No. People cry about Tyrande far too much. That doesn't mean you should pick willy-nilly either, though. When granted first pick, take a hero that's in a really good spot right now and works with a lot of comps. Y'know, like Uther, Johanna, KT, etc. (Also, actual ETC.) Tyrande is one of types of heroes right now for sure, but it's better to pick a hero you can play than whichever one happens to have the biggest booty.

Sure some characters are better than others, but that's why you have a team and draft. This stun meta is annoying sure, but there is cleanse, there is proper positioning, you can adapt your game to it.

I just had a mirror match in QM. Nova, Murky, Greymane, Valla. The only difference was they had Nazeebo and we had Hammer.

Each assassin has different play styles obviously. Don't let anyone tell you that you should always target <x> first because valla's playstyle is to sit in the back targeting the closest hero to apply pressure on the whole group. People who say that squishy assassins should move out of place just to target <X> in the back don't know what they're talking about.

It depends on the team comp too. Some comps rely on the whole group blowing all of their ults at the same time in order to get anything done rather than just being decent doing regular rotations. Learn your hero, learn your comp.

If the warrior has to retreat then the whole group does too. If Muradin enters the battle by stunning a DPS then the group needs to show him that it was a mistake, not just let him rek up the place while you try to get position on someone bouncing around in the back.

One key exception is against morales. Morales can really crank out the heals as long as her mama holds up so zoning her away from her team should be a big priority. Other than that, targeting a warrior should be just fine as long as people aren't blowing all of their cooldowns on them.

You should. I don't play quick match any more unless I'm with 2 other friends. QM is such a dice roll that I personally don't believe it's a good measurement on skill or strategy. In HL most people make an attempt to design a good team and shy of that you can at least predict how battles will play out.

Valla is a beast with her auto attack build so use that to your advantage. When left alone she'll quickly and silently output some serious hurt and if you're getting focused before that can happen then alert your team to try to provide some cover.
But again, it could boil down to just an ulti spam so don't be afraid to hold onto ults until the time is right.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't necessarily play top tier heroes but I certainly don't mind only playing with heroes that I'm good at.
I just recently started reking up HL with stitches because I hadn't played him since he was top tier (around a year ago). I'm always beast with valla or raynor as backup, if the comp is good I can morales and if not then lili is an easy pick (I can do Uther well too but I do get tired of having 99 buttons in my utility belt instead of just applying straight heals).

I think people put too much credit towards heroes deemed top tier. Sure they're good and the game mechanics agree, but I manage to do well with heroes not given much credit because I know how to play them well which is a lot better for the team than playing top tier heroes I'm not great at.

Like Raynor for example; I do fine with him but I'm not excited about his play style, I find I'm much better suited towards Valla. The point is, replaying heroes I like is fun and also accumulates wins so there's a happy medium to be found.

Well again, I don't QM at all because I hate it and it's always a dice roll, but when I do, I choose people I enjoy playing ( dunno why anyone would do differently ). But when it comes to HL I either choose who I'm good at and feel like playing first, or fill based on what role is needed. I have the heroes I'm good at for each specialization and backups in descending order of skill of they're taken or if the team comp works better for them.

That's basically entirely how the draft works so I don't think I'm saying anything ground breaking here.

The new heroes are always shit now because blizz doesn't want to make people feel excluded behind a pay wall. They have enough overall-decent heroes in the game that are cheap enough for newbies to acquire so the new heroes are all going to be niche play styles.

Also, people always suck with new heroes. When the game was still in beta I would see new heroes every match for a week or two regardless of whether or not people would be good with them yet (and I'm talking about HL, obviously QM is practice mode)

I'm not that guy but I agree that Arthas isn't great. Honestly he should be reclassified as an assassin because he absolutely cannot hold his own weight as a solo tank which defeats the purpose of being a warrior. He's too damn squishy. With a DPS build he can crank out some damage while still having a decent health pool but trying to build him as a tank leaves him weak in DPS and survivability.

He'd be okay against a team that doesn't have s tank at all but in this current market a lot of teams build 2 tanks which means he'd be better as a brawler than anything else.

Pretty much every other warrior can stand on their own except him. Even Sonya who is usually built as a DPS would have enough survivability to work solo.
