Hey /nintyg/ kind of freaking out here, I sold my old WiiU with Mario 3D World & Nintendo Land on it, and now the buyer is contacting me (3 weeks after receiving it) and complaining that the games weren't on the console. How could this be? Is he just bullshitting me or what? I did factory reset it before sending but that shouldn't have wiped out the preinstalled games right? I even checked after factory resetting it once to make sure they were still there, so I don't know what the hell is going on...

I did call Nintendo to transfer the NNID from that system to a different one, but that wouldn't transfer preinstalled games would it? I thought this only affected games I bought with my NNID. (I didn't do a system transfer from it at all, just a NNID transfer over the phone.)

So Steel Diver Sub Wars online is dead in the water?

Once you transfer games to your new ID, the old Id doesn't have the game anymore. Hell, I heard Nintendo even deletes the older ID but maybe that was just a rumor.
Anyway, that guy is right. The games aren't in his Wii U but in yours. And they can be accessed only by your new NNID, like it happens with Steam, you know.

Nah, they are still tied to your account once you make the transfer. Misunderstanding like this happen because people still believe the games are totally tied to the console (which is true until you make a tranfer though).
Honestly, I don't know if Nintendo will or can do the transfer back. Try to call them and explain your situation. Otherwise, you can simply buy a cheap physical copy of the game and send it to the guy.

Guys I need some help getting wifi to work.
Due to nintendo being ridiculously retarded in the modern realm of public wifi; I'm stuck at a Uni that utilises WPA2-Enterprise encryption which the 3DS can't handle since it requires more than just a password.
I'm trying to use a virtual router; which my phone has already connected to without fail; but the 3DS just seems to be unable to detect it; even when entered manually.

Yeah. After a decent play session of smash bros, I put the disc in one last time for the hell of it, and it seems like xenoblade crashes with the usual error at any point in the game. That's a bit tricky. The stuff the SK amiibo unlocks is customizations for your character. But it's not a "you scan once and you unlock the stuff" case like in Mario Kart 8. It's more similar to Smash 4, you have to scan the amiibo each time to unlock the customization menu.
Basically, you should go to the store and scan the amiibo every time you play.

Played the game a couple of weeks ago.
Loved it, had more fun than I had with ALTTP, but it was, by a long shot, the easiest zelda game.
Avoiding damage is a peese of cake, and the enemies deal lower damage in comparison to previous installments. Carry a blue potion and that's it, you're never dying, not even if you fuck up monumentally.
I'll play hero mode eventually, just not right now. 4x the damage should be very neat, avoiding it should still be easy but once you do get hit it's punishing as hell. I haven't decided whether I'll get the armor upgrades though (red tunic = 1/4 of 4x damage = normal mode with green tunic)

For the open world part Xenoblade's got you covered. It's fucking huge and seamless. The story is kind of short, it has like 15 chapters I think. But there's a lot of side quests to complete and characters to meet if you like to do that sort of thing. I still haven't finished the game because I'm just running around or flying in my skell. I definitely recommend getting the game.
