Here we go faggots.
Torrent link out on kickass.
Post Arisens and pawns that you'll never see again once the game releases for real.
So I have the schoolproject version, and the crack.
When I copy the crack and replace the steam file, then try to run the game, the application vanishes and this pops up.
Any help, pirate anons?
I really wanna know if my PC can run this since my rig is shit.
I just like Berserk. Who knows, maybe they could bring/introduce armor into the game with the rate it's selling at right now. Japs aren't expecting much.

BACK UP YOUR SAVE FILE!
Yeah i knew this would die.
/v/ will still post about it in /v/ untill the game is actually released and they start kicking the daily threads over to /vg/.
I didnt make the OP if thats what you are implying.
>reposting the shit general
nobody cares about the consoles anymore.
most of the stuff can safetly be removed.
the only decent link is the first one. the rest can safetly be deleted for future OPs.
You have to grab him. If you're a warrior just hit him with stinger and grab him when he gets up. If you're an archer land a mighty bend on him and sprint up and grab him. If you're a mage just try to cut him off.
How long did everyone elses archive unpacking take?
I'm here at around an hour and the bar has been like 7/8 full for a while now.
Should I just restart or wait it out.
Well, looks like we're back bois.
PS4 controller support is shady, doesn't work as smoothly as 360. Use DS4Windows instead.
You should grab onto him instead.
Neat little shortcut.
>running at 4K 60fps
I had doubts, but then remembered MT Framework. This game runs about as well as DMC4.
Licensing issues. Murata wanted more money so he could buy more Idolmaster merchandise and Capcom wouldn't have none of that shit.
>Used to DDO's no fall damage in town
>First thing I do is jump to my death in Cassardis
They're decent enough, with fully rebindable keys so you can fix them up to your liking.
There are some weird bugs, though. Backspace is used for back in menus, so when entering a name in the character creator, if you try to backspace it'll delete a character and exit the menu. Ends up being a lot faster to just use CE to change the name than deleting one character at a time.
For bow characters, you press a button to switch between normal attacks and bow aiming, but for some reason if you sprint for more than a few feet, the toggle to bow doesn't work and you have to aim the bow with the skill key to fix it, then it'll be fine until you sprint again.
Haven't noticed anything else, but I'm sure there's more. Pretty minor stuff, all in all.
you can buy it for like 23 K in the weapon shop in the capital.
They did a fantastic job. Sure the game looks a little dated, but it's identical to the console version with higher resolution everything. I haven't played a game that ran this well since stuff that came out over 5 years ago.
Hey guys, don't want to be that guy who asks dumb questions but whatever.
I've never played in the first game but, well, I've heard a lot good things about that game. And now the new one is coming on PC so I can play it myself.
Is PC version any good? Does it miss something? Is it even a good idea to start with the second game and miss a good chunk of plot or it's not really connected with the first game?
Dark Arisen is only an expansion to DD, nothing is left out from the original, only extra stuff (and a lot at that).
The PC version is a good quality port with everything from the console versions and nothing new. They left out jap voiceovers and two armor sets based on Berserk but that's about it.
Just a heads up for anyone else with a 60hz monitor and a computer that achieves way past that, if you have adaptive v-sync turned on in your computers 3d settings turn that shit off. It will disable the v-sync handled by DDDA and leave you with screen tearing.
there's only one Dragon's Dogma, the one that's coming out on PC
it has all of the DLCs and the expansion pack, and is only missing 2 Berserk armor sets (Guts and Griffith's) because of licensing problems
there's an MMO that's only available in asia
they said they MIGHT think about making a sequel if the PC version sells well, which is just bullshit to increase sales, they'll either make a new one or not regardless of sales
>Just a heads up for anyone else with a 60hz monitor and a computer that achieves way past that, if you have adaptive v-sync turned on in your computers 3d settings turn that shit off. It will disable the v-sync handled by DDDA and leave you with screen tearing.
