I just hit 60 BLM (first 60) and I have about 2mil, should I buy some crafted pieces? I already have my 235 POTD weapon and I'm close to the 255.

I haven't started any of the level 60 MSQ's yet but I'm about to, will those give me access to better gear? wat do.

So I just recently beat Ultima Weapon in the MSQ, and saw that there was a quest to just fight it. Assuming that there was nothing different, I jumped right into it as a Paladin figuring that it'd just be a piece of cake.

Holy shit I had no fucking idea what was going on at all, and I am so, SO glad that my party was so helpful. People say that there are assholes in this game, but the people I've been running into are extremely understanding.

Well I mean I'm at ilevel 158 since I just hit 60, I want to raid but I'm not even sure what that entails yet since I've been focused on leveling.

I guess I'm pretty much asking whats the quickest way to get to a raid acceptable item level? I don't see much to spend gil on anyways, I have an apartment and there's no houses avaliable anywhere on gilg so.. I dunno.

I typed "it's the only color I can abide" on that dress because of how the dye system works. The pearl white undergown changes color, too, and that pisses me off but that shade of red it comes in doesn't appeal to me.

All my jobs have their headgear glamored to look basically the same anyways once I reach a certain level.

For me I care mostly about how the class plays and if I have fun with it. So far I've enjoyed my lvl 60 dragoon and it's been fun so far at lvl 48 scholar.

Yeah it gets better once you have all your skills. You will be using basically all of them, and there are a lot of positionals and such. Jumps, buffs, positionals, two combos with positionals. It's pretty involved

You have to pick one, it will be your healer for the rest of your subscription even if you change accounts/characters/etc You have to take them in every duty you do

If tank or healer it's debatable. Dungeons may give you a little more exp and experience playing the class in a party, but potd is an opportunity to build up cash reserves and work toward your kinna weapon for when you hit 60 in it. Personally, i mix it up. I do potd and go into dungeons when potd gets repetitive

Even if you say this, I honestly find it unlikely that any group ever did a blind one shot of Scathach. Even assuming the group had healers awake to heal through the shadows when they first came out and completely trivialized that mechanic, I don't think the odds of one shotting her when it's almost inevitable that shadows would happen at the time she'd jump and Shadowsmite, or the later phase's shadows + shadow limbs + shadowsmite then thirty souls. The odds of a blind group not wiping there on day one were incredibly slim. If you've got a run where people who already cleared tells everyone what happens in Alliance chat, that's a bit more likely
