Talk about a chip off the old block.
A POTATO CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHH I'M GONNA EAT TATSU'S CHILDREN
My friend told me xenoblade was weeb shit and id never get pussy if I bought it. I bought destiny on ps4 and am now rolling in college age pussy. Take a life tip from me, /xbcxg/
With all an ending this open it feels like the main story was just a prologue.
Very, very unlikely.
The reason is that if you've read the short stories, Nagi mentions that the pilot that was with Elma was someone he had seen grow during his life.
If that had been you, Nagi would've recognized you as well during the game.
Also the whole AI thing from Yelv's affinity missions.
so the second pilot is mia? been 100+ hours since i've seen the intro scenes, but don't the higher ups in blade tower, when they first meet you in chapter i or ii, act conspicuously friendly/inviting toward you?
i feel like the game loses something if you're just a random-joe that elma finds in a random pod but you turn out to be the strongest fucking dude on mira, randomly.
Any Tyrant I should farm for Ether Dual Guns? I'm just doing Joker right now
Make a build, try to make your partners "OK" as opposed to absolutely useless, build the Ares 90 so you can farm shit ezpz, and do 100% Mira survey.
>MFW I accidentally come across an Affinity Link conversation
This is such bullshit, they don't even give any indication that it's an Affinity Link and then you're forced into a choice where one is always good or bad, no middle ground.
It sucks the google doc guide doesn't have anything on them.
According to the short stories, Nagi recalls this
>And so, the <Moby Dick> began its journey, captained by Nagi. But, at the end of their two year journey, the aliens had finally caught up to them. One of the two factions had pursued them, and attacked them with biological weapons. The bioweapons were fearsome, and the outer shell of the residential area...they phased through the hull, and boarded the ship. Within each of them was an antimatter core, so they could not be disposed of carelessly while they were onboard. Their destruction would pose a great danger to the Moby Dick.
>A single young man had saved the ship from that predicament. His valiant efforts repelled the bioweapons, but he vanished along with his Doll afterwards.
Then Elma recalls this
>She had repelled the alien bio-weapons together with a young man, before crashing on the planet. The Doll the two of them had been riding had been blown outside of the ship at that time. However, the young man opened the hatch just before, and threw Elma back towards the Moby Dick.
>Elma: “If he hadn’t done that, I don’t think I would have been able to return to the ship either.”
>Nagi: “So, he…”
>Elma lowered her gaze at Nagi’s words, and shook her head.
So yes, he's gone, at least as far as the game tells us.
Whether you believe your character is an average guy or not depends if you beleive the theory that has to do with Yelv's affinity missions.
So I'm getting the Skell Liscense and one of the quests has me earning 15k credits in one frontiernav return. Any tips on doing this? I tried finding the sightseeing spots to boost returns but even with these guides I can't seem to fund any of them. At least not in Noctilum anyway.
>so the second pilot is mia?
It's likely ded in the last fight or when elma crashed and her teammates got rekt
>but don't the higher ups in blade tower, when they first meet you in chapter i or ii, act conspicuously friendly/inviting toward you?
They need survivors and those are quite rare, you were one in a long time
If anything, you're more likely to be made from Yelv's friend. He's the only character in the game who thinks you're familiar in any way
plus the friend had an on-the-nose cross scar on his arm.
You need to research probes (the binoculars ones) also you should have a duplicator and booster probe by now. A good place to plant those probes is central Nocturn or eastern Oblivia.
Take out your mining probes, they lower credit income.
Place Research probes where you have uncovered sightseeing spots. Sightseeing spots are more important than chains.
Then just worry about finding more probe sites. Make sure to level up your mechanical skill, some probes require a high mech skill number.
90% sure that was the mission it did NOT have to be one return, I could be wrong. If you have any research probes find the highest rated revenue probes by each other so you can get a good 3-4 chain on good revenue spots.
Keep fighting the good fight any soon you'll be a meme pilot like the rest of us.
