>Monster Hunter X
Browser/Menuhax both work on the latest firmware again. Anyone interested in trying the English patch should get them.
memchunkhax2 allows downgrading any current 3DS to firmware 9.2. Visit Homebrew General for details.
While not without risks, most hunters are reporting successful downgrades. Be sure you understand the process.

>want to play MHX because the gameplay is top fun
>want to play MH4U because the framerate isn't utter garbage
>MHX made Gen 1 and Gen 2 areas somehow look even worse than the original games
>finally get a Misty Peaks quest
>scared to see how bad it looks now
>first few areas look alright, only a tiny bit worse, pleasantly surprised
>get to Area 6
>that tiled water
>that static animation
>that holographic reflection on the water
It's 3U Area 10 all over again.
Your wish is granted!
4 ranksof gathering quests, and it's PS4exclusive. No crossplay between regions, isolating japan / europe / NA to their own kind and locale only.
>not whining about quests you can finish entirely in a hour
Oh I thought you were being genuine for a second. Anyway, setting a new record for gathering quests that are also served up in the most monotonous way to date is not good design. Normally I'd call out key quest shitters, but what the hell, for once this game isn't worth doing in order.
So I'm just entering high rank in mh4u, my first hunter game, and I've decided I am familiar enough to know I love the series. Now I can't decide if I want to follow all the way through 4u or go straight to X. X seems to be more stylish with cooler armors, which I love, but I can't tell if it'll have longevity.
How active is mh4u's online right now? Would you suggest switching to X or continuing on through 4?
Still one of my favourites. Its somehow better without text
pic related, the end got me.
I actually removed it myself.
Save it friend, It's all yours!
I'm just now getting into Monster Hunter starting with MH3U. What sort of gear should I be working on getting to help me through the game. So far I've been using hammers and greatswords but I might pick up gunlances. Any armor sets or weapon paths I should keep in mind to get through the mid to late game?
Not the guy asking, but is there any real point for going for a specific bias or even map combination? The quests you get don't seem to be related to the initial bias that was available.
I'm actually playing 4u, so I hope that still stands.
How much playtime do you think I have from here? I'm still only specialized in 3 weapons, IG, CB and GS (apparently all the meme weapons) so I imagine I'll fuck around with others in G Rank? Do I still have tons of armor and weapon farming ahead? The desire for new gear is one of the major push factors for me, and I'm afraid HR Rath is one of the better sets.
in the area with veggie elder. the super sprouts are the super bamboo thing of p3rd
climb to the veggie elder, and between the elder and the spiderweb there are the sprouts.
also ping's mhx dex is out, check it out man
reread and saw you said you're just starting out, so I'll clarify, just in case.
the skill handicraft/sharpness +1 is really good, but also really hard to get until the end game. the narga weapons are the best weapons you can get if you don't have S+1. (once you have s+1, other weapons will be better than narga, but don't worry about that til later)
start the narga weapons in high rank, and ride them all the way to the end
Dont worry man, you have about 300 more hours ahead of you if you're in it for the sweet, sweet gear grind. Like, you're wearing trash compared to where you'll end up. HR Rath is pretty much whatever. Gear in general is pretty much whatever until you hit G Rank.
i dunno, i found it to be better still, despite me playing on an O3DS
i really enjoy mhx and its styles, as well as the maps from the older games
they could have added some more though, but mh4u is far more optimised in comparison
4U does struggle with maintaining a sane framerate while online, yes, but X is like that all the time and drops frames and stutters both online and offline
the locked 30FPS cap doesn't help it, either
i was hoping that the ability to entirely disable the 3D would help things, but it does absolutely fuck all for X
i don't even know why they bothered adding it if it does nothing but disable AA, without any performance gain or anything
why can't we have X with performance comparable to 4U
it'd make it far more enjoyable
i'd gladly give up the ridiculous UV mapping and sparkly shiny effects if it added a few more frames per second
>all these crybabies complaining about graphics and framerate
it's sad that the general is now overrun by 14 year old shitstains who came to MH straight from dark souls and twitch streams
kill yourselves you fucking faggots
You don't have to be 14 to see that they are absolute shit. Doesn't stop people liking the game or
not liking the gamebut it would be objectively better if the graphics weren't shit.
