1) smoother early power progression, skill progression is alos better
2) more streamlined tree progression, clusters are meaningful instead of being random nodes
3) more streamlined act progression
4) a lot more build diversity
5) rework of design limiting aspects of the meta such as easily available single target leech, max block, 95 all resistances, snapshotting, shotgunning
6) class identity with ascendancy, class choice is no longer a cosmetic choice
7) end game not gated by tedious map starvation but actual difficulty
8) t1 uniques no longer worth 50 ex each
9) SSF players have more options to enjoy the game than ever
10) enforced map progression, more options for rewarding end game content (uber lab, maps, atziri, guardians, shaper)

just to name a few improvements that are non-technical
closed beta PoE was shit compared to 2016 PoE, this is factual unless your nostalgia goggles prevent you to think rationally

I just RIPd my second cyclone slayer. I'm slowly realizing life based isn't working for me. 6.2k hp, fort, enfeeble, 6 end charges and flasks made me feel immortal 99.5% of the time, but 3 unlucky hits in a row and you're fucked.
Thankfully I didn't purchase any major upgrades so I still have about 10ex to play with. What are the high speed fotm ES builds. My slayer had 110% move speed and mowing stuff down was fun.

This HoWA keeps being mentioned. BV seems a bit passive and boring. I want something with good feedback. Lacerate has a nice feel to it but can it be built as ES?

But some stuff is connected, due to the game being made easier there is more build diversity because any build can work. In the past this wasn't the case.

The game is good at the moment and I like stuff they added such as labyrinth. I don't think ascendancy classes were needed, they just contributed to skill imbalance. Ever since somewhere in 2.0 they stopped doing nerfs in the middle of a league and the game really went downhill from there since everyone just ended up playing builds that were almost unkillable while at the same time having insane clear speed.

move the brute force from the bottom socket to the top left that he's taking for some reason and spec into the +30 node up there to balance what would've been taken from the bottom socket with 2 saved points, take 2 jewel sockets for +26 rare jewels with other stats too, deep wisdom for +20, and 7 random pathing nodes for a total of 196 int in 11 points, which is better than the 194 a perfect rolled astra would get, and much cheaper.

I always do a few extra runs of easy zones to keep myself within at least 4 levels of the area.
The pit run before Daresso's arena wp is a good one. Linear, dense mob packs, lots of blues. Actually thats probably the only one. I run it 3-4 times each difficulty and find it keeps me reasonably close so I can head straight into dried lakes.

I've never seen a fanbase get fucked so hard by a dev before in my life and not only get totally robbed blind but take it like a champ and ask for more

Its a single target skill that applies a debuff. The debuff causes totems to do increased damage to that target, as well as focus attacks on that target if possible (IE if a totem is using scorching ray, the totem will aim the ray at that target if it is in range). Also I got this on my Witch, so I sent it to my Ranger. It's 22 now, still using this lv5 weapon. Should I replace it with a yellow one soon? Rarity makes me feel inclined to keep it longer.

The best part of a F2P game is that you can try the next expo for completely fucking free and not pay shit. You don't have to buy shit (you should already have all tabs you'll ever need by now). If this actually does kill the game you can wipe your hands of it whenever.

It fucking sucks that 3.0 is basically 6 months from now though so next league is just a shit filler league.

1 very specific build (Explosive Arrow) uses it endgame. And that's basically the only use for it. If you aren't using Explosive Arrow you shouldn't be using that bow.

That's the problem thought. I don't want 3.0 to kill PoE. I like PoE. But Xbone release and announcement WILL alienate the current playerbase and without a playerbase no amount of whales can keep a game afloat. For one, nobody will be in the cities to check out their $300 MTX setup.

one of my first characters was a flameblast totem build but i was inefficient and just awful in general. I remember disliking it a lot due to shit cast speed and feeling clunky

Im thinking about running it again but not sure i disliked it because it didnt suit me, or i was just shit (didnt even do labs until 70+)

I have a feeling that if the 2.6 league is good enough, people will still try out the next league. If it's good enough, player numbers will be fine. Plus if their China income is good enough they don't even have to worry about the western base anymore.

Granted at that point I'll probably quit, but I'm basically done with the league already so I really have no qualms about not playing for a few months.

Have you tried ignite vortex? AoE ignites and perfect for CI/LL. I had fun 2 leagues ago with it. Only problem is if you can't ignite but otherwise kills really well.

Quill Rain is actually bad weapon for anything before EA. It does the same damage as a white shortbow because of 50% less weapon damage. Meaning you shouldn't have actually ever have used it.

It's not too rare. Kinda lucky, but realize that 99% of unique drops you get early on kinda suck. Watch specifically for Lifesprig, Axium, Tabula Rasa, and Goldrim. A few others, but you can always price check on poe.trade to make sure it's worth keeping (most uniques get vendored).

Those tabs came out years after stack sizes were set. Game is basically unplayable with 4 tabs if you want to do endgame and trade anyways (pretty sure I have enough currency to fill 4 tabs).
