That was the first thing I noticed about Kronos: drop chances on quest items would often be so horrifically bad that after spending half an hour farming dozens of mobs for a quest it would still be more efficient to drop the quest and never look back.

Gone from 12k in Q at 2pm, to 2k in Q now at 6pm...

Yes, I am. They are very easily able to detect events in game. They already are tracking every single trade in game, case by case, and banning players off of it. That includes people banned for simply being traded mount money, because the mods thought they bought gold. They can do this, they can absolutely watch you stand there pressing a few buttons every once in a bit.

Original Nostalrius was a meme server in the sense that it had a stock mangos 1.12.1 core with only marginal changes when it launched. Players familiar with bugs and exploits cheated the shit out of the server in its opening 6 months. It was a complete buggy bait shop.
BUT! It was also highly advertised by streamers and became a sensation in terms of player population. It was literally something the private server scene hadn't witnessed before. Over time there were improvements to the server set, more oldschool players jumped in and drug some of their Retail friends in as well, the Chinese farmer shops set up business like never before, and it all got shut down, etc. For a lot of people, it was amazing fun.

Kronos was the other project opening around the same time. Chero, the lead dev, as well as the rest of his team put in a tremendous amount of work with bug and exploit fixing before the server launched. Unfortunately it had a rough launch involving stability for the first 3-4 days and the people who were on the fence as to which server to go to were memed into staying on Nostalrius, which had opened 1 month earlier. The server went into a state of decline 8 months into its life, gained attention for its quality after the x7 experience hike that lasted for 5 weeks, and then was swarmed by Nost refugees when their server closed.
The server set is now in a state of decline due to...

Current Valkyrie(Nostalrius) & Elysium. This server is proven to use the same older Valkyrie core, and NOT the Nostalrius core from the previous server set. It only offered the chance to play their old characters as the player account database had been handed off. Quality of the server is mixed in being better than old Nostalrius in some respects, and absolutely worse in others. It's been memed into popularity by livestreamers yet again.

tldr; Kronos bans VPN's & Proxies, has much better scripting with instances and player abilities / talents / spells, But dying pop

Character abilities however blew doors over Nostalrius or nearly any other 1.12.1 server. Show me on Nostalrius all of paladin & shaman abilities working properly, along with priest racial spells, human stealth detection racial, and stealth in general working right.