Are you even supposed to use vsync today?
I thought it's a sequel for some reason. Silly me.
so the arc unpacking tool with settings for DMC4SE work to extract textures, I need to find something I can test and edit it to see if I can repack it and get it to show up in game.
Oh and the game has \nativePC\usershader and \usertexture with nothing in them, so that might be a way to not even need to repack the .arc files and just do an automatic override like the gamedata folder for the STALKER games or something. Just need to find some of the gear a beginning character can have.
Just put Caxton's face over everything, thus turning them into guaranteed masterworks.
>can make my pawn wear stripped panties
>tfw spelunking in Bitterblack Isle
Gotta do it for my those DP gains.
I'm not sure if it even does save them anywhere.
I only use it to set up shots, then with windowed mode I can alt-tab and Print Screen before the watermarks get pasted onto the shot. Awkward but it works.
>Magick Archer STILL only gets 3 magic attack per level
>All these newbies
Amazing. The next few months are going to be so fucking good
yfw new players going to BBI for the first time
>new players encountering Living Assholes for the first time
My sides will never be ready for all the butthurt casuals.
Ah, I guess that makes sense. I don't need the texture I'll just keep fucking around until I figure this out. Thought I found the underwear texture but I couldn't get it to do anything, so I might've had something else.
I will never understand min-maxers. You can already kill Daimon in seconds by like level 120 on Hard.
100 levels of Sorcerer will get you 500 magick. The final archistave gives you fucking 1500 magick, enough to already dunk the shit out of anything that isn't outright magick immune.
I just don't get why people would get their panties in a twist over it, it's literally unnoticeable by endgame.
Shape them the way you desire.
I was saying there's no reason to play 100 levels of sorcerer because a single item will give you 3x the stats you'd get from grinding through all that shit. Play anything you want, change often, it doesn't matter even a tiny bit.
Actually, you can fuck yourself over if you do something retarded like 200 levels of Mage, then wanting to play a Warrior. Even maxed out gear won't help you much at that point.
But yeah, it generally doesn't matter as long as you have common sense.
Even that scenario isn't all that bad. The final longsword gives you 1700 str. 200 levels of nothing but Assassin will get you ~900 str.
Even if you didn't score a single point of strength for the entire game, somehow, 1700 str with a couple of periapts and you're still going to be slamming assholes into the next dimension in literal seconds.
Well, I got a thing to happen at least. This is definitely not how I edited the textures, but I at least found something and got it to change by unpacking, editing, and repacking, then overwriting the game's .arc for npc001. Time to see if I can just get it to override from the usertexture folder somehow or find a way to repack without fucking the textures sideways.
Yes. It was borderline unplayable on consoles because it turns the game into bullet hell for your enemies, and it was STILL fun as shit. I can only dream about how cool it must be in 60fps
>actually whacking magic floaty balls
Physical MK with weapon buffs is the best. Abyssal Anguish with an endgame mace nets you Warrior's damage output with the much faster DPS from a Fighter skillset. Throw in Stone Forest for a nuke and MK is insanely OP.
>tfw holy wall just soaking the biggest hits in the game without staggering
>those damage-reduction-at-low-hp traits that make you take 1 damage from fucking eliminator executions
MK a god damn best.
I always hated that you kept your shield on your back all the time and it magically teleported into your hand whenever you used it. Mods pls
Well, I haven't fucked with that side at all yet, but I know you can at least import/export the model files to/from a workable format. I'm not sure DMC4SE or DMC4 ever got into actually fucking with animations instead of just doing mesh swaps though.
Thanks, that actually helps just by telling me where the player character skin textures and stuff is. Still need to figure out how to actually get edits repacked without them going all Cap'n Crunch like >>128108305
How do I fix this?
Already tried the media pack for Win10
We'll go with the village chief since he's easy to find: http://a.pomf.cat/fljmwg.arc - actual name is npc001.arc, located in game folder\nativePC\rom\npc\f00
He's got hair, clothes, text/sound stuff I think, though it's all in bizarre formats.
