Best girl edition
NOTICE: Pawn hiring is still fucked. You don’t gain RC or gifts from others renting your pawn. They do still seem to gain knowledge. This will hopefully be fixed Monday.
>Newfags Read the Following
-- You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
-- Just experiment; a few levels in this and that won’t ruin your goddamn build, you autist.
-- STOP asking “would you rent??” without posting their inclinations/skills. Good-looking pawns with Guardian or Acquisitor still go straight to the trash.
-- Character appearance can be changed later on, with an item bought in the Encampment.
-- Don’t miss your sidequests (http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Side_Quest_Progression)

>tfw no gothic lolita clothes to make a serious young pawn mage girl
so in the wiki http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Side_Quest_Progression
as long as i don't do "come to court" i won't have to worry about any of my stage 2 side quests being canceled right?
except lost and found which I'm trying to do right now

ENB is still buggy so don't use it yet.
Speaking of, I did teh loli witch escort quest and later when I wanted to do the mercedes escort quest it wasn't on the board anymore. I know it wasn't cancelled by the witch's mission because I saw it after I had done it.
Also people don't like getting picked up? I've been doing it to
everyone I like
>tfw just maxed affinity with Selene
This is not what I wanted
I trying to hire mature looking people who are decently dressed.
I have an older women fetishand I also snagged fucking Dante.
That said, any trip into the rift sure is a journey, what with all the girls in underwear and/or are ten years old.
Loli free, and man free except for my arisen, though that's mostly because I've literally only seen like 4 male pawns.
Everyone is either
I'm glad I made a qt brown grill, at least she'll stand out a bit.
I know items and RC isn't working for people hiring your pawns but do you still get ratings?
As stupid as it is, but this >>128848376 >>128848418
Have not crashed a single time
It does tank my CPU during load screens if I have my browser open with a 1080p video on the second screen for some reason
How many gold idols were lost these past few days?
how do I look for my first two hours, by the way? I wanted to do a paladin build but there's only three classes, which is a bit odd desu, so I just went sword and board
there's no way to dual-wield anything, is there? just in case of future chars
i made jetstream sam
he is a cocky asshole with maximum speech rate who spams skullsplitter
This is legitmately one of the only pawns I've seen that doesn't fall into one of those two categories
Which one of you was it?
>actual Howard's version of Conan and not Arnold
How about an arrogant one-eyed Sorceress and her Assassin Arisen?
When the FUCK does the merchant at Devilfire Grove sell the Feral Cape? His affinity is maxed out and all I have to do now is face Grigori. He has the Direwolf one but not the regular one.
You know what else makes the game better? Removing this leveling thing, which is a bad archaic game design desicion designed to gate content by giving you power you're supposed to have back to you slowly the more you kill.
So glad there's a cheat engine for this. Makes the game so much better.
You're over over-estimating lots of people do and /ddg/ has always jerked over it
A tactics drop down menu would have been so much better, just have the tactixs unlock through ganeplay first
>transferred pirate save on hard mode so my Pawn is about level 50
>afraid to play more because she'll be too high leveled for most people to hire
Is there a level hotzone for hires? Do you still get lots of hires around level 50+ or am I fucked for now?
>how do I look for my first two hours, by the way?
You look like you've played around tow hours
> I wanted to do a paladin build but there's only three classes
You can select other classes at level 10 in Gran Soren. There is a Mystic Knight class which is basically a paladin
>there's no way to dual-wield anything, is there?
Weapons dictate how you wield them and if you have an option for a secondary weapon/ability set
Classes dictate which weapons you can use
Daggers are dual wielded (with a box as secondary), swords/maces are used with a shield etc.
>tfw no Dan pawn to complete the squad
which is better overall for assassin, daggers or sword?
kisses and gouge are obviously strong, which is stronger?
all of the dagger skills like reset, masterful kill, and gale harness are fun, but i dont often find myself using them very often. sword, on the other hand, burst strike and tusk toss alone are very useful.
which do you guys think is better for clearing regular mobs? bosses? i think i might end up going for sword...
stay mad having to walk slowly back to the bank only to spend minutes dumping your loot while I run fast 24/7 picking up everything with no worries.
Just got to Gran Soren, been playing a Strider.