I used this all through G rank and didn't have any trouble farming most of the parts solo. If you don't mind the crazy bunny lady look then it's pretty good.
I actually kinda prefer X's locked 30fps over 4U's 30-60fps. Of course it would be ideal if both games ran at a constant 60fps but if they can't achieve that then keeping it consistent is better.
This is what happens when people jump aboard a piracy bandwagon into a new Japan-only game. Not even a comment on the actual game, but this is a direct result of how many people pirated it. No, piracy isn't destroying the world, it's just what it causes when a lot of people get access to a game
>Graphics are more important than gameplay
Ah, yes. I too wish MH was a AAA gaming title made my rockstar or bethsedia so I can enjoy my delicious pretty graphics at the cost of dumbed down gameplay :^)
I can't wait for half of the additions to this general to burn out on MHX so the shitposting can return to its original quality of meme weapons, meme monsters and my meme is better than your meme
And none of that changes what I just said. When they burn out on X, half of the additional posters that only dropped by because of X will leave the general again. In the same way that people who came here because of 3U eventually burned out and left, then people who played imported 4 burned out and left, people who played 4U burned out and left. Every single release has the same result
By being better in any way possible
>actual day and night
>actually good village which gets improving over time with quests
>actually different seasons
>armors are upgraded with actual mats and can be brought all the way to HR, multiple upgrade paths too
>better food system
>minigames in village
>combining with 3 materials
>wanted system with dynamic zenny rewards
>god tier online town (even if locked behind jap subscription)
FU is complete fucking shit compared to dos, i can't believe someone who made such a disgrace managed to make p3rd and X later. Literally the only improvement of FU over dos is that small monsters got axed so bullfangos are now not more dangerous than actual big monsters and melynx aren't a fucking nightmare which see you over a whole map and move faster than you sprint
You can, but you can't use the translation patch with a retail copy of MHX.
Easiest thing to do would be to put CFW on your own system and then download a prepatched MHX .cia and install it.
How the hell do I get used to X's CB
I'm so used to GPing everything that I don't know what to do now that it's shit
Is this a meme or something. I never said graphics are more important that gameplay. I literally just said a game with good graphics and the same gameplay as a game with shit graphics is objectively better. And it is.
Bushido is the go to style for CB in X. It has just guard, from which you can go into shield thrust. And it also has a new gp at the start of the A attack. So when you want to guard, hit A, not X+R, this way you won't get stuck in axe mode. And even if you do, you have bushidodge as well.
CB is still alright. It still does great damage and KO, but its moveset is truly fucked. They removed all fluidity of the weapon and you mostly have to rely on Bushido guard and dodge. Expect to spend most of your time in axe mode and only really using sword mode to charge.
Anyone got that edit of a gay movie cover with four Gigginox? I need it for reasons and googling for gay cover gigginox has led to surprisingly low amounts of even questionable material.
most of the bricks were caused by people being retarded and downloading n3ds firmware for o3ds or vice versa fyi. If you really want to be careful you can backup your nand to recover from a hard brick, I think.
>i heard this is just this generations "delete system32 xD"
I just downgraded to 9.2 and come back to this?!!
What the heck /mhg/??!
I finally get to ride Diablos and last more than 30 seconds?
Translation patch WHEN!?
who the fuck is responsible for this?
>someone still uses Gateway
Okay, to be specific, Gateway was the problem. Nintendo experimented with detecting how .3ds files all had the same header and banned some folks, but then backpeddaled, unbanning them. The current risk of that is unclear. I *think* converting it to a .3dz file addresses that, but you better ask /hbg/.
I don't really gain anything by switching to rx or cake or whatever the things are called.
I'm on n3ds and playing .cia games.
I only use the gateway card to boot into emunand.
Thanks for the info.
>Caeserber hunt for my second helper daily
>Walk into area 3 just as lag kicks in
>Black screen, wait it out
>Come out of the black screen having carted
It's ALWAYS you. You are the only monster that ever carts me when the servers decide to drown themselves, and you're like the very first monster in the game.
