True excellence in speedrunning lies not in reclaiming the WR again and again, but in making your enemies quit the game.
Remember this lesson in all your speedrunning activity and you will not only take WRs but keep them. A master of this technique will create an aura around him that can kill a game's community by simply announcing that he will join it.
Show everyone that you are playing to win and that fun is of no concern to you. Don't encourage competition. Mock the people you beat. Keep prerecorded runs incase your WR gets beaten and shove it into their face how they're not as good as you and how you didn't even think the video worth uploading. Bend the rules to their extreme limits and cry oppression when a run gets rejected. Constantly start and engange in discussions on rules and categories and who should be mod.
In general: Be someone people will want to stay away from and at the same time establish a presence in the community that makes it impossible for them to do so.

Only srg and its avidity to "expose" a far more talented and *yikes* female runner that has stayed out of drama, and that clown Goose who keeps trying to stir shit in a community that he barely even belongs to anymore, have been trying to push the narrative about krystal being some cheating, deceiving man who, for some reason, lies about "his" gender. But now that the evidence you were so eagerly demanding is here and it proves that the picture of the person you were claiming was Krystal is, in fact, not her, maybe, after all these months of incessant and pointless bugging, srg will swallow its pride and admit that they were wrong entirely and that they can't go around "crusading" about anything they don't like if they don't have any evidence or solid grounds on which to stand.