Magick Archer seems cool, should I just switch right to it and be good to go? Or should I level up with Mage a bit first or something?
some behaviors are hard to 'unlearn' especially for warriors since they only have 3 skills. go warrior yourself and show them how its done. usually if they witness effective use of skills they will try to mimic it. if your retarded pawn things that using lash on a goblin is worth it instead of just jump striking it, thats what its going to do unfortunately.
warrior is also hard for pawns. arc and lash require a lot of finesse to use.
any armor pieces I should keep in mind for paladin builds? Something white and regal-looking
I actually haven't seen anything related to levelling
does it up my abilities linearly? or is there some screen I've entirely missed where I can pump stats like a crazed /fit/izen pumping roids
>try to take screenshot of pawns
>they keep walking around in circles like assholes
>always stop with their backs to the camera
>walk a little bit to get them to face the camera again
>one second later they all scatter for no fucking reason and turn around again
WHAT THE FUCK
I like this a lot and I don't even feel like I'm cheating.
Mages aren't gimped anymore.
You're fine. In fact, check the OP about hires. Second line, after "NOTICE:"
By the time that's straightened out there won't really be a "hotzone"
>My own pawn is L65
>Several people have either save transferred or rushed BBI/HardMode and are higher level
>The "top ranked" pawns are L200 save transfers from console
Might worry if you broke 100+, but even then everyone would catch up soon enough.
I bet you're on of those people that likes weapon degredation in games.
Carry limit is fine but it adjusting your run speed based on it is shit. I'd be fine if move speed was class based but you real max carry weight is whatever your limit to still be in "light" encumbrance is
Sword is pretty damn good, desu
Not only are there good attacks for fighting multiple opponents with sword, but you can also plant fucking explosives in the ground and then set off the fuse with your sword. It's a really powerful attack.
Where can I find Julien for the supply and demand side quest? I've searched all over the castle and he's not in the visitor's chamber or chillin with the Duke.
Also does anybody else think Valmiro is based as fuck? Honestly one of my favorite characters in the game and definitely the most underrated.
>Cheating this fucking hard
Holy shit anon.
>Mages aren't gimped anymore.
They never were you cheating faggot.
But seriously I'm glad you're having fun, I don't care what people do in a single player game. And those mixed class edits actually look nifty.
Ain't that something.
It's been working pretty well for me, for the most part. Use your bow a lot and your pawn will stay out of danger, and knowledge of monster weaknesses goes a LONG way towards ensuring they don't, say, spam Bolide against a fire-breaking Drake.
My suggestion though? Don't give your Sorcerer pawn buffs. Don't do it, because they'll then prioritize buffing everyone over incanting their world-ending FUCK YOU spells.
Sorcerer pawns are actually some of the easiest to train because almost all of their behaviour is actually influenced by their beastiary.
>not playing as a fuccboi with a smug bro
>not romancing best childhood friend Quina in a 2pure relationship
Next playthrough though I'll probably make a WIZARD with an obligatory lolimage apprentice/pack mule/buff slave. Then again, my KUURU BEAUTY Ranger with maximum ZR was pretty popular on console, so maybe I'll do that again.
Fuck training pawns though. This is seriously my most fun playthrough, if only because it doesn't take my pawn nearly as long to git gud anymore. So satisfying to see your main pawn pulling off perfect blocks/combo-reset-dodges.
Yeah, just look at this thread.
>Reduce stamina usage
>Instant cast spells
I don't mind if they're hell-bent on ruining the gameplay for themselves, but fucking up online components is the worst.
so I'm couple hours in and holy shit this game is based. anyway just got to gran soren and I can choose adv vocation.
pros and cons of assassin and mystic knight? yeah I know theres guides out there but Id like to hear opinions
aw yea we back boyz
is there a mod to get multiple pawns yet?
>stop being mad
It's actually HEALTHY to get mad when you're justified, otherwise you might as well be a zombie who passively accepts anything that happens as inevitable.
Stay salty while we're calling your "PC master race" out for the cancer they truly are.
Though I really like the speed/weight mechanic in DDDA, the micromanagement is honestly offputting.
If you could set an "ideal weight" and subsequent pickups went to pawns it'd be a non-issue.
Yeah. You have to use the same save decompressor tool as used for the PC save, but utilize the options to convert from a console save to PC (or vice versa if you'd like).
Check the OP, hiring is fucked. Nobody gets pawn returns at the moment.
As a person that put over 2k hours into my 360 copy and was active with this general.. I'd say this is pretty bad so far. Pawns are fucking atrocious and nothing but memes (le shrek and loli waifus xxxxDDDD).
Assassin: Versatility through access to 4 weapons, counterattacks, generally focused more on speed and damage
Mystic Knight: hybrid mage/fighter, literally a spellsword, can buff party members and self with elements, focused more on survivability and can counterattack with shield buffs
Try both. They're both great fun.