Sometimes they can be very kick happy if you aren't using their 1337 speedrunner armor set+weapon, but mostly they're cool. Some rooms suck simply for the fact it seems to be fraught with 10 year olds. Your best bet usually is sticking with /mhg/.
>finally figure out how to play MHX on my o3ds
>even with 3d turned off in the options as well as reduced effects in game
How bad is it online?
they leave after a hunt if you don't greet them. if they don't, they expect you to accomodate to their JP meta and post your own quests, but not too often.
it's okay once you got used to it.
turning 3d off does literally nothing but disable AA for the o3ds, so leave it on
reduced effects is just the typical blood toggle and does nothing of value for performance, so you can keep that the way it is as well
performance is an average sub-30fps, tends to get worse with large monsters
overall more consistent than 4U, but consistently lower too
You dont, hammer is crap 4 noobs just get greatsword. Hammer can't cut tails and it's knockout has been replaced by like 4 weapons at this point. Kind of lame they did that tbqh famlam.
Nope, still rapid. But compared to MH4's high rank version of it it had its raw boosted from 180 to 230, its blast more than doubled, it gained two slots, and it has rapid 5 with load up. And it can use power shot now.
who's ready for the first real monhun installment since 2009?
Bow anon again, I'm thinking about making a set with the Rajang bow. Do thunder pierce bows still assrape jho like they did in 3u? Seems to me like the vanilla Rajang's armor was made for this very bow.
What bows are are you guys using lately? I just made Soaring Grisbow before making Enraged Dalamadur.
I might try using funlance.
Tell me why this is a shit idea. I've already used Bow, CB, DB, and GS.
Am I right in thinking that shelling does a fixed amount of damage, and that the weapon gets much worse in G-rank as a result?
I'm a fan of chameleos bow. It's like a weaker seregios bow except it gets a level 4 charge (3 and 4 are rapid) and it also gets paralysis and poison coatings and 3 slots I believe. It really benefits from power shot because you can still just charge it up to level 3 and get a level 3 shot then a level 4 on top of it instead of two level threes. I like it in group hunts especially.
I do think a
flailwould be cool but it would just be a shittier hammer probably. Boomerang melee ranged hybrid weapon gets brought up a lot it might be interesting. I've always personally wanted a mage type weapon but that will prob never happen in monhun. Maybe a bomber class that would be cool.
>does KO damage
>can use momentum to throw yourself into the air, a la IG
>charged by spinning the flail around yourself, from which you can go into a slam attack or shoot forwards
>also can be thrown like a boomerang, which does extra tripping damage
Dinovaldo variant Lance is a good starting point. Once you pick up better charms and can diversify your armor sets more, you can start picking up weapons of various elements that stand out in power.
You trade in height for forward momentum.
You also get two aerial slashes off the bat, and a spinning slash when you get red.
The footstool also makes it easier to mount smaller monsters.
>yfw thinking of the thought behind this post, whether it's real or not
>finally wrapping up 2* village in MHX
>bored out of my fucking mind
>still got one last shitty forced nyanter gathering quest to do
>check 3* on Kiranico
>31 gathering/minion slaying quests, 6 of which are forced nyanter
I think I'm just going to go back to 4U.
Or just stop playing MH altogether. This is fucking awful.
/mhg/ can be very unhelpful when it comes to actually playing the game sometimes.
>How do I use [weapon] to its full potential? I've been using it for ages, but I feel like I'm missing something
>BY GETTING GUD, SHITTER
I was already wary of MHX, but I wanted to give it a chance. I'm fucking done. I have absolutely zero desire to see this through. The few hunts in 3 star aren't even fun fights.
>Trying to get Kut-Ku ears to level up the Kut-Ku Pick hammer so I can then upgrade it to the Garuga hammer
This is fucking exhausting, they just won't drop. And I need a Chilling Beak from snek. I have mixed emotions about this upgrade system.
>new skill: Ghost
>allows a slight overlap between an attack's hitbox and your own hitbox, without registering a hit
>Ghost jewels would reduce Evasion skills, and vice versa
Tell me why I'm a shitter
For a HBG there's literally only two options on what to tell him.