Remember that Mechanical>>>>>Biological=Archaeology when upgrading field skills
Head out and scout out more probes, this layout nets you tons without much effort later on.
Overall just link lots of probes to a duplicator, and hook up a Booster to that for ridiculous returns.
yet you b elma tfo in every regard, even though she's revered as a full metal bitch. that's just the problem with mute rpg characters in general, i guess; they feel 'soulless'. still seems strange that someone as strong as your character is literally a nobody.
you're probably right, but, considering you can change mimeosome aesthetics on a whim, maybe someone changed the hero skell pilots to whatever yours is.
do you watch anime or play vidya? someone hyped to this level is still plot relevant. dude's still alive, and, if you're not him, then he's probably the one on the beach at the end.
haven't done yelv's missions yet, so i guess i could also just not know what i'm talking about.
Although I thought it was a fine ending and such, I just kind of don't give to much thought about that after credits scene as I'm pretty sure a sequel will never happen.
Decent story, if not a little corniness which is standard for the genre
Where the heck do I get more high tier research probes
Dumb tile treasures are only giving me mining probes I HAVE SO MUCH MIRANIUM PRODUCTION but i want more credits
>elma is the protagonist and a revered warrior who apparently trained half of BLADE and helped save the ship
>totally outclassed in combat by a shy homosexual
The thing in the central chamber was the mainframe and evidently quite durable. They went to the storage area.
Alright so I'm a little worried now. This thing I saved says to talk to Slovity before the zerg rush.
Is that zerg rush the one from the story mission or is it something to do with just this particular quest? Have I fucked myself over simply by virtue of not finding these guys until after that story mission?
The main computer with the genetic data for earth's lifeforms is fine. Its the mimeosome computers that were destroyed. All the data for their original bodies and personalities are gone, and the server for their AI no longer functions. Everyone mim that gets killed is gone for good. All that mims should have shut down as soon as they crashed on Mira, without the server working. But somehow the planet is keeping them running.
Good, just as long as I haven't missed it. I was worried I'd gotten those guys late because their mission involved going into that fort in oblivia where there's a bunch of level 50 dudes and I was only at level 30 at the time it popped up.
>He's the only character in the game who thinks you're familiar in any way
Yelv is only responding the way Eleonora programmed him to respond. His friendship is not about your secret identity, it's about his.
Even his name is a tell. Too short, obviously an acronym. We should be calling him Y.E.L.V. or Y-11.
IS THIS THING ON?
AM I ALL ALONE?
IS ANYONE THERE?
I NEED A BIGGER GUN...
Does anybody know what is the quest I'm missing here in Primordia?
what arts for HB should I be dumping my BP into
And I'm missing another one here in Cauldros.
Finding sight-seeing spots will earn you more than a new probe. When you do find a probe, it will be worthless without tourist revenue.
I found that most of the spots I unlocked on my own like a grown-ass person were also mission locations eventually, so there's hope if you a an otherwise hopeless moron.
I don't really get this game.
I basically just joined BLADE, yadda yadda yadda. I get there's a huge grind to get the Skell or whatever, I'm ready for that.
I don't get how combat works. I just got up to Glennar and my teammates got raped; we killed the two Lv8s but Glennar vs just me was obviously going to end badly. I don't understand how to heal and it only gave me the option to help Lyn up once.
Is it worth buying armour this early? I bought the "cool" looking spacesuit armour but from my experience with all vidya ever, early armour makes basically no difference and is a waste of money if anything. Also, how do division rewards work? I just picked from a list; obviously I picked the 30,000 credits item because I don't have anything else yet. Do I only get to pick that once a day/week? Why would you pick the 10,000 over the 30,000?
How do I change class? I want to use Longswords but it seems like I need to wait for the tutorial or something.
>Also, how do division rewards work? I just picked from a list; obviously I picked the 30,000 credits item because I don't have anything else yet. Do I only get to pick that once a day/week? Why would you pick the 10,000 over the 30,000?