>Something white and regal-looking
You'll get armour eventually, good looking stuff not in a while though
You can get the Farewell set which is white from the old lady in the village once you've started the Newly Arisen quest
Otherwise you can get Mercedes' set from the Black Cat later on which is kinda white
There is no "leveling", stats are distributed automatically depending on which class you level as
You can learn weapon skills, core skills (weapon combos) and augments (passives) later on for Discipline Points which you earn as you level
Keep playing though and getting used to all this, there is quite a lot to the game
>but fucking up online components is the worst.
Not a cheat-fag, but literally how?
Hacked pawns will get yoinked from the rift if console was any indication. And Ur-Dragon comes with damage caps to prevent uber-hack Arisens from one-shotting it.
>If you could set an "ideal weight" and subsequent pickups went to pawns it'd be a non-issue.
1) you can give stuff to pawns to carry
2) you don't have to pick up every fucking goddamn thing you autist
Give it a couple days, all of the bandwagoning faggots will be bored with the game by then.
For now these threads will be filled with retards that just bought the game because its the hip thing this week
Im playing with old man rin
He says it is set to public? What is this, and why is it happening?
Just got the game.
Is it possible to make a well rounded character who by the end of the game can play multiple hybrid classes? Like a character built to be a viable mystic knight, but also also a viable assassin?
I just hit level 20, currently playing assassin, and I'm wondering around when and for how long I should go sorcerer to build magic stat if I want to he good with magic classes but also pure phys classes
I'm in the same about hours wise, well over 1k hours of DD on 360 and PS3. But man most Pawns I run into are crap. I don't even know if I should even bother coming back, just stay on /v/.
Your entire argument falls apart when you consider that complete strangers cheating in singleplayer video games isn't one of those things that should justifiably make you mad.
I heard something about some set with a beaked hood that looks paladinish? I just remember it from some discussion I caught on /v/ a few months back
obviously not gonna wear the hood, but apparently that was white-grayish
Yea, I'm not condemning the thread. I'm just disappointed. I'd figure I'd see a few familiar faces here, but so far it's just "gaem 2 hard let me cheat" and awful shitposting.
I'll just go do BBI and get to 200 and see how things are when I've grinded the fuck out of my strider pawn gear again.
No greens. Lightest blue for Arisen, and the gold-ish color at the very bottom row for the Main Pawn. It looked like a really nice gold in the character creator, but it does look sort of green now.
whats the ideal sword loadout for assassin?
gouge seems obvious for bosses.
burst strike seems like a must have? it closes gaps, knocks down, and does good damage.
what about a third skill? that leaves a lot left. powder blast, full moon slash, windmill slash, clarity, tusk toss, which all seem useful. i'm thinking full moon, since it hits an aoe and can give you some i-frames?
so the end loadout is gouge, burst, full moon?
>mfw casting Grand Ingle in a crowd of weakened enemies
Also my was game borked to shit and back. Grand Ingle was doing literally no damage except DoT ticks from ignition until I unequipped and re-equipped the ring and the ring on my pawn upgrading her sword skill didn't even upgrade the skill period until I did the same.
>damage on Grand Ingle fixed
>Ogres go from scary to annoying except when berserk
Also whoever said support pawn AIs are shit can get fucked. One of my rent-a-pawns has some AI setting where if I need a back pat I get a fucking back pat and let me tell you nothing says "well done" like a constant stream of grand ingle to the face while your other 2 pawns draw aggro.
>If you could set an "ideal weight" and subsequent pickups went to pawns it'd be a non-issue.
It is part of the game, though
One thins is not liking it, another is trying to simply get rid of it
That's just what you have to do, and sometimes it's part of the "adventure", in my opinion
Arranging which items you need in your inventory against which you don't and giving them to pawns to manage weight is very automatic for me now, to be honest
It's like being annoyed that you need to spam the attack button when you are clinging to an enemy
Why can you just press the button once to just order your character to continuously attack? You can interrupt it whenever you want with a jump/another attack
Just a quality of life thing, I guess
Calm your tits. I do the first and don't on the second. Was only pointing out the fact that it's the menu management that gets people bent over carry weight.
Ironically most people don't remember the name.
Meh, I signed on for more of the same and got it. It's not like I need one big happy family, just a big enough pool of players that I can find a happy niche.
Really don't mind having an active general either, sometimes it's to talk shop sometimes to shill pawns and sometimes just to shitpost. It's all good.
>Is it possible to make a well rounded character who by the end of the game can play multiple hybrid classes? Like a character built to be a viable mystic knight, but also also a viable assassin?
Yes. Four main stats in the game
>warrior = hp
>ranger = stamina
>assassin = strength
>sorcerer = magic
Others are middling. Play with all the classes, pick a few that you like and the stats will match your playstyle automagically.