1)Avoid the monsters attacks, shoot him when it's safe (AKA: Shoot it till it dies, don't get shoot)
2)Get gud, shitter
And they both mean the exact same thing. Number 1 is just a nicer way of putting it.,
I meant a monster's attack's hitbox, and the hunter's hurtbox.
I hope I've gotten them the right way around.
Well not quite, there's obviously much more detail to any weapon.
Telling him to 'shoot when it's safe' isn't bad advice, but if he's missing out on making the most of openings (through bigger/faster shots or something, I've never played HBG. Siege mode?) because he doesn't know the intricacies of the weapon, he'll take ages with it.
For example, going by memory, I don't think the fact you can charge CB's shield was explained very well ingame, but doing that boosts your attack and defense.
>he can't even hear the songs he's playing
>Just started MHX
>See Charged Blade neutered speed and combos
>Insect Glaive's XXXAA combo doesn't work anymore because it shoots the bug now.
How the fuck are you supposed to use these weapons effectively now?
Is there any downside to LS now? It seems like it became completely god tier in the transition from MH4U to MHX.
Well, other than that all of its hunting arts are extremely good, enough that it makes me actually switch from Bushido every now and then.
Just do all the Kokoto village mayors requests. The egg quest with Raizex in it is in 4 stars. Same goes for all the other villages and their respective flagship intruder quests.
I've done all of the others, the translation isn't too great either so I don't know which quest belongs to which village.
Is there a way of telling, like a symbol or something?
Anon, how do you think most of us are playing MHX right now?
okay I'm getting my ass handed to me, 8* pink rathian, am I supposed to have better armor because I'm still using ceantaur helm/arms and gore faulds for sharpness +1, are there better sets to be using at this point?
Not what I meant. I already am playing the translated MHX. I mean say MHXU got released or MH5 in the west, how long would I have to wait on average until a .cia is uploaded? Is it really fast or a couple day process?
Are you playing 4U? Just go with the full Velociprey S set for now and gem it for AuL, that should carry you until late HR where you can make some actually half decent clownsuits.
It's probably not the weapons or armour. Pink Rathian is just a massive bitch to kill, and is very often the first real wall people have in the game.
Shit as it is, you might have to just keep trying. Try to take the safe option in any situation, if you can, because it'll get you with its tail otherwise.
I assume you're carting, and not running out of time?
yea she can cart me in like 2-3 decent hits, felynes help but she shreds through them ez
I've never been very good at this game (couldn't kill gatherer gore magala :^) so I might just have to step back and take a new approach
Sounds about right. One per quest, yes. Apparently they;re a bitch to get though, so use them wisely and prepare yourself so you don't end up wasting it. Variants in X are tough and have inflated HP.
Yeah to the point where they require adv spheres which I didn't have (seeing a bunch now tho)
in most other generally-difficult games you can at least grind and outlevel past hard bits, but here you have to actually muscle through them, which I actually like a lot
Git gud at dodging and don't be afraid to wait a little bit for a safe opening, especially when the monster is raging. Bring flash bombs to knock it out of the air easy, especially if you're in a zone without ledges.
>2-3 hits sounds pretty rough for HR even if your armor is outdated
A tail flip probably does a good 1/3rd, not including poison, and then rath can wombo-combo you with something else
Yeah but most wombo combos in HR are like, 3-5 hits, unless you're in Gunner armor there still isn't a hell of a lot that can flat out two-shot you. Mostly because even if they have a move that does over 50% of your HP, they won't use it twice in a row.
No, that's +. S is blacked out.
Also i think it's time for me to hop online. I know i'm shit but spending 35+ minutes and all potions on EACH of the 6* quests is kind of annoying.
Yeah, I block a good amount but haven't gotten too used to the gunlance back-jump yet. Will have to try flash bombs though thanks.
That's what kills me most often, a bunch of hits during my hitstun animation then a street fighter-ass daze into fire or poison. I guess I have to not get hit
Its amazing how Ichinose can improve Lavasioth better than the original. This shit could fit right in as a Titled Variant, we just need someone from the Wikia to come up with an overly-obtuse name like Crimson Molten Rock or something.