You get to pick once a day, and the rewards are in tiers. 10,000 is the lowest reward; it's for the division that comes in last. Naturally noone picks it by choice.
If you ever wake up and only one person remembers you, it doesn't mean there's something special about you. It means there's something wrong with that person. Like they are trying to sell you insurance. Or they are secretly running the whole situation to fuck with you.
Well, I'll just keep grinding Xe-doms in this hexagon. I'm pretty sure if I kill enough enemies in this area whatever the quest is that is supposed to take place here should autocomplete, right?
This is how they look.
Pick your poison.
It well get you WHERE EVER YOU GO
THEY WILL FIND YOU QUICK
Resistances are 1=1% and actually make quite a big difference, but early on loot is better than what you'll find in the shop.
Hit rank 10 with Drifter and you can start changing classes.
>Shitty rap and incomprehensible japanese man singing
>Generic japanese man and woman singing in broken English
Oh nevermind, that's all Sawano's capable of doing.
some of the choices in these quests to choose whether a person lives or dies is pretty fucking dumb sometimes
>egg monster quest at water plant
>woman npc is distressed and shit, i'll let her shower since it's what she seems to need
>oops thats the kill button
well I don't have ares because I'm broke as fuck, had to spend all my money on level 50 skell for final boss fight.
I'll try GHOSTUWALKAH though, thanks anon. Just pull only one of them while it's active or use it during the fight against both?
>"Don't worry, connecting it to either cable will work just fine. It's no big deal dude."
>Oh woops, he died and we lost the cargo because of the cable you chose.
This is what I use if it's of any help. I have him as a wall that buffs my party and gives them TP.
Yes, with existing memories. There's no reason for her to create a fake body and then scatter parts of it across the continent when this would need to be set up before the ship even crashed since he has material evidence that predates it. The fiction comes from thinking his memories are his own, not that they're entirely false.
That's the big reveal in the debrief. He's curated. Eleonora placed all the pieces you find; she knows where the last piece is before you tell her you found them. It's like the Truman show where the protagonist is desperately trying to demonstrate that he's a true man.
Xe-doms put MSG DOMs to shame
Also dat whirring noise you hear when one is close by...
You need one full heart per conversation.
>he has the other part from the crash
That's not programming. I'm not sure why you would think they got the entire project up and running from nothing in less than two months when everything else was in the works during the trip as well. Obviously this would have been going on before the crash.
Just maxed out Duelist. Kinda sad I still don't have Ultraslash or Blosom Dance. They sound quite powerful.
I wanna do the huge Damage.
Do I go for Enforcer for lightsabers or Commando for Dual guns?
What the fuck. Elma actually does things, apparently.
Okay I'll try that, thanks anon!
I just defeated the two level 80 but I did it differently. I gave every skell 2 theroid slayer augments. In the end it was one of those fuckers, me in my level 50 skell and Lin on foot. Lin did a really good job with tanking it. It was a close one though, almost got my skell destroyed.
>"I die for Tree Clan."
>Oh, you don't have the item the other Prone told you to get? Enjoy the sacrifice of a family member.
The hardest part was getting him to come down to ground level.
200 per Primer, up to 180 from Sliding Slinger used from the side, Blood Sacrifice trades 1/2 HP for 1k TP.
Zero Zero will get you up to 600 TP if used after a ranged art, but you need to clear Celica's affinity mission.
Since someone asked, here's a full comparison between the one piece and the two piece bunnysuit, featuring Elma this time.
>He's the first one I rescue
>Get the option to throw holly or see what happens
>Have no idea why I'm throwing holly at a monkey but do it anyway
>Didn't know I had any in my inventory
>Didn't even know you could have him die
If she mentions being a xeno in any of them, could you transcript what she says? She apparently has a different message in her 5th heart to heart if you've beaten chapter 12.
