so, I downgraded my n3DS, I installed Menuhax so I can boot with L into the Homebrew Channel, Used EmuNAND9 to make the EmuNAND partition and now I just finished using TinyFormat to unlink the NANDs. How do I install ReiNAND from this point forward? This is a really confusing process compared to installing rxtools on o3DS.

So this is an obscure problem I don't know how to deal with. Japanese N3DS, 10.5 emuNAND and NTR is running

I boot Smash + the newest update + the DLC, go to play online, it gives me what I assume is the 3DS EULA, and I can't accept it. If I press either option, Smash tells me I need to accept the agreement to play online then kicks me to the main menu.

Is it because I need to accept the EULA in a Japanese game first? Or can I just not play out of region games online or something? I'm so confused and I just want to play video games with my friends

Top newfag to hacking here, I have an old 3DS on 10.3 and want to try downgrading. My question is this, following retard's guide, when all the pastebins refer to "the SD card", I assume this means the SD card I have been using for my games? Do I have to make any alterations or delete my games off of it before I start hacking with it? Am I locked into using this SD card from then on, as well?

I want to be sure before I do anything, especially something that could brick my system, since all my games and shit are saved to the SD card.

I also assume I can play legitimate games on my 3DS still too, since I bought a few eshop things and would hate losing data.

Final question, I have an old 3DS but I am also getting a fresh New3DS as well, should I try to hack the old one or just wait for the New one?

Power down your 3DS. Hold L as it boots up. If you see a bunch of weird gibberish and static on the top screen, then menuhax launched. If it boots up to the 3DS home screen after that, then that should be emuNAND. If you haven't unlinked your NANDs, you'll want to do that. Make a sysNAND backup first (Seriously. Do it you faggot, it's how you save yourself when you fuck up). Then use TinyFormat to format sysNAND. You'll have to install menuhax again. Then when you boot into emuNAND change its theme to something obviously different than sysNAND. At this point you should also set menuhax to automatically boot your emuNAND, so you know you're always in emuNAND.

I don't think it was intentional. Version string patching is somewhat unstable from what I hear.

That said, it's not a problem if you auto-boot emuNAND. The only time I'm ever in sysNAND is if I explicitly hold a button while booting. Otherwise it always boots to emuNAND and there isn't much Nintendo can do about it.

I have a modded o3ds and a modded o3dsXL. I have Taiko notatsujin on both of them, 1 has decent progress, the other has NO progress at all. Can I continuously switch data between them? Okay this is odd, for some reason my emuNAND keeps switching back to my sysNAND whenever I go into the system settings. Been following the retard's guide up until unlinking the NANDs and everything is working perfectly up until now.

I boot into rxtools, made a folder in emunand and go into system settings to confirm I'm in emunand (it is, rx-e 9.2.0) and when I exit system settings the folder has disappeared and now the system setting is 9.2.0, it switched me back to sysnand.

I rebooted into rxtools and noticed that I can go into other software and it will keep me in emunand as long as I can hit the home button to close the software, however the system settings doesn't allow the home button be pressed and apparently that's what's causing me to go back to sysnand?

I'm assuming this isn't normal or how it's supposed to be, but the guide doesn't mention this as an error..idk? how fix?

I followed this guide up until:

I went straight from emu9 creation/backup (and I have both of those!), backed out of the menu, it rebooted to ctrbooter, I picked tinyformat, hit Y, then the system made me go through the initial setup. I'm not sure if that was on emunand or sysnand.

Hi, I had rei 9.2.0-20U working fine on emuNAND. I wanted to confirm I was on emuNAND before updating so I booted into sysNAND, verified that they were different, then powered off and attempted to restart into rei.

Whenever rei starts now, I see the splash screen then the screen goes black and the CFW doesn't load. I haven't updated anything yet.

What's wrong? I don't know what to do.

Okay, kinda new here, just a quick question.
I can just play online on emunand 10.5 without having to worry about getting banned or anything, right?

is there a way to update the emunand without using the system settings.
my 3ds doesn't recognise my better connection and the one it uses is unstable as fuck, so if I could do it manually that'd be great.