All Rath variants (and a lot of dragon monsters really) are pretty weak to Flash Bombs. The in game Hunter Notes mention a decent amount of weaknesses like that.
GS isn't so bad either since you can bitchslap them out of the air, and knock them over a lot by wailing on their legs.
I have no idea. Half related, is there some hidden cooldown on mounting because it doesn't work about half the time for me
might just düst off the stolz for this fight then
>All Rath variants are pretty weak to Flash Bombs.
I was gonna post that Rathalos aberration until I realized you were talking about 4U. Bless the lad his virginity is still safe yet.
>is there some hidden cooldown on mounting because it doesn't work about half the time for me
It works like any status effect, monsters have an initial resistance to hit that you have to surpass to apply it. Then afterwards their resistance gets higher and you need to overcome it again to reapply the effect.
You apply the "mounting" status just by doing any attack out of the air at them. IG and Lance can jump more or less on command if you really want to spam mounts.
Sorry, i meant 6* online. This Bulljaggi S armor isn't cutting it anymore and my dumb choice of not using anything but the Beruna weapons upgraded to the highest possible(except a Dino GS and Hororohoruru CB). I mean by comparison the previous rank took half the time, even that piece of shit Lavasioth took like 15 minutes. I understand 37 minutes for Gamuto, but repeat those for Agnaktor, Tama AND Tigrex.
Meh, enough MH for today. I'll probably do them tomorrow and farm Gamuto's armor since i wanted it anyway and i only lack common parts. This rank is a thing as the only two annoying are Seltas Queen and Dinovaldo, Raizex should go down easy and quick like always, Duramboros eeeeh. Next rank though i'm really worried. I mean they don't look hard but i refuse to do the quest with the most annoying monsters for me(Tama and Hororo) solo, at least tomorrow.
>Completed all 2 Star Village Key Quests
>Urgent isn't unlocked
The wiki just says hunt Gendrome and Cephradrome and slay 5 Rhenoplos and Hemataur but it doesn't unlock the urgent
Use this instead, other than the Dinovaldo quest before high rank it's all correct.
Do NOT play with these people if you want to return home in one piece and hold your comrades dear.
Man, still no word on mhx.
So I thought doing hbg only character from scratch would be fun, but then online would hell.
Quick follow up question, how was hbg underwater? I really miss 3s monsters and areas, but don't have a wiiu. Might make one there
I really don't get why those guys are mad. You are 100% right anon.
Fuck, that's just logic. Everything else being equal, better graphics are obviously better.
That's why MH should have continued on the Vita, not the 3DS.
I still love MH4U tho, but I didn't see the difference since Unite.
Element weapons in extremely optimized sets are beginning to edge out Dino weapons in speedruns, actually.
In fact, the number of weapons that strictly only care about raw is arguably less than before, now that HBG uses element again.
Holy shit why is Gunlance so slow? Literally what am I supposed to do if the monster has a massive opening 20 meters away? Am I actually SUPPOSED to backhop towards it?
And why am I apparently not blocking after these moves, when I'm holding R and the shield is in front of me? CB has spoiled me by covering the gaps with GPs.
I've had plenty of instances where I follow a monster into a zone and then it attacks only a couple times and then goes back to the zone it was just in.
Amazing insight. I'm just asking if this a low rank AI thing I forgot about since it's been so long since I've played LR. Perhaps to give inexperienced players more opportunities to heal and sharpen safely. I know monsters are definitely running away way more frequently than I'm used to.
>Follow the monster's shadow whenever they fly
>They end up in different places than I expected them to be.
Why don't you ummm... stop being bad?
Sorry this isn't the boss rush Dark Souls games you want.
This is Monster Hunter, sorry monsters run away at low health so they can sleep. Sorry thats how its been since the game started, sorry you can't seep to grasp that Sorry you feel like Because the gAme does somethIng you don't like so now it's somehow casual. Sorry you're a big sack of shit and whats wrong with This fucking general.
I'm still in LR so it's hard for me to judge it fairly. I'm enjoying it thus far but a common complaint is the amount of gathering quests. People aren't exaggerating, there really are an absurd amount of them. If you like 4U I think you'll like X. In my opinion it has a lot more fun monsters to fight.