I know DMC4 vanilla had a few motion swaps and shit going on, no clue if DMC4SE changed up the file structure enough to cause issues.
Animations are the hardest thing to create, but potentially having access to DMC4's large amount of motions could be useful depending on how hard it is to add new content in DD rather than just replace models or textures.
Anyone know if I can access the Artbook and soundtrack after pre-loading?
Also, where are the pre-load files kept (which directory)?
>/ddg/ is back once again
And so the cycle continues, e'er unto infinity.
I thought I finally got the texture to stay pretty normal when repacking, and instead I've sentenced the chief's clothes/hair into a pseudo-transparent void. The checkered area moves as he does, it's rather bizarre.
Making progress though, DXT1 with 1 bit alpha at least retained colors and dimensions.
Another weird keyboard bug: holding down shift (presumably it would work if you rebind sprint) while jumping with a shield equipped makes your character rapidly raise and lower their shield.
No clue if it's specific to MK or not, but it's not like it's something important that needs immediate testing.
>MA, Assassin broken
The only thing broken is Blast Arrow spam.
MA just got Ricochet Hunter which requires tight spots.
Dont know why Assassin is considered op. worst yellow class in my opinion.
Mystic Knight might not deal as much damage in specific situations but is the most versatile class in the game that can handle everything with ease if prepared.
Highest attack growth, skill that can be spammed continuously on any monster's weakpoint, literal invincibility, forced knockdown, masterful kill/clairvoyance.. That's without even mentioning the bullshit that is the bow. The list goes on, just pick one. You must be seriously delusional if you think Assassin is the worst yellow class. It's the best class in the entire game.
>havent even found the flowers i need to find
>just escorted that blonde grill
>mfw that well quest
Man that was intense, glad i grabbed that lightning spell
Seriously though i found the moon flower, wheres the guy who tells me where to get the other one?
Not really, no.
It's still up to Bamco, regardless of how well the game sells
Pirates aren't really affecting the sales too much.
Once it releases, word will hopefully spread, streamers/youtubers will play it to spread the word, so there is a chance for a sequel if enough people will want it
God damn this game looks fantastic running at higher framerates.
I don't know if I can wait 5 more days guys, I'm just about ready to start the torrent.
>tfw can't decide between Assassin, Mystick Knight and Magick Archer
Those who have the money, yes
But a huge portion of pirates are those who simply don't have the money, or don't want to spend money on it, so they are not buying it regardless if the pirated version exists or not
You can spam more than the stick to break out of shit. Every single input counts towards the "input goal" to break you out of a grapple. You can also turn around and grab the harpy right back once you break free, and steer them over something you can land on, although they keep climbing so you can't hold on forever.
If you can't manage either of those, listen for when they go REEEEEEEEEEEE and then move
Wait, hol up, hol up.
You're telling me that i only get to make 1 pawn and the rest have to be rentals or whatever? That's bollocks, even Dragon's Dogma online lets you make multiple pawns.
Are you going to focus on magic more, or swordplay? Magick Knight gets decent level ups in both physical and magic stats so it won't make much difference either way if you want to be balanced, if you want to "spec" more towards one than the other, just level up fighter/warrior or wizard/sorcerer for a while before becoming a magic knighjt.
>although they keep climbing
In my experience grabbing on to harpies and Strigoi, that depends on your character's weight class.
I'm usually around 70 kgs, and riding the strigoi up to the Macabre Sculpture in Fortress of Remembrance took some effort because of this.
I was mad too until I realised that modders now have the game and are actively making stuff for it.
So far I've downloaded:
-A decent Reshade profile (SSAO, AO, Color balance).
-instructions for putting "into free" music back in the title screen.
-trick to remove overlay on screenshots
Some things being worked on:
-transmute armor (give armors other armors stats)
-texture swaps (nude etc)
-(rumored) JP voice rip from PS3/360 version
-weapon stat changes
-real hard mode (like BBI in the main map)
Not even mad, plus you can pirate till it comes out if you please.
