debt" or "relative power", that a tiny shift can bump it to 0 at literally any day
Also, if you kept the clock ticking when you opened the diplo screen, it doesn't update this ticker except on a monthly basis (and sometimes not even then), so you were most likely waiting to press it for a few days and during that time the circumstances changed enough that they don't matter.

I fully agree with that. I'm all for really crude lewd content, but I want a bunch of romance expansion too, and general character interactions might be something to aspire to. That would obviously be something for after we've got a base down, though, and most of the traits which may be added in already included.

I was thinking about it, and we also definitely need to work on a sexual emphasis for pregnancy. Pregnancy gets really shafted in CK2 and Dark World generally and it needs some attention, aside from just the actual impregnating part of it.

Also, sexual slavery and slave trading is probably something to include as well. It would help make the Vikings even more of a threat (capture your daughter and sell her off to some lord, now this bumfuck asshole in the middle of nowhere has a kid by your daughter who's got a claim on your titles) and might even be able to become part of a more dynamic meta-economy if it's done well enough.

Pregnancy I think has a really good start/mechanic, Geminsnacht mod has a good one. Women's pregnancies are tracked and have things like hard pregnancy, and also sort of disabling certain actions as the baby nearly comes to term and they're most vulnerable. And expanding on lewdmod possibilities, this can also be something fetishized, so say modifiers influencing more to twins/triplets/even more, pregnant with nonhuman spawn, hosting eggs or tentacles or other infestations, or even say, crossing to succubus things like being a more experienced/powerful succubus being able to not be disabled by pregnancy, or getting boosts to pregnancy, or even getting stats/addicted to being pregnant.

I guess to chime in from my perspective, the reason why I don't like VIET is because it made a bunch of awful cringey references and so much of the content was simple one-offs, like "oh you saw some roses that's nice."

I think one-off events (like having dinner with your wife, discussing tactics with your marshall, etc.) are fine, but IMO the majority of events should be longer and should have actual player input, so it doesn't feel like your game is just being paused once a month so you can get 1 prestige from picking a flower. Make the individual events firing quite a lot rarer, but have many of them for many situations and make them vary reasonably.

I can't lie, I didn't really get to that part, so I don't know what to recommend. All I know is that it makes sense for raiding groups to be brokers of slaves, so any slave economy should originate in the steppes or via Viking raids, with the slave system gradually shifting toward a stable supply generated from nomads and a more temperamental supply generated by large-scale wars and capturing of hostiles.

Well generally, what can happen in DW slavery is that you can brand any prisoner, and start training them (they become part of your court) which sadly got turned from only manual to only automatic.

For an actual economy, it'd have to take something like realm modifiers, since most slaves are commoners, and frankly most of the commoners are not seen via your court. Maybe raiding a lot can build up your economy (maybe via multiple tiers of global flags), as well as maybe, specific targeted actions that allow other rulers to ask specifically for a slave (and maybe that can be done via global flags, so it allows you to pick slaves you want).

From my understanding, it can be done via hidden flags, traits, or combinations thereof. You already get a flag when you're pregnant, and so what I think, say, the Warhammer mod does, is that it tracks the time having gone past, which when it hits the final trimester, it gives you the trait "Final Months of Pregnancy" which disable many of your actions. We know pregnancies are on average 9 months, so it just could be as simple as assigning the trait after 180 days.

As for methods, I suppose it would depend on what choices one takes, randomizer, and submods. So like, say, if the magic/alchemy/etc portion is enabled, it could be a side effect of having had children, and trying to raise your fertility via a potion.

Also, it's not like women were absolutely barren after 45, even then. It would have to depend on though on submods.

I know you don't mean it literally, but I feel that events should still be rare enough that you aren't getting a long chain once every other month. Maybe one or two a year is somewhere reasonable, with 3-4 one-off or otherwise brief events firing in that same year period.

In other words, the events should be quality and there should be a lot of them so there's not tedious repetition (another issue with DW), but they shouldn't overtake the game, I think.

I meant more on an abstract scale, like the majority of slaves should originate dynamically either from the steppe (where the majority of raiding will happen in the mid/late game) or from areas where major conflicts occurred, thus prisoners were taken. Although obviously the sale of prisoners should generate income, and perhaps depending upon culture, religion, and capital location (I'm thinking a coastal restriction) slave markets might be something you can construct. Maybe even under specific conditions other religions/cultures can construct markets and get a special CB to simulate raiding, like Iberians for North Africans.

I was speaking most specifically of the in-game hard limit on pregnancy, although yes, depending upon submod that could probably be altered. Although I don't know how it would be made differential, as the last time I checked it's a limit that's universal to all women, regardless of traits. Some mods (Elder Kings) get around it, though, so it must be possible.

You can massively skew the odds by defending with bullshit generals and getting good odds on start. For instance they roll a 1 and lose -2 from terrain and you roll and 8 and get +5 from General.
Prussians got couple for instance on start.

Made a flowchart for a set of hindu events tied to their deities.

A lot of them lead to +leader skill and a ruler modifier that keeps you from getting the event chain again.

I changed to Sikhism after getting my leader from dip 2 to dip 4, and then I got another event tied to the ruler modifier that gave me another +2 so I ended up at 6 dip skill.
It was mp so didn't have time to read the dialog box but I think I'll test to see what it was, maybe it was a bug that made me get the same event result another time.
Also curious if the ruler modifier disappears upon changing religion, if so you could get the event to increase your ruler skill, then change to sikh, then accept hindu demands and then get another ruler skill increase.