I really love the new Monster Hunter games. But as someone that started with the Freedom games on PSP, I really regret Capcom didn't went for the Vita instead of the 3DS.
Why did they make that move ? Does anyone else regret it ?
>I really regret that Monster Hunter correctly saw into the future year of our lord 2016 in which even Sony doesn't acknowledge the console's existence
>hammer in X
>swaxe in X
thank you capcom, you did something right for one
It's the first step for MH to rescue itself from its status as an accident. The next step is to tweak Paintballs so they don't work like GPS markers and more tracking elements like tracing footprints and semen trails.
There is an absurd amount of them but there are many more quests overall. Not to mention you never have to repeat the gathering ones which are pretty much all super short if you use the cats. And some of them are "academy points" ones which are a gathering + kill big monster and minions mix quests. Not that i like them buti don't mind them.
There would be literally no difference if it was on Vita.
Capcom was afraid that Sony will lose in the console war and so they packed up their bags and defected to Nintendo.
Ever since the jump to 3DS, Bow became unplayable and half-assed peripherals can only fix so much.
Anyone familiar with gunning in 3u?
If Monster Hunter was on Vita, the console would have sold 2x more, you know it to be true.
Well gameplay wise it would have been the same, maybe better as the hardware is better. And graphic wise it would have been great.
Anyway, there would have been no negative point so I don't know how it can be a bad idea.
I think they're there to force new players to accumulate supplies but after the first 2 ranks they're pretty unnecessary. They probably think it's fun to mix up hunting with other quests for some strange reason.
The academy point quests I actually kind of enjoy. Really prefer them to having 4/5 exquisite shrooms for 10 minutes. I wouldn't mind one or two of those every rank with increasing point requirements and maybe maybe an egg/powderstone delivery where you only deliver ONE but through a tricky route.
Monster Hunter selling more copies on the 3DS than Vita would always have been and is the reality. It's a no brainer for the developer. If only HD games amounted to sales anymore, a PS4 copy would be deemed worth making.
>Capcom is STILL getting away with selling MH games without G-rank
>MHX literally copies and pastes from multiple games in the series and STILL doesn't have a G rank.
>People have been making custom quests for years now, proving how little effort it takes to make quests at all.
PS4 copy are not worth because Monster Hunter is made to be on handheld.
Monster Hunter was the reason why the PSP sell like bread in Japan. Would have been the same.
I don't know why you have to be rude when I am just stating facts, why are you so mad anons ?
The games are great, they COULD have been better that's all.
Tri was lacking content but damn, it was a candy for the eye.
The lagiacrus was looking so damn good on my TV.
I'm sure it could look as good on a Vita.
Is there Monster Hunter on Wii U ? How does it looks ?
Exclusivity contract. There's no other explanation that makes as much sense. Hell MH3 is openly admitted to be as a result from an exclusivity contract that Nintendo won over Sony. As a publisher you don't jump platforms, you expand your platform choices.
>maybe better as the hardware is better.
No, it would have been the exact same thing.
>And graphic wise it would have been great.
No, why would it? Just because it's a more powerful console it doesn't force Capcom to make it look better. See Frontier on Vita, it doesn't look MHO level or even something near it. Just your usual MH level graphics.
>Anyway, there would have been no negative point so I don't know how it can be a bad idea
The weak point would have been that there would have been no sales.
And no, the "but with MH, it would have exploded!" doesn't work. If other big series like Assassin's Creed, Persona, Call of Duty, Killzone, Disgaea, Digimon, and whatever else didn't, MH wouldn't manage either.
>Monster Hunter Tri had awesome graphics
It didn't really. The fact that a monster looks more detailed on a handheld that has half the resolution is really sad.
Okay, then let's just forget about that, let's all close our eyes and dream for a while.
Speaking only about the games. Monster Hunter would have been a better game on Vita.
Now yeah, Capcom has the right to be greedy jews, they are a company after all.
>It's okay when Capcom does it.
>there will never be a sleep GS with high raw outside MH4U Relics
I just really love sleeping people into 2 level 3 charges since most monsters let you get a free charge during their sleep animation.
