There's just no other main character, is the short of it.

The onceler and the lorax are the only main characters, and since none of the teens on tumblr wanted to ship them together (well, some of them did), they decided to ship him with himself.

It started out "relatively" normal, with the original 'innocent' onceler and then the greedy shitbag he ends up being, but since they already started that, why not just make a thousand different ones? and then ship them with each other? and then have babies made out of specific AUs?

Given a lot of monsters communicate through magic, I would assume they can always do their attacks whenever they want. It's more a matter of effort and endurance if sans is any indication, using the stuff he uses tires him out quickly, and you see the same with Papyrus at the end of his battle, and against Undyne when she stops turning you green all the time.

Assuming they got to Charas soul right away then the barrier would have been broken peacefully after the sixth kid died from old age and Asriel (as the king by that point) would probaly have done a pretty good job at being an ambassador and ushering in peace with the humans.