What is the last heart to heart if you haven't finished the game? If you did she just says that
you already know her secret and that she got more spacious separate room in the barracks and had the ability to pick team members herself so it won't spill out she's an ayy and barely knows anything about earth
I can't seem to be able to accept mission 4, is there something I'm doing wrong? Requirments say to finish two missions which I'm sure I did and survey Primordia to at least 15%, I'm already at 17%. Is there something I'm missing cause I'm not seeing it.
>six stars makes all the best-looking weapons
>none of them are ether
I think I got it. I haven't done the Prob-fessional mission yet. I could have sworn the name of the mission where you first probe a site after fighting a tyrant was that, never mind.
I thought that'd be the case. Not like her being an alien comes into play when you're talking about cars or cats (except maybe for that friend who was into cars she mentioned but even then that's a different can of worms)
>I could have sworn the name of the mission where you first probe a site after fighting a tyrant was that, never mind.
Nope, Probe-fessional is a series of 5 quests you get from Kristy that regard exploring the map on each of the five continents.
Finished the game earlier today.
What stake did Elma's race have in defending the human race? Why did they go to Earth and fight that huge battle?
Samaar were the human percursors? But didn't Elma call Goetia a Samaarian witch or something? Maybe it's just my memory being fuzzy.
Is there any concrete information about the previous civilizations on Mira? Some Nopons said there were two nations that destroyed each other and the huge rings in Oblivia are remnants of their weapons. Is there anything else?
>100% Mira survey
>just discovered new area
>90% of the squads I join are obsessed with squad tasks
>ygg zero is right there
after I put on the eyepatch I realized I looked like that leader chick from Akame ga Kill repost since I am literally retarded in terms of settings and everything else
All my squads do neither. Literally did all of one objective for them and none of the others moved at all.
is it better to use Lin as a tank or an all-out attacker? I've heard good things about her offensive Arts..
I used to do that but since I started memewalker my cooldowns are so short I need to optimize, try and make sure rising blade is near blossom dance and wokker, make sure primer and zero zero are adjacent, etc.
I've been grinding for an hour and I have not found a single Advanced Crank.
Hold me please.
Color scheme for Ares 90?
Already have a Daily Dose Skell, USA Skell and character colors skell.
Currently full black matte with white visor and default lights
The fuck is this anon? This is bright as FUCK
So does ground equipment still affect you when you're inside your skell? I know the .DRIVE abilities specifically affect the skell's abilities, but what about treasure seeker and stuff like that?
Or do skells have their own treasure augments?
This is how mine looks.
Earlier today I also saw one that had a black body with red trim / details, which looked pretty neat in my opinion.
I think white looks like shit on ares, well all white that is. Black, with pink and white trim is goat.
They're available for each character as long as you have enough hearts of affinity with them for each level. So if you just recruited Phog for instance, you can do his first H2H when you get 1 heart, his 2nd when you have 2 hearts (and have done his first), etc. You could've done all of Elma's before ending the game, basically.
Samaar basically have a lot of shit going on. They're a huge intergalactic empire according to what xeno NPCs say about them. The Ganglion are a part of them but destroyed earth because they didn't want any possibility of the Samaar having a failsafe for them. Earth and humanity being created by the Samaar is just the Samaar having their fingers in many pies.
Is there a way to avoid my superweapons to drain all the fuel of my light skell? Should I just not use them for regular fights? I heard the 100% fuel efficiency augment doesn't work for skell arts for some reason.
"We made it wrong on purpose, as a joke."
Maybe if it was a quarter of the price of the Ares 90 it'd be worth having.
Can't go wrong with both.
HEAT EDGE from dagahn
I think there are only 4 times you can get them
against the thundercat mechs the first time
against the caladars you fight in that one affinity mission, which is actually started in cauldros
against the cat at the top of the tower, if you teach her to fight instead of picking a different hobby
I have only seen senju and homura myself from that
and what is it called? I'm post game.
Is it the one where they want to beat up some stuff and it suggests you involve prone clan?
Because that one requires instead that you don't save slovity's teammates and have them talk it out instead in an earlier quest.
Just got black's fig, are there any other fig in time trials besides the twins? I'm assuming no since you get them through the story but maybe.
