It has great concealment. Something with a natural stealth fire cannot be said to have shit conceal. The turning is also completely average. It's an incredible all rounder and arguably the best of its kind in among tier 7 DDs, edging out Leningrad and Sims, which is more of a niche but my personal favorite. Its only real flaw is being matched up often against ships with concealment expert. Also being from a one-off nation that requires a new captain. If you can't excel in Blys, gunboating is not for you.

V: New York has a lot of guns and a powerful broadside, but is slow as fuck and you have to expose your entire side to fire everything. I'd say it's underpowered next to the Konig, though it's better at long range.

VI: New Mexico is really where the line comes together. Still the same typical mobility, but a surpisingly nice rudder shift upgraded, a good AA suite, and twelve guns in four triple turrets, letting you fire a shitload of shells. Good for popping cruisers and destroyers. Also, the turret set up finally allows you to angle and bring all guns without broadsiding like a retard.

VII: Colorado is unassuming. Standard 20 knot package, same hull as New Mexico even. Guns switch to 8 instead of 12, but are 16 inchers, with accuracy and a quicker reload. Only problem is the meme tier health pool, but she's good at the slow advance you're going to be doing in every USN BB.

Most citadels are located underwater. You can see it on the armor viewer in port. Ideally the shells will connect right around the waterline and drive down into it. That's the basics. At least you aren't one of those poor fucks who thought the citadel was located in the superstructure.

I had a huge post all written up, but I accidentally deleted it. Apparently I didn't have that replay saved either, oh well.

The Montana has good armor and most BBs at Tier X are shits who are scared to scratch the paint. I learned while I was in my Colorado that I needed to get close if I wanted to hurt someone, and I never shook that habit. My secondaries have a 10% fire chance, -85% dispersion, 9.1km range, and 3.4s reload. Unlike the Iowa and NC, these things the Mk32s are perfect. They're like lazer machine guns, lighting up any stupid fool in my path. I went AFT, Basics of Survival, Expert Marksman, Vigilance, AFT, and Manual Secondaries. My modules are turret survival, secondaries, main battery reload, steering gear, damage control, and target acquisition. The TA helps you spot torpedoes and enemy boats

So I get close. The Iowa and the NC do a really good job of making you remember to angle, and most people don't expect a BB to come barreling down on them so they panic and either run away or just sit there unprepared. I went reload, so my main batteries reload in 26.4s and at that range, I can punch through any armor and hit any target. I have the steering gear mod and I have the game sense to know when they're launching torpedoes, so I dodge and weave. Bow on, there's almost nothing anyone can do to you. The little shits trying to burn me get punched by my main batteries, even Yamatos aren't immune.

It's a fucking glorious thing. The Colorado taught me to brawl, the NC and the Iowa taught me how to angle. Not that I didn't know before, but they really make you master them or die trying. Just know the arcs of torpedo boats, remember to slow down before you turn, and always be hiding.

Most of my ships have some secondary boosts. A lot of the skills overlap with AA, and BBs are usually left out to dry by cruisers regardless of any tier (destroyers and their smokes are bro-tier though).

The thing is, the arguably game revolves around them a bit too much. BBs dictate the flow of the game, and almost half of every team is made of them. Furthermore, the best counter to BB is another BB, so it's very possible to carry many games by yourself if you're good enough.
In the meantime, cruisers in most games get to shoot other cruisers at max range and pray for fires. I've no complains about DDs though.

WG let them be completely broekn and OP for a year (thanks to the STs and theri CVnt fanbois shouting down all opposition and effectively fabricating results for the supertest and common test servers).

Then WG looked at their statistics, noticed that CVs with 60 - 80% avg WR were maybe a bit gamebreaking, and that 99% of the people who left the game did so becasue the only decisive factor in the game was the carrier.

Cue a series of nerfs that almost neutered CVs and forces them to exclusively attack lower-tier targets that are still unable to fight back in any way.

Good jjob, supertesters. You had your OP class for a year, drove off 70% of the playerbase, and now cry into your beer about how your pet class is shit instead of working for a balanced approach from th start.

Do you think taking a break from playing a class can affect your play? I took a break from RU DDs to make some money with cruisers and apart from t7 getting suddenly flooded with retards I can't find any other explanation for why these past 2-3 days have been nothing but suffering.