Frontier on Vita had ported Frontier graphics. It is a port after all. PSO2 on Vita is also in the same boat.
You're showing your new. Nothing good has ever come of this discussion whenever it's been had before.
Nintendo offered Capcom a deal and Capcom took it. That's all there is to it. We don't know the specifics. Capcom simply decided that what Nintendo offered was better than potentially making a better game on the Vita.
Just drop it. Perhaps at some time in the future, we'll see a Monster Hunter game on Vita/PS4. Perhaps we won't. There's not really anything to discuss, because Yuri doesn't come here and even if he did Capcom of Japan doesn't care what Westerners want to see.
>Tri does look way better than any PSP and 3DS version
>You're just being delusionnal
Sure, i'm the delusional.
But hey, look how good MH on Vita looks!
Those poor developers, anon. After copying and pasting almost everything from previous titles, it would be a shame if they had to speed up animations, reskin some monsters, and up the damage. And maybe two whole new animations? Oh man, what a disaster that would be, expecting poor developers to actually make new things rather than just straight copy and paste things from previous games and add a few new monsters. Damn, man. You sure showed me. Wow. Shoving out MH games without G-rank, only to release the exact same game later at full price with G-rank to punish early adopters instead of making it DLC is for sure not a scam and a shitty practice.
But really though, you're a waste of oxygen. Kill yourself so at least your rotting corpse will be useful to the plants.
>You're showing your new
You're*, and I've been playing Monster Hunter since the first ones, I was just stating a fact that everyone knows to be true. Keep being delusionnal if that's the only way you have to enjoy games. Maybe knowing it could have been better is ruining your fun, in that case I'm just sorry for you.
>That's a port from a game that has PSP graphics to start with
>It still looks smoother than the 3DS versions
>But really though, you're a waste of oxygen. Kill yourself so at least your rotting corpse will be useful to the plants.
That's you. Why do you care anyway? What you said applies to Japan only.
Your ass looks smoother than the 3DS version. The fact that a 240p game manages to have better textures than a Vita game is pathetic.
I do love me some Hammer, and I've never used one from the start because I'm too afraid of not being able to get tail carves. So maybe I'll take the plunge.
But that would be Bow or HBG/LBG, and I don't want to deal with ranged shit on a brand new character.
>The fact that a 240p game manages to have better textures than a Vita game is pathetic.
MHF is not a "Vita game". It's a PS2 game with a Vita version. There's a pretty big difference here.
Feel free to keep shitposting, though, I wouldn't want to be the one to stop you.
>The textures aren't better
Frontier is not a native Vita game once again. It's a port from a game that has the same textures than the PSP version.
And the game still looks way better than the 3DS version.
In the end, put a 3ds version and the shitty frontier vita version side by side. The shitty frontier version still look better.
Now imagine what they could possibly do if they actually developped for the console.
>They brought back Amatsu but they couldn't bother implementing muzzle flash on its breath attacks.
too many gathering quests, shit end game armor choices, shit end game weapon choices, styles are retarded, its just a money grab before mh5, cb literally ruined, fucking weeb game
>The shitty frontier version still look better.
I would absolutely have to say resolution is the one and only way it looks better. Fortunately, there's more to visuals than that.
oh yea the hunter arts are useless too maybe they're good on some weapons but literally the best for the majority is "a really big dodge that sheathes your weapon" and you don't even get the auto sharpen for i dont know how long
This argument is like comparing FFXV's graphics in 1080p with FFXI's graphics in 4k.
Even just dual maces, but it seems Capcom is hell bent on giving new weapons a mechanical gimmick.
I know that anon said no flails BUT a pole-flail could be neat. Basically a few LS style moves with focus on getting the flail to spin for rapid hits. Could also be good for element/status like SnS and DB cause both Hammer and HH are shit for those (of course this would only be worth it if Capcom make element usable)
>tonfas not done totally retarded anime
>fast impact weapon
>weaker block than sns
>but have guardpoints similar to CB with high block
Boom, a fun, unique weapon that fills a currently non-existing niche and isn't stupid and over the top.