The difference there is pretty negligible, but even with LL characters they gain some altitude. After about 10 seconds they start to struggle and drop about a meter, and then drop you completely, often killing you.
As soon as you reach the main city, after escorting a bull-drawn cart there. If you really want to sequence break, there's a woman on the docks of the starter town at night who will take you to someone who can class change you. You need to be at least level 10 to swap.
>source: my ass
Pull that cock out of your ass and especially eyes, anon. Everything gets pirated.
The movie industry is the one who suffers the most thanks to pirates.
>In 2015 worldwide box office grosses surpassed $38 billion, while North American theaters raked in more that $11 billion for the first time in history.
Fucking movies. Something you watch once and then forget about it is suffering so, so much thanks to pirated. Imagine what must happen to games, which can be replayed over and over again trying different builds, making different choices. They surely must suffer just as much as movies.
You get access to Advanced and Hybrid vocations after level 10.
If you take your time and do sidequests (there are three or so in the first five minutes, some of which ARE missable), you'll likely be higher level than that by the time you reach Gran Soren.
I recommend that once you get to level 10, sleep at the inn in Cassardis until night and take the boat to Bitterblack Isle. Then change your Vocation (if you're Mage, you get better stat gains switching to Sorcerer right away. Strider and Fighter have okay stat gains on their own, you might want to stay a Basic vocation for a while) and take the boat back, because Bitterblack Isle is post-game.
You can level your vocation without getting exp too quickly, but i doubt you can max a vocation before level 10. kill the buffalo things outside gran soren. it takes a while but it works. or just go on an adventure and kill goblins to level a vocation quickly. Alsoafter
Defeating the dragon and entering post-gamethere is an exploit where you can level vocations while AFK
>can you get all the mage augments by level 10
Not even close, you'll maybe be rank 5 or so if you're just playing normally.
Luckily none of Mage's augments are very good.
Inflection is bugged on console, but might be fixed in the PC version.
Get Apotropaism if you want, it's okay early game. If you have DP to waste though, you'd be better off unlocking Warrior to get its rank 1 Augment, Bastion, and then change back to the vocation you were playing before.
Attunement (+10% Magick) is good, but getting Sorcerer's +20% Magick augment should be your priority.
Avoid making loli slut pawns because there will literally be a million of them and even the people who like riftsluts will still have 999,999 others to choose from over yours, avoid making any pawn with Guardian or Nexus inclinations.
I also recommend avoiding "ironic" characters, and perfect 10/10 husbando/waifu characters. Everyone who isn't making loli riftsluts is making grizzled black-haired husbandos with eye scars and chiseled abs, or green-eyed brown-skinned elven Aphrodites. The trick is to straddle the line between the two extremes.
Bear in mind that some people enjoy making themed parties. Personally I've kept pawns in my party even when I was 100 levels higher than them just because it's so fucking hard to find a good dwarf, or goblin, or what have you.
In the end though it's your game, and your pawn, and you should make whatever you like the best. I'm just offering some very experienced words of wisdom for if you're looking to make a pawn that stands out from the crowd.

Just a heads up for anyone using the ReShade mod. >>128112965 >>128112969
Reports are it looks terrible at night with a noticeable blue tint, bloom is added to the menus and skies in the daytime are VERY bright, and framedrops occur due to the additional post processing from the mod.
Can't confirm personally as I'm a buyfag who is waiting for release day.
Don't do it. You take shit loads of damage and get almost one shot at the beginning and it's just frustrating if you're new. Both normal and hard become a walk in the park by mid game anyway.
Hard mode increases damage you (but not pawns) take by something like 400%, and you use 50% more stamina.
>should a new player try it if he wants a challenge?