Yeah I feel the same way. Thought all the old faces I remember would be coming back. But uh, this fucking blows. Guess I'll do the same, grind out postgame until satisfied then move onto BBI finally.
Another personal suggestion of mine is to give your Sorcerer either High Necromancy OR High Miasma. Necromancy's an excellent defensive spell and Miasma deals excellent damage to almost anything, even if you ignore the poison effect.
Even on Hard mode, Necromancy is still very good for crowd-control because it still easily sends enemies skyward, and as a result, away from the Sorcerer. To simplify it, Necromancy is literally a better Magick Agent with a longer cast time.
>Game crashes on a loading screen
>Now every time I open the game it crashes during the logo scrawl
Anybody else had this? How do I fix it if so?
You can't be this dense. That's like calling spore multiplayer because of the creature creator sharing shit. Even Steam agrees that this isn't multiplayer.
>One thins is not liking it, another is trying to simply get rid of it
Agreed. Wasn't justifying the cheat, even though it's their single player game so they can do whatever makes them happy, but simply discussing WHY it's ticks people off.
IMO party of the joy of games is their context, once you start editing that for yourself it all begins to fall apart unless you approach it from a genuine design perspective rather than as a matter of convenience.
>MFW Helm/Skull Splitter
This move shouldn't even be legal. I soloed the Griffon in about 3 seconds after it landed. I killed the Drake in about 5 seconds.
It took me 7 fivefold flurries at point blank range to break one metal golem medallion thing. Skull Splitter destroys them in 1 hit.
What the fuck is up with this move? Nothing else in the game even compared to it. This is my 4th play through, I thought Strider was fun to play and suppose to climb on shit, but with Leaping Stone into Skull Splitter everything just dies.
Strider is probably by far the most broken class in the game. And on my other save file I can take my Magick Archer and kill Ur-Daimon in about 5 seconds. I bet Strider with Brain Splitter can half that time. This is crazy.
wait, Griffith set?
like, Berserk Griffith?
I'll never understood why you faggots get bothered by lolis anyway.
I'm playing as a hobbit woman though with Silverfang as my pawn.
shoutout to Foam
Full Moon Slash is core on any class that can use it. It allows you to break out of hit stun (no getting comboed to death) and makes you invincible for fucking ever. Best move for swords.
Because combat and attacking is actually fun, scrolling through menus for inventory management is not.
Devs are fucking stupid a lot of times when it comes to monotonous shit like this. Mods help fix shit like that. Look at every kekthesda game for some examples of mods improving dumb game mechanics.
>Any pawn will do this
Let me rephrase, this pawn will run the fuck away from the enemy it was attacking and give me a back pat as long as I'm in sight.
Other pawns don't give a shit unless I'm on the way to an enemy/not in combat. This pawn will drop everything to give me a back pat. EVERY. GOD. DAMN. TIME.
I've been here since around the time this general began, but I was always mostly a lurker, and most of you guys wouldn't recognize my characters I bet since I barely posted them.
Anyway, don't get too down. This always happens with generals that get a huge influx of new people; just general retardedness and shitposting all over the place. It will fade and fade, until we're back to slow threads again. Or, at least, slow(er) threads.
Cheating was always an issue on the consoles though, just less so. It was extremely easy to inventory edit your save files, and I remember some of the most highly rated pawns were very obviously cheated, with stats that were just too high for their level (I remember some of the most highly rated pawns were ones that were level 10 or something, and were decked out in full end-game gear with level 3 dragonforged) and way too good items.
How anal do you guys get with this game? I make all my pawns wear the same get-up (unless they are magic users) so we look like a band of warriors. I also plan on having several diffrent get-ups as the story progresses.
<<Also me and my pawn <<
go to bbi and run fukken fast
basically, assuming you know bbi:
>go from garden of ignominy to duskmoon tower
>duskmoon tower to ward of regret
>ward of regret to midnight helix
>preserve as many pawns as you can getting there, you literally need to just sprint, spam stamina consumables, and spam 'COME' to your pawns
>climb all the way to the top of the midnight helix in the same fashion to get the void key
>LIFTSTONE THE FUCK OUTTA THERE
>use the void key in duskmoon tower to open the vault of defiled truth
>run from the vault to the gutter of misery
>go from the gutter to warriors respite (right around the corner)
>get the moonbeam gem from warriors respite
>go back to duskmoon tower and look on the wiki to make sure you open the correct door and you've got the ring
if you cant figure it out using the maps on the wiki and that description, the first time i did it i followed along with a youtube video thats out there somewhere.
its a pain in the ass but i think its worth it.
