I know i can be a sorcerer and a magic archer pretty well, but can i be a strider (or assassin?) with magic daggers?

Basically im making a sorcerer, i want to be a caster. But i want to be able to do other stuff also sometimes.

Also me and my pawn are going to use the same build, my plan is once we are 200 i can have the pawn be a strider sometimes and play a sorcerer for weapon buffs and have something kind of interesting. Primarilly im doing this to be a sorcerer though, and to have a sorcerer pawn, and train it to be good.

Is there a flaw with my plan?

Also should we be SS or S weight class?

So how do I farm bitterblack armor\weapons lvl3? I killed death like 7 times by now, and it didn't drop it.

Information about getting 0 RC and rocks

The "rock" penalty occurs when you gift too many items in too short a time. It's 20 items within a day so your 21st and all items after that are rocked for 48 hrs. You can also get the "rock" penalty when you recover a save from an outside source. This is because the time sync is different than the one on your HD. The penalty lasts 48 hrs in most cases. It has been surmised that this was done to prevent people from illicitly using this to duplicate/recover gifted items.

Is there a there a way to get around the Golem that blocks the path further into Witchwood? I guess i fucked up and missed a quest that auto failed since I went to Grandsoren first. Any exploits to get past to Golem or is my last resort Cheat Engine?

I think the Arisen killing themselves is probably symbolic of the desire to find a new Seneschal. We see Savan ripping the godsbane out of his chest as he passes the mantle on to the player. He's God, he could have just conjured it up, but instead he rips it out of his chest from the same spot you stab yourself with. This suggests he's tried, but failed to end the cycle. Perhaps they've taken the concept of god existing across all time and the Arisen's apparent suicide basically means that a new seneschal is guaranteed to be appointed some time across countless lifetimes. Kind of like signing your own retirement notice. Also, if you finish the game on NG+ Savan is replaced by your player character in the previous playthrough, meaning that even the Seneschal, despite being a godcreator, can't break the cycle and is well and truly powerless in the grand scheme of things.

Whats a good skill build for sorcerer? Im feeling that high bolide and seism are totally random and a huge time investment. I think ill keep only high maelstrom for a huge aoe and high gicel.

Also, if I get bored of sorcerer, can I switch to magick archer with no problem? I plan on playing pretty much only sorcerer/MA/MK.

What's the point of the Assassin? Am I missing something?
All the other classes have a pretty specific role and unique weapons they can wield, but not the Assassin.
Is it only so you can go sword+bow or daggers+shield? If I'm just going to use daggers+bow, should I just roll strider or ranger?

And why is bow damage so stupidly low right now? I can kill things ten times faster with my daggers, and I have the best equipment available to me right now.

I would say anywhere between 40 and 60. Gear matters more than level, but your dragon weapons can get you through pretty much the entire thing if you keep them upgraded and are gud.

Assassin is absolutely viable BUT you will need pawns that do magic damage for Living Rapists and red phantasms.

Because there is nothing outside a high gen online ur dragon where those small bonuses would actually add up.

stat growths dont fucking matter at all.

Let me tell you why.

Say you level sorc all the way up to 200 so you're getting 6 points of magick and 2 points of strength or whatever.

Say you want to play a warrior? Oh no your strength is way lower D:

Except your weapon has so much strength on it + augments that it wont matter.

On top of that if you've got an element on your weapon either imbused or enchanted, that damage it benefits from your magick stat.

So really you won't be losing any fucking damage if that's the case.

fuck this game is so EASY
I was getting myself all hyped for this being some really hard survival-based game with item scarcity, and it seemed that way at first in the beginning.. surviving off apples and small nuts, getting rekt the first time you run into those southron bandits past the boulders and their shieldguy demolishes you.. but after you gain a few levels the whole game just becomes tard-easy.
I'm still on the wyrm hunt quests before the court, just dicking around, exploring, already level 46, cyclops/ogres/chimeras/griffins/drakes no challenge at all. I look on the wiki and see "Soulflayer Canyon" and think "wow that place sounds really hard, like endgame material!" and I think maybe I can just sneak in and grab a chest, but it turns out it's just some stupid easy as shit harpy and hobgoblin dungeon, nothing even worth mentioning. Then I go into BBI, surely THAT's the hard as fuck endgame stuff, and easily kill skeleton lords, triple ogres and shit, getting a bunch of cursed BBI items to purify, etc. And then I see everyone talking about "hurr heres my level 100/200 build dur durr" and it's like who cares if you can finish the entire game by the time you're 50