And fuck Phanatos, did its task thrice and recently learned it drops a fig, too.
Ganglion mechs drop Orphean tech, they did them. You get told by Orpheans that Almandal is top cock of skelldom, Goetia musy've sucked as a pilot if you could beat their best skell.
This is the Ares my H.B rides in.
Sect 1: 152-175-173
Sect 2: 35----0---255
Sect 3: 45----0---255
Sect 4: 35--173---0
The black rod comes with HP Recovery on auto attack so you can kind of RP being the black twin.
>why do I keep dying when I attack? Guess ghostwalker is bugged
>OH MAYBE HE'S REFLECTING ETHER
fucking hell I'm stupid
They don't use Skell insurance if that's your issue.
Hit + and hit exit your skells though
>Do the lvl 47 affinity mission in the barracks
>Oh, I got the weapon they were developing, let's see just how powerful it is
>Everything is dying
>Fuel expenditure has never been greater
When do I get even greater weapons than this back/shoulder 22k force beam cannon?
>people using elements they don't antireflect
Posting OC for the XBX thread
I put way too much time into this shit
>letting someone out of your sight in a dangerous situation
There's improving to be had but it's pretty good.
>Rock thumbs up.webm
I know where I saved it, someone should post it.
It can work, but it's a lot less reliable than say, ghostfagging or reflectfagging. If you get 3 missed/resisted screamers in a row, you're fucked.
Out of 38 sleeplock attempts on Gradivus only 3 were successful for me, even with 4 resistance reducer XX augs. Also there's the fact that some monsters are completely immune to sleep.
It does have its uses though. I managed to kill sharnaak's seidr in that cauldros definian base
in 20 seconds with sniper/knife.
>Golden Yggralith Heart - 636
>Silver Vita Core - 210
>Crude Neilnail Mask - 210
>Seidr Control Device - 138
>Advanced Core - 138
>Upgraded Lens - 58
>the last 3 drops from the same enemy
So just farm those, find a way to get 100k miranium, and I can start ez mode farming, right?
>spend well over 15 minutes getting pharsis' hp down to 20%
>she regens back up to 50%
Just started the game, just complete the first Tyrant Monster;
Why does it feel like my attacks dont do any damage at all?
Does the story get any more interesting?
I feel like the combat is deeper than XC, but it feels more basic. What are the big defining things that have changed? Just specific target lock ons?
What is this Ghostwalker shit people are talking about? I can't find anything about it in the manual
Enemies have a lot of HP. You need a good set of arts to start making meaningful damage.
Story is interesting, delivery is eh. Sidequests are much better than the first game, lots of interesting storylines there.
New thigns: Overdrive, secondary cooldowns, tertiary cooldowns, appendage lock-on, melee/ranged weapons, art combos, and mechs.
>Cost to maximally fund an entire arms manufacturing company's research and development - 200,000
>Kirsty: "We need a ton of miranium" - 2,500
>Cost to open a single weapon slot on one low-level weapon - 10,000
Guess the concept of a monopoly transcends species barriers.
THIS is Ghostwalker.
Decoy level = how many hits you take for no damage.
A skill also reduces cooldowns by 50% so add that shit into it.
It's OP as fuck.
>tfw entire squad in my barracks are full of bikini girls
I might do that if I had significant TP gain. Just swapped to build today and have 0 Art TP gain XX augs. How many Melee accuracy Augs do you use, I've noticed a few are needed but damage is important too.
So aside from Alex, Chausson and
_Lao_, who else did nothing wrong?
>I might do that if I had significant TP gain. Just swapped to build today and have 0 Art TP gain XX augs. How many Melee accuracy Augs do you use, I've noticed a few are needed but damage is important too.
I haven't grinded basically anything for the gear of my character yet, I'm farming stuff for my skell now. I just know with just the basic stuff I have gotten by level 60 I can handle all the skell-less time attack missions pretty quickly without having to worry about my TP, which isn't much but gives me confidence that I may do well with only one arts: gain tp augment after all.
tfw memewalker kills nahum before she can summon nardacyon
Craft Excavators and sell them for 2.5 millions.