Yeah, you're right.
I've frozen my pawn health at 1 so they can't be knocked out, it's a pain in the ass to revive them anyway so it's fine.
I mean, I've also done it on myself so I don't have to retry every time I die. I don't see why dying or retrying is even in games these days because lmao I'm just going to be at the fight 'till I win anyway like what's the point.
It was definitely a thing, but I expect stat-hacking. It's not really an issue. I'm just seeing people whine about "oh my god, I have things in my inventory and they're not WEIGHTLESS!?!? my spells have to be CASTED!?!?!"
This is shit I'll only ever see on PC, honestly, and it saddens me. Luckily I'm having a fucking blast blazing through the game because I remember how to do everything from a bajillion playthroughs.
brain splitter pawns that are trained properly can pretty much solo bbi. its hilarious. they usually cant exploit leaping stone well unfortunately, but you can adjust that by using kisses on them instead, so half the time they will be using brain splitter, the other half they will be using kisses.
its really fukken strong
>tfw when played originally started pawn off as a mage with anodyne and got tons of RC
>want to start pawn as a fighter on PC version and play as a mage myself
>dunno if it's worth the drop in rift crystals until I can get her the fighter's support skills
>unironically using butthurt
This general is in shambles...
>N-navigating menus is a core game mechanic guys
I don't even cheat but you can't be so dense as to think shit like carryweight makes games more fun.
I actually wouldn't give a shit about people just god-moding the game. Who gives a fuck if it makes it more fun for that person?
i do it whenever i feel like i want to start switching off a vocation, or i want to get a certain augment and then switch.
with the character that i have been playing since release i did it at 10 or so. if you want to do it early, everything is going to either one or two shot you anyways, so you just need to do the run through correctly and spam stamina items.
Strider is very strong, but it took people forever to finally realize it. I remember seeing a Strider pawn do Brainsplitter on a Drakes heart for the first time and the disgusting amount of damage it did. Rusted Bow + Cloudburst Volley is also a nifty combination, everything gets Torpored. Striders are great, but people still sleep on them for some reason.
>W-we're not cheating guys, we swear! I'm only giving my character unlimited health haha and no weight limit!
>But that's cheating still
>U-uh, w-well it's just a single player game! Why do you care!? God mode makes the game more fun for me!!
PC mustard race lmao
JUST A REMINDER TO ALL CHEATERS
It is possible to hire a pawn, and then dismiss them. When you dismiss them, you give them a hacked item. This item will cause the owner of the pawns game to crash when they get their rewards back. This will happen EVERY SINGLE TIME they try to load a game. Once this happens, you've basically lost your save file.
We're lucky now because we cannot receive gifts from pawns people have hired. But once this gets fixed, prepare for anal devastation everywhere as people all over the place end up losing save files.
On the upside, you can fuck over anyone whose cheated with their pawns.
I just read the pawn training guide in the OP
I was gonna make my main pawn a mage, but from the way it sounds, since I have no plan to be a mage myself it won't learn and I shouldn't do that.
Should I make it a strider like myself or if I hire a second mage will mine learn well enough from it?
Correct me if I'm wrong but could hiring a pawn who'd been modded/cheat-engine'd potentially crash or break someone who does not have the mod's game?
Unless the cheaters are going to offer up their names, how can you tell?
Even if they don't jack up their stats, or they jack them back down before uploading them, the change in the behaviors from their owner using fake stats would make them useless.
>This is shit I'll only ever see on PC
You're full of shit, people always complained about stamina drain while running and inventory weight restrictions. They were modded away on consoles too.
I literally just cleared the mines.
I spammed Grand Ingle at 233 magic.
Fire is your friend. If you can land all 5 shots to the face you'll generally knock off about 8-10% of its health
what pawns should i grab if my main is a strider and i am an assassin? i feel like i am going to end up really magic-weak and then get boned in certain areas. i kind of need to get a mage for heals and a fighter to pull aggro on big shit, would swapping out the fighter for a sorc work? between myself and my main strider pawn we try to manage? maybe hire a sorc instead of a mage and just use consumables to heal?
these breds go quick
>people always complained about stamina drain while running and inventory weight restrictions
No they didn't. They just carried herbs/shrooms and forced fed themselves when stamina ran low. It's so pitifully easy to make stamina non-existent in this game that it's definitely people new to the game modding it.
Should I be worried?
I only just finished killing my first non-tutorial Chimera and an armoured ogre, haven't even been back to town yet.
