when you're naked monsters actually do that much damage. Quests that force you to take off your armor like the jhos and the rajang actually have vastly nerfed damage.

Even the rhenoplos in G rank can oneshot you, so it shouldn't be a surprise that one of zamtrios strongest moves can oneshot people even in lowrank. For the record we weren't allowing eating back then.

Pretty much the same as before, except sometimes in addition to the fixed required materials, you also need to "feed" the item some of the mats from a general category like ores/insects or <monster name> materials.
The weapon upgrade trees seem to be slightly more branching as well.

The first time I hunted gypceros, coincidentally with them one set a shock trap right as I was murdering it with my HH. Normally I'd feel bad for killing something right as someone was trying to trap it, doubly so if they were using the wrong trap, but I don't think he'd have even learned his lesson. I vaguely suspect he'd think it wasn't affected because of lag due to the presence of a western player.

Meanwhile trying to capture or even just trap something with pubs is absolute suffering, they'll watch you put down the trap and then just cluster around the monster swinging their longswords wildly at it until it dies.

I've been in one where they expend multiple traps of each kind trying to capture Blue Kutku for an unstable, and fail because the Kutku gains resists to all of them and they last for a second before wearing off.

I had never before this point thought that it was possible to be as bad as this at MH.

They get tripped by it even so. It's REALLY obvious when it does it, but they still go to hit the tail while he's down and the tail inflicts the damage in MHO. Similarly, if you simple knock Purple Gypceros down he's gonna flail the same way even without faking death, and MHO players get hit by that. Very rarely will they cart, but you see them go from full health to like 20%

It's actually not too bad, specifically for velocidrome and kut-ku, because they're exclusive to expeditions/gqs. So if you want to farm them, you'll need those quests.

4U seems to drop fps the moment you go online for some reason. When no monster or other hunters are present in the area you're in, it still runs at slower rate. But when you're playing offline, with cats, with explosions on screen, it doesn't drop as much.
