i think the world record now is 9mins and its unobtainable due to DE fixing exploits and ONLY EXPLOITS

I doubt anyone has it but I remember a webm of a red rhino flying through a level at max speed. It is what made me want to get into warframe.

For a relative casual who doesn't raid, but does do sorties; what would you guys recommend looking at as far as Melee weapons are concerned? I see quite a few that get me rock hard in concept but I'm too new to understand the nuances in the stats

Torid is a pretty fun weapon, but you'll need to forma it to get it competitive. Its grenades do alright damage and the gas cloud it makes shits status like nobody's business. Plus, you can stick the grenades to allies and some bubbles, and it deals damage through walls and floors.

I finally worked that one out after days of trial and error. Loki + Aim Glide mods, Radial Disarm, Soma P (or other bullet hose), Corpus Defense. Spam Disarm, then drive by those fat-headed niggas when they bunch up to prod the pod. Got it within 10 waves with that strat.

Rakta Cernos is sort of the only bow. Dread looks better on paper until you realize how fucking long a full 1s charge is compared to the Rakta's 1/4, plus energy proc is icing on the cake.

Lanka and Vectis Prime are go to Snipers.

lexp will give you better average damage output and higher potential range on damage (with the primed crit mods) with a better base IPS spread against armor, vaylok will give you a higher consistent minimum damage (and the minor benefits of the syndicate proc) plus the firing animations; you can get by with either in the same situation (though the lex will probably get you a bit further in some hypothetical post-DEAC situation) so just choose one based on style in which case the vaykor marelok is the objectively correct choice :^)

Bows are fairly strong in general, though Rakta Cernos' syndicate proc probably pushes it to the front of the line. Dread, Paris P and Cernos P are all capable of huge damage, though.

I like to use Rubico for Sniper-only sorties, though I'll usually take a damage frame as well, because snipers suck.

Nidus is extremely good.

He comes with amazing CC that lets you put a room full of enemies wherever you want them to be.

His survivability is second only to shit that literally can not die and maybe Inaros depending on the situation.

His damage is outstanding. Maybe the best of any warframe aside from Equinox shenanigans.

He even comes with a bit of team utility in the form of healing and power boosts.

Playing with one frame only is possible, but incredibly dull. Frost and Ash shitters do it every day.

Leveling in this game is based entirely on how much gear you rank up, so farm and build as much stuff as you can.

Spend all plat on slots for said stuff.

It's rough going at first, but really fun once you get your character rolling, work out the mechanics and have lots of stuff cooking in the foundry. It's also no fun whatsoever and basically driven by pure autism after you reach a certain point, so be wary.

Wide area effect melee weapons can cause the spores to bounce around an enemy group just like other ranged spore popping options.