>dont really want to level too much so newbies dont get some random jobber pawn that still has default gear and instead get my overgeared sorc that isnt a silk lingerie wearing loli
>just realized no one is getting any riftshekels anyway
Yeah man it's so fun going into the menu every 10 seconds to refill stamina. Fuck off, I don't blame people for modding the stamina regen it's too fucking slow only people with legitimate autism think it's a good thing.
>people complaining about sprinting using stamina, health limits, inventory weight, character height and weight
>literally complaining about interesting design choices that give you more options when creating your character
>people also bitch when games get 'skyrimmed' and have their complexity stripped out of them
trust me, its better with these things. you might think theyre annoying, but they give you more control over your character, and limit you so that your character usually doesnt become ridiculously overpowered.
the difficulty balancing in this game is actually quite good.
>Yeah man it's so fun going into the menu every 10 seconds to refill stamina
You literally do not even have to go into the menu. You can bind hotkeys to items.
Lurk more, newfag
if i want to play with the controller, would it be viable to bind consumables onto my keyboard since you can switch on the fly?
it doesnt look like you can rebind the controller buttons for consumables at all?
every once in a while i'll open up the combining menu to see if i can make anything, find out i somehow still can barely anything good or interesting despite 20 hours of picking shit up and say fuck it and close it, i'll just buy shit instead of figuring out the fucking retarded crafting trees to upgrade my greenwarish
You aren't helping matters with facetious arguments. I also posted this:
I'm just an old fag from console, DDDA is a flawed gem. Turns out flawed gems have flaws, no need to pretend they don't exist or fabricate them.
>reusing shitty new OP
Next thread please switch back to:
>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.
Don’t miss your sidequests: http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Side_Quest_Progression
Make sure you understand the romance system before you get too far: (http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Beloved)
Anyone else plagued by letterboxing? Not sure why I have it, my resolution is 1280x1024, which fits into the DD requirements. Its making gameplay a bit aggravating as everything is shrunken down and compressed to fit.
Then you better find a way to make sure pawns with stats attainable through legitimate in-game play aren't actually cheated in anon. Report back to us once you figure that one out okay?
>make my arisen exactly the same as my pawn for screenshots
>salvation-nigger has two of his followers impaled on his sword
>character makes this face in response
god bless cutscenes
>sprint to my destination
>run out of stamina
>spam roll while stamina regens
Should've started on hard for a semblance of a challenge, don't listen to the shitposters that repeat
>Durr u level up so it gets easy mode
to protect their own emasculated ego from not going hard mode themselves.
Watch and enjoy them squirm about with their lack of Discipline points and gold.
I have it too and don't know how to get rid of it
No he's right. There are bugged items you probably could send pawns with. If you equip them you would crash. And you can edit items.
Well it's over friends.
Tried validating and it doesn't work.
Tried deleting config and it doesn't work.
I cannot play the game anymore. Feels bad.
>being this greedy
>wanting your character to be able to have the fastest move speed, carry as much as you want, and have no restrictions
you dont need to pick up every fucking rotten pumpkin, small nut, and sunbright you find.
the inventory weight across your whole party should be more than enough in even the most extreme circumstances (looking at you water god altar)
its just a matter of balancing your character
That's not obviously hacked. The system will only prevent pawns with things like high stats, equipped items they shouldn't be able to use, or access to skills they shouldn't be able to use.
It's not smart enough to detect everything, but it'll stop all of the obvious bullshit.
I like this one better, it's more helpful since it mentions bad pawn inclinations to have and also encourages people to experiment and change classes which I think a lot of people are afraid to do. But could be better written.
beating all the content will put you at like 80-120 depending on how much trouble you had with BBI2.0
at that point there are many classes that can grind to 200 in like a couple hours through various methods
honestly the best way to do it is to just not worry about it and run a train on urdaimon and you will get it before long. if you're going to 200 i assume you want his gear drops anyway
>sell monocle from the dlc for 300k instantly at the start of the game
>manage your money reasonably and only buy gear when you absolutely need it
>never have trouble with money for the entire game, ability to spend as much as you want on consumables
>If you try to do it "legitimately", hundreds of hours at the very least unless you do some crazy powerleveling.
just killing death with a strong class like ranger will get you 200 in a few hours
I uh... didn't say that. I don't give a fuck what people do in their single player game.
You'd have to equip them to the pawn first and crash your own game, can't send equipment normally have to put It on the pawn first. And then on pawn return the player gets a prompt that basically asks "do you want this new junk?" and they can say "no".
It's a non-issue.
>every other game aside from souls
>pick up single item
>can barely fucking move at all
but yeah, i agree that inventory limits don't really belong in action oriented games like DD, DS, and FO4.