Mate, there's no need to get upset. It would have been far better use of time and stamina for your pawn to use Indomitable Lunge on a knocked down opponent. Out of all the enemies you picked Evil Eye, too. Not an enemy that recovers faster, nor in a room with multiple enemies, you literally picked a single enemy in an empty room while it was staggered. That's just moving the goal-posts.

MK and MA both require strength.

Most of the major MK abilities scale off str and mag with a 40/60 split

MA dagger skills all still scale off str as well as mag.

Basically just play whatever you want you cant fuck your character up.

I'm currently playing MA and I played 36 levels of warrior and 20 levels of everything else.

I killed a lightning wyrm in the post game with my MA's bow in under a minute.

I have over 1300 in both mag and str in offense.

I couldn't get save file editing to work the last time anyway. The save file editor in the pastebin couldn't find the save text file that I edited. Another one just made the save crash the game instantly. Is there like a tutorial for PC save file editing that explains it for retards

Main inclination should be medicant, secondary should be guardian (only time its useful) or utilitarian.

I always took the suicide thing as the arisen completing his ascension to godhood, I never thought he broke the cycle. Some of the love interests mention still feeling his presence and Selene says that her master did the same for her. I might have exaggerated a bit, but the point still stands: Arc doesn't fly on Warrior pawns. It's not like Sorcerer spells where it some times auto-locks, and it isn't like Deathly Arrow/Mighty Bend where you physically get a crosshair to aim it. All you managed to do was post one, single, isolated webm of your pawn landing an Arc on a single downed Evil Eye. It doesn't exactly prove much when I'm watching Samantha charge up Arc against an entire room full of mobs and miss or cancel it or get knocked down every time.

Yesterday and this morning DD won't connect to the server for me and it just starts in offline mode. Anyone else experiencing this?

Does anyone here have a sorcerer pawn without having sorcerer played yoursel!?
I would like to know if your pawn uses Jump, Heavyattack. That pushback wave in melee range. Or if you have a sorcered pawn and played sorcerer yourself with him, does he use it, did you use it?
I'm currently testing some AI ideas of mine and would like to hear some stories from what you guys experienced.


In my case it was the following:
I was sorcerer, same as my pawn. He never did that jump,Heavyattack combo for at least 5 ranks. Then out of combat I did it a few times to see what it looks like and the very next fight, against new enemies even, he did it too. I was so fucking mind blown because that made no sense at all. There's no way that he imitated me in that sense that he saw me use it and tought to himself that's a good move I'll copy that. I suspect that it's a preprogrammed move that your pawn can unlock if he sees someone else doing it at any time. Though this is where other experiences are important, it could be that I was just not paying enough attention beforehand where he did it.
And now he won't stop using it.

Why use Arc when Indomitable Lunge exists? It's damage is just as good and can be used twice in the time it takes for a single Arc. Arc is rarely going to be useful on pawn because it isn't reliable and has pretty shitty hit-confirm on anything that isn't in the middle of its recovery state (which in BBI is usually never).

Because that's the ability that is equipped and it is trained to use Arc against a downed opponent. The enemy in question typically gets itself back up in time or the pawn cancels the charge to move away from other enemies approaching it.

After I rest at an inn it keeps saying "connection failed" after trying to access the server. I can still see and hire online pawns. And the Ur-Dragon is working but when I try to access server after resting it just tells me to fuck off.
What's going on?

Another Idea I had with HeavyAttack and Focused Bolt is that he treats those attacks as knockback attacks and once he has enough enemy knowledge that an enemy should be fought with knockback,he will do exactly those.

If you're minmaxing, you can switch between Assassin and Sorcerer to get 600 base in both by 200, which is enough to let you comfortably switch between classes. For comparison, maxing out only strength or magic gets you close to 1000 in your primary and 250 in the other.

Any stat under 400 at Level 200 means you should reroll to play that class.
