I do read Victoria like someone having become attracted to girls, through a growing romantical aversion towards men and an unconscious, insecure need to be understood and appreciated, and experiencing cognitive dissonance as a result, which rather than let it hurt her inside, she turns outwards against those people that evoke that dissonance in her (Rachel, Max, Kate).

Rachel probably teased her mercilessly, with her social easygoingness, sass, flirtiness, just sexyness. Also her effortless-seeming better-than-you-ness and security in herself. The latter being obviously more projection than reality.

I always liked the idea they've had a dirty fling at a party that Victoria can't get out of her head.

The series could be about Rachel and Chloe, while giving glimpses of Max in Seattle.
How none of them are really that happy and feel like they're missing something big from their life. It ends with Rachel's downfall because she's lying to people and gets mixed up in something very bad, Chloe trying to go on and find Rachel but also secretly holding out hope Max will come back, and Max getting ready to go back to Arcadia Bay.
Throw in some sideplots, mystery, and supernatural stuff and you have some potential to add to the story without showing anything from the game. Lots of familiarity and also chances to try new stuff.

That was fantastic! Glad to know Sbel is still capable of creating comfy stuff.
I really liked Chloe's room with the lights and snow out the window (Plus her laptop background being her and Max as kids), Joyce and David being happier, and Max and Chloe on the couch.
Oddly enough, that Chip n' Dale cartoon they were watching has always been the one thing that comes to my mind when I think of Christmas Cartoons. The colors are so pretty in it and exploring the inside of the tree is cool.

I know I'm incredibly late to the party, but I just finished the game, figured I might try it since it was on sale. Overall pretty pleased with it, but one small detail bothers me.

How did Max tearing up the contest photo return her to the Dark Room reality? I'm just not sure how her possessing that photo prevented her from warning David about Jefferson early.

At best he'd be laughed at. It was more likely he'd simply be locked up.

But then she quietly whispered that it was OK, that she was here to save everyone, not to hurt them. She just needed a way to get everyone out of town on Friday, because "something bad" was going to happen then. Preferably up the hill by the lighthouse. Apparently that was safe. She'd wracked her brain trying to figure a way of doing that, before the obvious solution struck her: how do you get a small sea level town positioned by a bay that opens onto the pacific ocean to evacuate to the nearest high point?

All she needed him to do was tell everyone he'd received a tsunami warning, and to activate the evacuation procedure they had in place.

The police chief tried to bring up the simple matter that it would almost certainly cost him his job, calling in a fraudulent evacuation. The girl didn't let him start, she apparently knew what he was going to say, and instead showed him a slip of paper, a ticket for the state lottery draw. A winning lottery ticket.

"Shall I cut you in for 5 million?" She asked.

"One other thing", she said on her way out. "The high school teacher, Mark Jefferson, is a kidnapper and a murderer. If you go to the junkyard this evening, you'll find him lurking with a gun, anesthetic, and a phone full of texts trying to bait a certain high school student there. Me in fact. Obviously I won't be attending. I hope you'll be able to give him my apologies."

Max wins, saves as many people as possible, and won't have to answer to anyone.

Makes sense. I guess a blurry streetlight silhouette outside the window or some snow building up at the bottom of it could make it more obvious, but the seat in the back already told me this was either a car or train ride scnenario (and there actually seems to be some snow buildup already, too).

And I ~really~ like it. I can really feel the heavyness in Max here - both that of her body and sleep, leaning onto Chloe physically and figuratively. The Christmas sweaters and snow obviously place it somewhere else, but it's got a nice post-Bae sentiment going on; Max after all she's gone through so very tired and worn out, emotionally and physically, but also very content and where she belongs and just "with Chloe" inside and out. Chloe for herself so unbelievably happy to have Max like that, content and glad she herself is still there and can be the one Max leans on for comfort. Glad that she can return the favour.