Instead the armor and weapons you've got equipped should be what slows you down.
I have no fucking idea what I need and don't need though.
>eh I don't need those herbs
>Hey fucker, bring me 30 of those herbs you weren't collecting and I'll give you a shitpile of money!
Alternatively, play hard mode. Have several million gold by the time you first enter Gran Soren.
Hard mode is essentially "everything kills you in 1-3 hits, but in exchange you never need to grind". I'm level 55ish right now, but those bandits on the way to Witchwood can still fuck me up if I get hit by them.
It'll be like that the entire game. If you get hit, you die. But you hardly ever get hit anyway.
If I ever manage to get them lined up, I immediately talk to all of them to make them face the right way. Usually stops them in their tracks long enough for a shot.
My gf is having trouble with spell targeting. Grand ingle keeps switching targets while firing, and the targeting is too slidey and doesnt lock on properly
This. Most fights I can just stand there and my pawns will kill everything and heal me.
I tried to put it on hard mode but then everything was just one shotting me. Like it doesnt even change the A.I it just inflates the fuck out of their damage.
They move depending on where your camera is.
That's ignorant of them. First time I've seen a game do that for 4:3.
Everybody in the game is "romanceable", even the random NPCs on the street, you just need to spam them gifts to raise their affinity. There isn't really actually a "romance" system in the game, it's just a really small thing that happens in the questline later.
So I guess we're posting ramen, but what are you guys eating while playing specifically this game?
I'd eat a whole turkey leg, but I don't have any.
Dude I just realized how important some of these augments are.
I don't really care too much about playing some of the vocations, but holy shit some of the augments are incredibly useful and totally worth raising vocation ranks for these alone.
I'm just trying to do the last part of the quest where you tell him his family has agreed, but his bitch ass is no where to be found. Guess I'll just wait at the fountain
>Hit mushroom hotkey during animation
>Warning: Skipping this quest causes several quest lines to be unavailable and the east side of the Witchwood will remain permanently sealed off, which is the only area where King Bay Leaf grows.
Fuck I thought you only failed this shit after seeing the duke. RIP waifu.
once you get to post game, its really easy to get all of the augments that you want.
usually, my play order is
>main game, play some reasonable classes for my finalized build pre-100 (not really necessary)
>after hitting post game, immediately afk farm all augments that i want
>hit up offline ur dragon a few times for LOADSAMONEY and levels
>hit around 75ish off ur dragon then head to bbi
this puts you on a pretty good path for smooth sailing through most content.
>picked fighter/strider for my first playthrough on console for main/pawn
>decide to swap vocations for PC
>shooting stuff as strider
>fighter pawn is standing near me
>specced her as a tank
You can use consumables any time. ANY. TIME.
And if you bind stamina consumables to a hotkey (like mushrooms) you can spend you entire stamina bar then hit the hotkey mid-animation and you never go into a winded state.
It's better than Vim.
the mushroom key on your keyboard.
the one that looks like a little mushroom
Am I supposed to be getting my weapons from merchants? I havent found any weapons in chests or anywhere else. Also should I be upgrading them? Cause I come across a new merchant with better weapons pretty often so upgrading them seems pointless.
>get hit off ledge
>have a tiny bit of health left
>this fall is probably going to kill me
>spam healing item hotkey like 10 times
>Buy Utilitarian potion for my sorcerer pawn
>it learns Medicant as its secondary inclination all by itself
>Only option is between Medicant and Acquisitor
HOW DO I STOP THIS
20 minutes of arrow spam from a ledge later. Fucker killed every one of my pawns.
Why exactly did I get a fucking dress? Why is it better than any armour I had/that's available for sale? Now I've gotta walk around in a dress and a two hander.
What are the best augments/vocations for an adventuring/exploration character?
I want to have my character end up as a powerful archer (dont know if that means Ill end up assassin, magick archer or ranger) , but I also want to be able to travel through well lit dungeons for long ass journeys away from Gran Soren with a fat inventory and good speed.
I remember there being better lantern light augments and better carrying capacity, etc. Are there other more "exploration" focused abilities?
stop using the command pad for your pawns. period. it fucks them up if you dont know what youre doing.
buy a potion to wipe your pawn, buy two of what you want for a primary, and one of what you want for a secondary. feed em up.
Speaking of cheats ruining games.
-added Instant Skill Charge
-- condition check added to ensure it works on protagonist only.
-- tested on staff/sword spells, shield spells, melee skills, and bow skills.
-- please report if you found some skills/spells not covered.
-added Ranks Ignore when Learning Skills
-- allows you to learn a skills, be it weapon skills, core skills or augments, regardless of the current rank.