Because you made Alexa happy, right?
>kill nahum with ares laser
>hop out the muthafuckin porsche to fight nardacyon
>get my reflect aura ready
>accidentally reflect nahum's dying attack
>she dies before the robot can appear
She did get her previous partners killed upon arriving on Mira, and has trouble understanding human emotions (this is most obvious on repeated playthroughs and the short stories).
Also we don't even know her endgame or motivations.
She can't be perfect, she's autistic
>why would you consider me a pet??? is your brain broken???
>stick in the rear? this phrase puzzles and confuses me
>how do humans interact
Too bad she's not ayylium Virgin Mary, or she could conceive MC's children regardless of the lack of sperm.
Isn't she an expy of Robot Mary Magdelene anyways? God damn I like religious imagery but there's a breaking point you know.
He really didn't. Not saying this sarcastically, even. He was awesome all the way through. I don't understand why the game kinda gives him a sleazy depiction when he was constantly reasonable and considerate.
It's natural to oppose authority; he'd be hated regardless of what he did. Some BLADEs also complain about doing his dirty work (like the one in the area perpendicular to Division Drive and behind Armory alley), so regardless of his heart being in the right place it's possible he does suspect things for NLA's best interests.
Not saying he isn't in the right mind you, he gets too much shit for what he does.
Arts: Gain TP XX
Every art you use gives you 200 tp
Ghostwalker is for defense, everything else is for offense. Offensive stance + core crusher + blossom dance shits out mad deeps
Check out what I got in the mail!
>trying to get mats for detonation flail
>notice some of them are from wrothian boss
>get in time attack mission
>notice I don't have skells available
So do I have to do something to unlock being able to use skells for time attacks? Cause while doable without a skell it's bullshit that I don't have one when I did in the actual fight.
I don't know how the fuck people are doing these best times without an ares or some shit. They're finishing the mission before it's even possible to run into range of the bosses half the time.
>go to scout console
>get 3 level 60 longsword users with at least 200+ potential, the higher the better
>put a shitton of mechanoid slayer xx augments on your weapons
Grinding is boring so just make it as easy for yourself as possible
And for the record, people are using range extending augments with some other shit to get those times.
What's the fastest way to gain tp for a good raygun build? Having an aura active at all times is key to dps. I assume there's a melee weapon out there with arts for this shit, but I also really love my knife for smooth recovery and black butterfly(the ether res down helps because I use an ether ray gun, plus ether blast for when I have the excess for it). Is it possible to achieve an infinite overdrive raygun build? I figure if there is once I get mia and beam bomber I can shit out a nonstop stream of death.
>Farm for days
>Still not at the damage cap
Fucking christ this end game is a chore. At least luciel is a OHKO now.
What about skills? Thought I had it figured but someone said Trigger Happy and Secondary Cooldown and five slots don't look like a lot, now.
Two for ether, fast forward, half melee cooldown and aura assault, add those two... I don't see it.
So i heard Longsword + Gattling Gun is great for a thermal build.
Which other weapon combinations are good? i'm leveling Galactic Knight and would love to know which ranged weapon fits best with Photon Sabers.
I'm just about to beat down (presumably) the final boss, is any of the post game stuff worth doing?
It seemed like all the different races understanding each others' languages would be an important plot point when it was brought up (like, Tatsu thinks everyone else speaks fluent Nopon) but it doesn't seem like there's enough time left for the story to explain that, or any of the other weird Mira stuff. Is this ever explained. It's weird to bring up the language thing in-game if it's just a case of making up a way to let everyone communicate. I wouldn't question it so much if the characters didn't.
One, you don't lose access to content once you've beaten the game, which is good, because two, most of the questions are hinted at or answered in the side quests (i.e. the 90% of the game's content that it doesn't make you do). That said, since you're asking I'm assuming you're okay with some level of spoilers... basically the game leaves the most important questions unanswered, and if you watch past the credits, it creates a fucking massive question that basically is begging for a sequel.
