It's way more than 4 and you have to control your pet. DRG on the other hand is alot of buttons but you literally can faceroll and be fine. NIN takes some thought to get good dps.

Contrary to popular belief, you could even heal through people fucking up Sin and Punishment in September as long as you could see it was about to happen. There was nowhere else to mess up. Execute was managed by following the person with a braincell, tilts were handled by following the person with a braincell. You could lead people through Sophia EX in PF by telling them in chat "follow me for tilts and Execute"

I'm talking from personal experience, I don't know what the heck you're thinking where they DIDN'T have multiple stacks on them for Sin and Punishment. What I just described is assuming they fucked up, people have two stacks at least and you heal through them because Medica II before Infirmity is applied is, and always will be, overpowered. I'll say it again, Sophia EX was incredibly easy to teach people, because you just told them to follow you around and you corrected Sin and Punishment for them when you could see they were about to mess up. This is entirely personal experience across two characters where I not only farmed her and never got my bird, I had to heal Sophia in September to get my Sophic weapon to then run my healer character through Savage pugs at ilvl

Well yeah, I guess so. But my original point was that one person needed a braincell for release Sophia EX. Even if you excluded the fact you can fix Sin and Punishment for them, as long as the healers weren't dead, you could salvage a run because that enrage timer was unbelievably kind for its ilvl. In Zurvan EX, the healer having the single braincell really does not work out well and I've had to DPS it every time because otherwise there is a serious problem with pugs in the adds and I've actually seen the damn meteor land when I was healing because as a healer if you have a group that sees Soar, you're pretty good because you don't get a circle unless a DPS is already dead. So then you kinda watch the DPS kill themselves and then you raise them with Weakness, then you see Wave Cannon, then their damage is shit and suddenly the Wit has casted meteor and everyone's eating 100k.

It's just when you go into the add phase with pretty low DPS DPS players with weakness, they do exceptionally shit DPS. The fact the Wit actually finished its cast is just depressing as a result. It shouldn't actually finish, but sometimes you just have to experience the impossible. It's less terrible to somehow die to the ultimate than it is to die to Meracydian Meteor

The idea is to squeeze as many DPS jobs into the group as possible. They're essentially trying to double up and guarantee they won't see Soar which is where most of the fight's downtime would come from, too. You're not wrong, if they fuck up it's a pain to heal, but at the same time those mistakes are basically all Southern Cross, Broken Seal and Broken Seal's follow up AoE depending on the position of the meteors

Why is SCH so fucking good as an off-healer? It's the fairy isn't it? No matter what comp I've had in parties, if there's not a SCH there it seems like the healers end up having to spend even more time healing/dropping stance.

Does anyone wanna farm birds with me?

I started playing this game about a month ago and mostly i've been using my PS4 controller to play but i'm sure that end game players mostly use KB&M

I fucking hate the UI for KB&M though, it feels clunky as hell and i'm wondering if there's anything I can do to help make it not so awful? I don't have an MMO mouse so pressing 1-9 for abilities is annoying and like I said it's clunky

If the WHM is the off-healer in savage content, how often should they be using Regen?

Our group's WHM is in the 80/90th percentile on most fights because they aren't the one doing the healing, and they still use Regens and Medica IIs for support, but the main tank feels like he needs to stay in tank stance and the off-healer is barely able to contribute any dps beyond the first minute of any fight. For comparison, in most fights the off-healer (Noct.Ast) is in the single digit or teens dps-wise, and the tank is in the low 20s/30s most of the time because he spends so much time in tank stance. Is it worth talking to the WHM about, or do I just need to tell the off-healer to git gud?

Can I use PVP gear outside of PVP? I'm only around iLvl 200, but this new gear is 235 and has much better stats than what I have currently outside of farming Alexander.

I know it says on the item that the materia doesnt work outside of PVP, but I'm curious if that's JUST the materia slots, or if the stats for the gear doesn't work either and it just becomes glamour?

Is it worth using Shockwave as a SMN? I notice it makes Garuda move forward and sometimes makes her miss wind blades.

One healer dpsing while the other does nearly all the healing is the least efficient way to manage the healer dynamic. Talk to your healers and suggest that they share the burden of doing both dps and healing. You'll still have a healer who will be doing a greater part of the healing most of the time (and it should honestly be your WHM) but shared healer dps is far better than lopsided dps.

For reference, both me and the other healer in my group (WHM/SCH) are 70+ percentile in all fights and we both cover key parts of each fight. Then again, outside of those key parts, there isn't that much healing in this tier.

Honestly this isn't the first time you have posted about this, and if you see in the stats that the WHM is keeping regen up (medica II when necessary) and using his off gcd heals and the AST and MT are still doing bad DPS, it's probably not the WHM. I am an average raider in an average group and my co and I still both average in the 75-85 range for dps even when we've got an outsized healing split like 66/33. We're often equal or with me doing slightly more when we're SCH/AST but often a bit more outsized when doing WHM/AST. Sometimes we'll get like 70/90 or 65/85 but never a difference of more than one color tier. So for someone to parse purple while the other is constantly getting grays, that's an issue of fundamentals and/or mental issues (like being over-anxious).

That's the thing though, whether or not Regen is up fluctuates so goddamn much. On one log, it's up like 13 times and healing 130k, in others it's used less than 5 times. I'm just trying to find ways to push dps, but since the dps aren't that great, it means the healers or the tanks are having to find ways to eke out as much dps as possible, however the issue is that the main healer, the Noct.Ast, doesn't have the acc to dps and not miss, and doesn't like dpsing/doesn't have much chance to dps as it is.

The other healer doesn't like to dps, but the few times they have dps'd, we've pushed phases much easier and much faster than if they don't, so the dps they do contribute makes up a lot. I'm really frustrated because I can't tell if the WHM is pulling their weight, or if the other healer isn't, or what. But I don't want to recommend something, and have it be wrong.
