Problem is, the only time the slow is worth literally anything is at level 25 if you take the +20% slow talent, but if you've reached that point then everyone has a way to break it anyway with bkb/manta/whatever

hardly anyone but alliance did it, and several teams started copied it once they saw it, but it wasnt just bulldong buybacking at lvl 5 and rejoining a fight and turning it into a won fight into objectives for the mere cost of 3-400 gold, I remember loda simply buybacking after getting ganked, tping to a tower that was pushed in (which the other team had pushed beforehand to get the map control to gank him), and he'd just buyback, nuke the wave down (gyro was big back then), and earn all his gold back and a little more, and then easily re-establish map controll and the enemy hardly made any grounds on it.
im glad buybacks are nerfed now, but it was eye opening to see that shit.

I don't think that's enough, consider that Radiant has the riskiest rune in the game and the shrines are usually farter than Dire's.

On the other hand I have to add that Radiant's jungle feels safer than Dire's, specially the area near mid and their ancients are generally safer to farm too. Also there are no good defensive Dire wards, while Radiant spots can work the same for both teams the same cannot be said for Dire's.

Also Dire's top pull is fucking weird as fuck, why does the camp need to be so far from the lane? It's too risky to pull and to easy to interrupt to be even worth trying even in a 2v1 situation.

Just a trashy pub player here with plenty of Dota 2 experience since before TI3 4 years ago. However, my gf is a regular person and hates DotA and so I’m always sneaking twitch streams and ranked games from her.

I kinda want to try to quit playing so that I can surprise her as well as be more productive so that I can work a normal job and finish my degree. I just feel tentative to quit because I understand how normal human beings don't talk to each other in twitch memes and I’m afraid that I’ll be so awkward ( haHAA cringe haHAA ) people will hate me. It also looks like a fun time not playing Dota 2 all day so I’d like to try but I know I will just reinstall it again so I’m worried about that too. Any advice?

Edit: Thank you for all your advice and input, I appreciate it so much! I will definitely give uninstalling Dota 2 a try and keep to regular social situations at first until I can stop talking like Arteezy (wE acUTALUY fCKHing LoST, gET ME OUUT). Then over time when I can talk to people confidently, I’ll tell her and I think it would be a nice unexpected surprise. It’s really way out of my comfort zone. My hobby’s gaming and hers is makeup so I think she’ll have a good laugh.

I’ll honestly give quitting a try from this post alone because the community has been much more open to the idea of me leaving Dota 2 forever than I thought.