>It's weird to bring up the language thing in-game if it's just a case of making up a way to let everyone communicate.
It's either sequel bait or an abandoned plot point, take your pick
Dual Guns help with the TP issues, no idea how well Rayguns work but they definitely look cool.
Some Tyrants and missions unlock after clearing the story.
>it creates a fucking massive question that basically is begging for a sequel.
That's great, this is one of my favourite games and I'd love to get a sequel. I've done more sidequests here than I've done in any other similar game so I'm more than happy to do a few more after the main story ends. Thanks dudes.
it's neither of those. having a language barrier wouldn't contribute anything to the plot so 'the planet translates for us' was put out there to shut down talk about understanding languages.
it's the same thing in Star Wars and shit where all the relevant species just understand english for whatever reason
Am I the only who doesn't like Lao because of his
constantly abandoning his team members? Even without knowing he's filling the ganglion in on everything, leaving your team over and over is a really shitty thing to do.
Its mostly used to establish that there is something odd about Mira. There's the auto translation, then you find out there's some type of space distortion around the planet, the various races aren't able to leave it or contact the outside, Mira is not on any star charts, and lastly the ending reveals
the planet is somehow keeping the mimeosomes running. The earlier points are so the ending is not completely random from out of nowhere. I think Mira probably has its own AI system like Alvis, but who knows if we'll ever find out what is really going on.
I have a question since I'm unsure about some augments.
If I have a weapon with something like Insectoid Slayer equipped, do I get the benefit from that even when I'm not using it?
I know things like Melee Attack on ranged weapons is a thing, but I'm just curious if other effects carry too, or only stat bonuses.
Alright, awesome. Thanks.
Next, is there anything I need to do or gear up in particular to make Long Sword viable long-term or semi-permanently?
It seems there are only physical versions so far, and obviously Physical is already turning out to be non-ideal at around level ~28.
Other elements become available when you unlock the other manufacturers, like Meredith and Six Stars. Early on just equip whatever weapons and armor that give you melee attack and potential. The other traits don't matter much.
Yeah, I'm sitting at around 500 melee attack so it's not like I'm having any trouble killing anything. My concern is that even though I've upgraded every current producer at chapter ~7 to level 4/5, that I still don't see any beam longswords which is what I was aiming for, since they seem to be generally the most versatile.
That or anything else, I mean. Just unable to find anything sans physical, which has worked well but is already showing some signs of weakness at times.
>Doing Ygg with 2 other friends
>This guy shows up
>Demands that we play his way and even tells us to look at his stats
>Demands us to watch his damage
>Also tells he's here for kills and not tickets
>We ignore him and just fool around as usual
>He gets mad, calls us stupid, and kills himself on purpose to use up the retries
>Leaves the squad afterwards
Never thought these types of guys existed here.
Don't think longswords, dual swords, or knives have a beam variation. They get all other elements though. Generally ether is the best choice, because the Core Crusher skill is the strongest skill in the game.
So is there any way to cheese Vortice without having to use memewalker shit on the ground? Should I just make a fuckload of piscinoid slayer XX or something? Is there a way to reduce his ether res without attacking him first or something?
I just want my bikini
so how was your xeno play today?
I spent all my entire day grinding reward tickets from global nemesis. I got the notJapanese underwear sets completed so far.
I was hoping to be able to do dual-melee with photon sabers and longswords, but it seems that's an impossibility.
Either way, aren't both Ether and Thermal resisted heavily by some enemy types?
Almost every monster in the game is weak to thermal and ether. Most have around -25 Ether and -50 Thermal. Mechanoids are slightly resistant to them, but not by much. Doesn't matter though, because Core Crusher is too strong.
I think I've seen that name before. He called a guy stupid for breaking ygg's parts and then left the squad when others defended the dude.
