You can select other classes at level 10 in Gran Soren. There is a Mystic Knight class which is basically a paladin

Weapons dictate how you wield them and if you have an option for a secondary weapon/ability set
Classes dictate which weapons you can use
Daggers are dual wielded (with a box as secondary), swords/maces are used with a shield etc.

all of the dagger skills like reset, masterful kill, and gale harness are fun, but i dont often find myself using them very often. sword, on the other hand, burst strike and tusk toss alone are very useful.

some behaviors are hard to 'unlearn' especially for warriors since they only have 3 skills. go warrior yourself and show them how its done. usually if they witness effective use of skills they will try to mimic it. if your retarded pawn things that using lash on a goblin is worth it instead of just jump striking it, thats what its going to do unfortunately.

warrior is also hard for pawns. arc and lash require a lot of finesse to use.

Not only are there good attacks for fighting multiple opponents with sword, but you can also plant fucking explosives in the ground and then set off the fuse with your sword. It's a really powerful attack.

It's been working pretty well for me, for the most part. Use your bow a lot and your pawn will stay out of danger, and knowledge of monster weaknesses goes a LONG way towards ensuring they don't, say, spam Bolide against a fire-breaking Drake.
My suggestion though? Don't give your Sorcerer pawn buffs. Don't do it, because they'll then prioritize buffing everyone over incanting their world-ending FUCK YOU spells.
Sorcerer pawns are actually some of the easiest to train because almost all of their behaviour is actually influenced by their beastiary.

Assassin: Versatility through access to 4 weapons, counterattacks, generally focused more on speed and damage

Mystic Knight: hybrid mage/fighter, literally a spellsword, can buff party members and self with elements, focused more on survivability and can counterattack with shield buffs

Is it possible to make a well rounded character who by the end of the game can play multiple hybrid classes? Like a character built to be a viable mystic knight, but also also a viable assassin?

Another personal suggestion of mine is to give your Sorcerer either High Necromancy OR High Miasma. Necromancy's an excellent defensive spell and Miasma deals excellent damage to almost anything, even if you ignore the poison effect.
Even on Hard mode, Necromancy is still very good for crowd-control because it still easily sends enemies skyward, and as a result, away from the Sorcerer. To simplify it, Necromancy is literally a better Magick Agent with a longer cast time.

This move shouldn't even be legal. I soloed the Griffon in about 3 seconds after it landed. I killed the Drake in about 5 seconds.

It took me 7 fivefold flurries at point blank range to break one metal golem medallion thing. Skull Splitter destroys them in 1 hit.

What the fuck is up with this move? Nothing else in the game even compared to it. This is my 4th play through, I thought Strider was fun to play and suppose to climb on shit, but with Leaping Stone into Skull Splitter everything just dies.

Strider is probably by far the most broken class in the game. And on my other save file I can take my Magick Archer and kill Ur-Daimon in about 5 seconds. I bet Strider with Brain Splitter can half that time. This is crazy.

Anyway, don't get too down. This always happens with generals that get a huge influx of new people; just general retardedness and shitposting all over the place. It will fade and fade, until we're back to slow threads again. Or, at least, slow(er) threads.

Cheating was always an issue on the consoles though, just less so. It was extremely easy to inventory edit your save files, and I remember some of the most highly rated pawns were very obviously cheated, with stats that were just too high for their level (I remember some of the most highly rated pawns were ones that were level 10 or something, and were decked out in full end-game gear with level 3 dragonforged) and way too good items.

I remember seeing a Strider pawn do Brainsplitter on a Drakes heart for the first time and the disgusting amount of damage it did. JUST A REMINDER TO ALL CHEATERS

It is possible to hire a pawn, and then dismiss them. When you dismiss them, you give them a hacked item. This item will cause the owner of the pawns game to crash when they get their rewards back. This will happen EVERY SINGLE TIME they try to load a game. Once this happens, you've basically lost your save file.

We're lucky now because we cannot receive gifts from pawns people have hired. But once this gets fixed, prepare for anal devastation everywhere as people all over the place end up losing save files.

On the upside, you can fuck over anyone whose cheated with their pawns.

Anyone else plagued by letterboxing? Not sure why I have it, my resolution is 1280x1024, which fits into the DD requirements. Its making gameplay a bit aggravating as everything is shrunken down and compressed to fit.

No he's right. There are bugged items you probably could send pawns with. If you equip them you would crash. And you can edit items.

the inventory weight across your whole party should be more than enough in even the most extreme circumstances (looking at you water god altar)
