That depends entirely on your class. But resetting your skills is free, you can wing it for a pretty long time before having to worry about what's optimal and what isn't. Feel free to play around while leveling and find what you like best.

For PVE honestly tiers don't matter that much. Even the worst classes can hold their own with enough investment. What's important is to play what you find most fun.

Just started this game and I'm enjoying Sword Master.
Should I be using hotkeys?
I come from a poverty fighting game background keyboard purist so I'm already used to doing inputs and it feels weird to set some specific skills on hotkeys when I can just set the input I like for each of them. Currently the only skill I have bound to a hotkey that I'm actually using is my grab.

I'm already level 35. Am I going to find myself overwhelmed or be suboptimal if I don't start using hotkeys?

Why is it so difficult to gear an Overmind? In order for you not to be treated as shit, you need to have an epic weapon, 5/5 DG, and everything. And if you don't have these, no matter how cute you are, you will remain garbage.

Buffs on spacebar:
left left spacebar (basically every main buff)
up, up spacebar (secondary buff)
Up left spacebar (thertiary)
down down spacebar (for low duration like taunt or fnen she has shitload of buffs)
Left bot right spacebar (for something like elemental circle: use once and forget)

Awakenings on something i can't press accidentally but still need to do quickly
First - top right Z
Second - either on hotbar if i need to aim it or "left, top, right, z" if i don't.
I would use manual always but for some reason i can do "from right to left" easy but "left to right" combo is basically impossible for me.

Then i put some "good to use" skills on Z and basic movement keys

The rest is on hotbar. For me it seems like just easy way to use skills without doing some shitty combos.

It's good on Chaos since Summons currently double dip on auras and get 2x the stats from them. So the Sword would effectively give your Summons +100 INT and 10% magic crit from the auras.

They do eventually change it so that Auras no longer give Summons double the benefit and it becomes bad after that but that patch isn't coming to DFOG for many more months.

What about auras? Using Force of the Awakened right now (+10 ele damage, 20 STR/INT) but considering switching to Olympus (10% Crit, 45 Phys Atk, 60 Independent Atk).
My class deals mixed damage so I benefit from both the Phys Atk and Independent Atk.
I know I missed the Motion Aura but I'd just use that as a buff swap anyway.

I fucking hate not being able to test auras and titles out in the training room before deciding to buy them.