Maybe if you like getting one-shot by bats. Even on Normal mode, we occasionally get people complaining about the bandits near the Witchwood. It DOES get easier after the beginning (once you reach the Capital), since your xp gain is doubled and you get a lot more gold.
Hard Mode is for people who know what they're doing (to grab a second Ring of Perseverance), and even then starting Hard Mode at level 1 is pretty hardcore.
Hard mode is perfectly playable from the start once you're more familiar with the game. I'd start on normal, though. Hard was balanced with you knowing monster weaknesses and exploits and shit; if you go into it not knowing what to do it'll just feel extremely frustrating.
Dont listen to the Poofters mate. Go Hard mode it is the only way to play a game. It is extremely rewarding knowing you defeated an enemy at hits best. Be a sick cunt mate, not a casual cunt.
did they remove the berserk armors sets? does this include guts weapon?
if the answer is yes, fuck this game
You can go in on normal mode, get your ring, set it to hard mode (which resets your game progress but you keep your items, basically forced NG+), set it back to normal, and then grab another one.
Ranger is like if you got dropped into D&D's universe with a fucking minigun/.50 cal sniper rifle combogun. Blast arrows are like using HE rounds with your magical gun. Expect massive stamina useage and damage to match.
>You can go in on normal mode, get your ring, set it to hard mode (which resets your game progress but you keep your items, basically forced NG+), set it back to normal, and then grab another one.
Damn, this makes it 10x easier. Why do so many people do it in hard mode then?
>game gets praised for its character editor
>all women look the same
You could give people the option to manually build their characters from the wireframe up and they'd still make a legion of brown loli elf sluts.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DELETE YOUR NAME?
These fucking controls are horrible, holy shit.
Hope you guys got it on GMG. Gives you the preload steam key right away too.
because i record on medium settings. if i record on high setting or the highest setting the file gets to big to be posted most of the time. even with the low quality you can see what is happening in the webm.
woops meant to quote you with >>128118829
I'm not runing anything demanding right now is this weird?
Alright guess I'll just wait, I lowered all the graphics too but nothing changed
So should I go hard mode from the beginning? Seems like more trouble than it;s worth. If not, at what point should I go hard mode? Also, are the sidequests kept completed if you go hard mode and are forced back to the beginning?
>living in third world internet
>downloading poorfags 5 GB repack instead of proper 16 GB schoolproject.7z
The hard mode is pretty shitty. You will take a ton of damage( a lot of enemies can one-shot you) and every skill uses way more stamina. Also the enemies drop a shit ton of gold. I really wished this mode could be moddable.
I guess they might block it somehow with a patch which won't support 1.0 version saves, but they'd fuck over the early access guys. So. it's probably 50%/50% at this point.
I noticed. I went mainly for the gold since I always had money troubles when I played on PS3. It's not as fun as I imagined.
But what;s this about getting some item on normal at bitterblack then changing to hard mode?
This game on PS4 controller is pretty annoying. The button prompts keep flashing and swaping around when I press buttons. And the prompts are just numbers. Other than that I guess it works fine.
>instructions for putting "into free" music back in the title screen.
I'm gonna need a link, I've got the MP3 and FLAC ready to go.
> /ddg/ is back
> DD:DA is on PC now
It's like I just woke up from a coma.
Since when it's on PC ?
Is Dragon's Dogma Online out yet or not ?
I tought that the game coming on PC would create a shitstorm. Where I was this whole fucking time.
Not that anon but you are not fully utilizing the 3Mb limit of 4chan. Fiddle around with Bitrate and resolutions to get the best quality into the 3Mb file
You can still see what's going on, yes, but wouldn't it be more pleasant to watch if it looked nicer?
Run around fast with daggers and shoot niggers with bows.
I don't think I ever dressed with stats in mind and it was fine, if you don't get hit and you have curatives then you could play the whole game in tatters.
In the super late-game every piece of equipment can be useful with goldforging, as even items that had low defenses might suddenly gain amazing resistances.
You would need the best possible weapon though or you'll just not have fun.
