Couple things I need help with

1) How the fuck do I properly use this afterburner skill? It says boosts damage when in ranged combos, sometimes I hit for 500ish damage each and other times I hit for 2500 each shot. I can't figure it out pls help (level 7 astral crusader, level 26 overall)

2) Just hit level 7 Astral Crusader, starting to get a little bored of sniping everything. I'm level 6 blast fencer so I might just master that and galactic knight afterwards but hows samurai gunner/bastion warrior?

What attribute resist should I stack to tank those asspull moves?
I know for the rule of thumb telethia's main attack is ether and pharsis is gravity but I'm pretty sure I saw some other icon attribute while fighting them.

It's crazy those alluded me for so long.
There had been an intergalactic ME M-missile in my inventory for a while from somewhere, but I didn't write down what dropped it at the time.

Make a Zenith Cannon and put it on the Mastema
Equip stuff in your other gear slots that has SpecUp Range Attack, Boost Range Attack, or AttributeUp.PHYS.

Although I don't think any of those can be found on Spare Weapons, so get Spare Weapons with 2 of the same position damage augs instead.

In normal quests (a.k.a. ones that are given by people) some make you choose a dialogue option before receiving the quest, resulting in affinity. Now what you can do is just answer the option netting he affinity you want, decline the quest, and repeat. I had nagi to 1 to 5 hearts in about half an hour.

It's actually the opposite. The more treasure sensor you have, the less chance of getting a holofig.

I haven't done the math, but I think that beam damage is super inconsequential on anything that already has mastema armor and all those beam bonuses, and that ranged specup or ranged boost is better

Guys I'm about 45 hours in and worried I might be losing interest. I just finished chapter 6 and got my Skell, but it's not the exploration which is the problem but the combat. I'm about rank 9 on Bastion Trooper, I had the thought to master it so I could use it on other classes but I'm getting mighty bored of the fight system.
Are any of the other classes more exciting to play as? I tried the one with the psy-corrupters and lightsaber and it might just be the lack of arts but if anything that's even worse. The 2nd-level enforcer is a bit more interesting but the raygun fires so slowly.

I don't know if I should drop the game for a while and see if I feel the need to go back to it.

Nah. The style of world that Witcher is doesn't really interest me. Part of the draw of XCX was the cool sci-fi mecha anime world, plus the novelty of the huge open world. I got all I really wanted of that old world fantasy out of Dragon's Dogma.

It's just that now in X I find myself more often than not trying to avoid fights. Running away from enemies so I don't have to enter combat.

I wish it felt better to shoot and stab things in the game.

You will want to knock down at least 20 health bars on Yggs maybe more for the 18 - 20 scales, but that is random. With Plume taking down 80 health bars nets you 50 of his mats, but killing him more like up to 160 times or more can possibly net you 96 mats.