-added Vocation Ignore when Learning Skills
-- allows you to learn a skills, be it weapon skills, core skills or augments, regardless of the current vocation.
-- note that the primary and secondary skills are still bond by weapon types the current vocation can use. that means you can't learn any Dagger skills when using Warrior, can't learn any Bow skills when using Sorcerer, etc.
-added a fly speed for Fly script
-- change it to a bigger number to move faster, useful when you want to travel to a faraway place without using Ferrystone.
-- beware if you decided to fly a long way above the ocean, you may lost your pawns. it's because the game would teleport the pawns (and the person you're escorting actually) to you if they are too far away from you, and if you're above the ocean when that happens, they'll fall into it. so if you want to "fast travel" with this script, stay away from the ocean.
the most important one of these is Sinew, which you get about halfway through the fighter vocation. it increases your carry weight by 20kg
strider has a max-rank 9 augment that decreases your weight class by 1. strider also has a skill that enables extra-fast running. ranger has the lantern augment. mystic archer has a skill that fires an arrow that functions as a light source
Yeah, didn't fix it.
That'll take forever on my shit internet and I'll lose my save.
>It's in the OP
I'm not reading that shit. Every pastebin in the OP of every general on /vg/ is just a giant autistic blog post that could be summarized in a few sentences but is dragged out by some mouth breathing "intellectual"
I'll look somewhere else.
just make your character a giant, fatass archer. max out all weight and height sliders and he will be able to carry a lot. he will be a giant mongoloid who doesnt move and shoots arrows at shit.
yes there are augments for stuff like your lantern in bbi, but they are absolutely useless. your latern needs to be refilled about once every 500 hours.
I jump a lot in combat because I play an assassin and it's fun to double jump. Now I see my pawn jumping a lot. Did my pawn really pick up that behavior from me?
I just summarised it for you
Use the same abilities as your pawn
That's the general gist of it. If you want to know everything about it, there really isn't a better source than the stuff in the OP
>trying to guide Quina through the woods
>She starts "ugh"ing
>notice she isn't anywhere near the party anymore
>run back as fast as I can to find her
>reload from last checkpoint
>it was 5 hours ago
It's DLC bullshit. Keep it if you want, otherwise get rid of it. Unless you actually want to wear the monocle, just sell it. It's pretty much there to jumpstart your funds if you're not playing hard mode.
Can you train them to use springboard? I've been trying to teach my pawn how to do that one for awhile, but she never wants to use it on me so I can get some height on a giant or something.
>reload from last checkpoint
>it was 5 hours ago
How the fuck do you spend 5 hours in fucking Witchwood?
Is there a way to skip the opening scrawl of logos?
No, I don't mean make them go faster. Skip them entirely. They're crashing my game and I can't play.
You can hop into the mage class for a few levels to teach them a thing or to, but with mage it's not that serious that you need to train then just give them the right inclination they should be fine
I finished the quest and came back later to see Selene and have me brew some shit for a quest, yet she isn't in her house.
Did I fuck up somewhere? Or should I have come in the night?
this game would look so much better if they didn't try to do big open world areas
in the original DA you got some special cosplay armor if you imported a save from the original DD
since there's no way to import a save on PC it just gives it to every save
all that armor is worn by major characters in game
But imagine the comedic relief.
Alright then. What skills would you personally give your fighter pawn? I've got blink strike, skyward slash or whatever, and that crowd control one currently.
Other then shield summons I really don't know what to give her for the shield stuff.
Warrior. This feels like a repeat of MonHun where I died to Ku klux bird or some nip shit like 6 times although I actually liked that game and Dark Souls I couldn't beat the flying fat dragon thing at the start. I didn't like that piece of shit game though.
If you yourself use it often enough, yes. But they will generally be weird about it, they won't use it until the target is stationary
If it's a flyer, they will only use it if they're directly under the creature and if it's just hover above
I would advise against it since if people rent your pawn then can get "sucked in" into the jump due to not know what your pawn is doing, which can be irritating
Checkpoints are created on Inn and Riftstone use. Nothing else. Autosaves are created on zone transition. If he'd just killed himself he would have gone back like 20 minutes tops.
Dragon's Maw is a must-have for Fighter pawns. For Shield skills, Cymbal Assault is good. Shield Summons is shit because of how aggro works in this game. Sheltered Fusillade is also good because blocking+attack = good. Third skill is whatever you want that isn't Shield Summons.
Warrior's a pretty tough class. Lot of fun when you learn all they can do though. smack the shit out of his legs until he falls over then whack him in the eye. I suggest using jump attacks, they're much faster than the regular attacks