This guy needs to play another game where he can make use of builds he searched online. Like a MOBA or something equally shitty as he is.
Nothing really for Thermal
Hunamanoids/Mechanoids have 10% Ether resist (Goetia has 35%), but Ether Boost (+50% max)+Core Crusher(+150%, ether only) deal so much it won't really matter.
Also Blazing Lophids have 50% beam resist for some reason.
I grinded for lots of things. Trying to get 90~ Ygg scales so I can make 3 pieces of the most expensive Eyylmao armor. Also grinded tickets for suid tails so I could make Ranged Attack Drive XXs, which I used with my Zenith Mastema to kill Pharsis for the first time.
No. Only the skills Synchrony and Stellar Entry affect skells. Skells have up to 30 weapon augments slots though, which more than makes up for not having skills. They can equip 30 of the 40% slayer damage augments if you want.
>Decide to try the G-Buster on my L30 Lailah because who doesn't like a big ass fucking sword
The pixie cut. Best saved for qts, not boys.
>Want that Ares 90
>"Okay the pastebin says to just use reward tickets for the hearts, I think I'll just stick with that and grind out the silver cores"
>Can't even beat the fucking time trial
Right well, fuck me then.
I basically reward ticketed those. They're not that expensive and I was able to get the ares90 in about 2 days of reward ticket grinding. The last four materials are best used for regular grinding.
is brutal cause of Gravity damage. few enemies have resistant to that. but mostly flying enemies and some heavy hitter like Xe-dom. G-buster is perfect for power lvl too.
go kill almost any human or mechanoid enemy 10 lvl above you
Curator pride worldwide
I'm gonna go switch now that I've hit BLADE 10 though
I'm tempted to go down that route myself at this point. I'm using a gravity-focused galactic knight right now and it's doing... Okay.
Speaking of the G-Buster, is there an equivalent for the other attributes or is is that good mostly because of the gravity damage? I'm saying, is there a beam, electric, thermal, etc equivalent?
for Thermal I would say Meteor, not as close as 1 hit high Damage like g-Buster but its a long range AoE (around the enemy you attack, not around you like Pheonix) + Blaze so the enemy receive 1 or 2 more damage from the burn.
Meteor is perfect to farm Joker
It appears that I picked up a Reflect:Ether augment recently.
Must have dropped from either the tyrant filament in White Phospo-Evasion Drive R' Us or the chest at the terminal beneath him.
Is this a thing? I thought it came from Telethia but I haven't had the non-mission kill yet, though I did recover the Orphe's arm. It didn't drop then.
Yeah, there's a few chests that give 2 augments. Usually the level 5 ones, maybe level 4 too.
80% of Cauldros completed to get Mia's final quest so I can get the probes I need for the Ares 90 is bullshit. So is filling out the Collectopedia, because I can't find the last four things I need, even with a guide.
Something I did discover that may come in handy for others: if the guide says "early morning, raining", for an item to appear, it means EITHER morning OR raining (or both), so don't waste your time trying to get it to rain in the morning so that you have two minutes to try and get the item you need.
Also it's somewhat easier to grab items in the waters around areas if they're available there - no enemies to run into that can stop you from collecting.
Alright I've finished the main story and I'm sick of doing subpar damage
How do I cheese the dick off of this game
Start stacking melee atk up augs
work on reflecting everything
reflect phys and therm from dadaan
reflect ether from a chest
reflect elec and from lugalbanda
reflect grav from pharsis
Best order is chest, dadaan, lugalbanda, pharsis.
>I can one shot anything with less than 6k hp in a single auto attack
>I can kill anything with less than 50k hp with a single art
>I can deal a million damage with a single art, and 600k with a second art immediately
>I reflect everything, and have ghostwalker for anything I can't reflect
Interesting note, if you've just got reflect, it won't reflect shit like topple and sleep. If you have ghostwalker and reflect, it'll use whichever is most beneficial to you for the damage interception. It'll also make the extra effects miss, while reflecting the damage.