Your weapon only matters, the rest is not too important
The only time armor actually becomes a tiny bit noticeable is when you start upgrading dragonforged armor into goldforged and so on which is waaaay into lategame
Equipment can determine whether you get staggered or not. Some classes you can say "just don't get hit", but with Mystic Knight and Fighter it's relevant if you want to use your shields and not stagger.
Are you new to fantasy games?
I wouldn't worry to much about it, items are more important really.
I would follow a logical progression path though, don't level as a mage if you're going to be a warrior, or level a fighter to be a sorcerer.
>install the reshade
>start lagging on a 970
what the fuck
Do I really miss out on shit other than whoring out my pawn if I play it offline? I mean sure there are RCs but I never had any of them on my PS3 playthrough since I started way later than everyone
and it's not like you can't do anything about it on PC.
How bad are the premade pawns?
FUCK THIS GAME! DROPPED!
All vocations should be Scather + Challenger/Mitigator. In my experience Mages will do their thing regardless, and when they're not you'll want them to use offensive spells effectively.
No, you can still fight the offline one, but that doesn't drop as much stuff on kill. Plus if it's the same as the console release you can just connect to the game servers and play online with the same file or choose to play offline, whichever.
medicant makes them autistic about healing, so it's not very good as primary unless you want them to do nothing but heal all the time
challenger makes them actually attack shit
>Warriors still don't get to equip 8 skills for using a two handed weapon but mages do
>No advanced class that focuses on shields/protection without magic bullshit
You can beat the game solo with any class, so it's not imperative that your pawn be a particular class (or that you use one). I personally find having a sorcerer as my main pawn is most convenient, but others would disagree.
Is this backed up by anything?
Fighter 10/ Assassin to level cap is uber build for best str and stam growth.
You can do Fighter 10/ All Warrior too though.
The fact that the top rated pawns have consistently been fighters and mages
The fact that mages are almost mandatory
The fact that fighters draw aggo better than warriors on top of being tougher
>have to play a basic class because warrior ditches the shield completely
Trying to decide on kb+m vs. controller. Which one is better?
I've just started and am using controller, but the aim moves so damn slow even on max sensitivity which I'm hating. The hotkeys sound nice. I guess I'll play controller for an hour then switch to kb+m to feel the difference.
I've just started off and I feel like I won't be able to stand how slow your aim moves even on max sensitivity.
>The fact that mages are almost mandatory
Protip for all the non casuals: don't get hit and chug grass when you do. Now you can fill that spot with a sorc that can kill things.
This wait is killing me. I just want to remake my shit already.
11 - 100 WR
101 - 200 FT
Skills: Calamitous Lash, Arc of Obileration, Whatever.
Exodus isnt required since you will be face tanking everything while channeling Lash/Arc, i recommend Ecliptic Slash.
Augs: Bastion, Fortitude, Sanctuary, Exhilaration, Temerity, Regeneration
I take Regeneration to maximize HP/Sec with immortal set
When Sanctuary and Exhileration trigger you pretty much become unstoppable against physical damage, BE WARY OF MAGICAL ATTACKS, most big spells will either 2 or 3 shot you.
>standing on a cliff and bombarding area with spells while your pawns fight with monsters below
You guys weren't kidding about how good magic feels in this game.
> in tutorial
> camera pans to guy holding a monster saying, "arisen, finish it!"
Is there a button I'm supposed to press when this happens? I think I saw a tutorial message about it briefly but it disappeared before I could read it.
Pawns are completely retarded when it comes to using items, they gobble that shit like it's candy.
The amount of healing mages provide over time is way too good to pass up. If you like chewing on wood that's cool and all but don't go around saying mages aren't great.
When pawns grapple small monsters they take extra damage from attacks
Also in the case of cyclopses, pawns can learn to topple them over by grabbing a leg, when they do so you can grab the other leg and the cyclops will fall over.
Theres lots of stuff like this in the game.
