RIP in peace edition
>What is Grim Dawn
Grim Dawn is an ARPG made by a few left over developers from Iron Lore Entertainment who also made Titan Quest along with a few other devs including one D1/D2 designer. Currently you can't really pirate it because it breaks NPCS and quests (custom DRM I'm guessing) but there is a DRM free version planned for launch.
>What are some features
Dual Class System
Refined Loot Drops
300+ Hero Monsters
Modding Tools (Future)
DRM Free Version (At launch in February 2016)
Survival Mode (think endless dungeon) (for all backers)
More here http://www.grimdawn.com/guide/about/featurelist.php
>Why is this game taking so long to make?
Post in the thread, in the forums or in the ledit.
>The Harbinger was an expert in ranged combat, preferring the use of a rifle to take out his foes at range. Requires a two-handed ranged weapon.
>Set item weapon is a Crossbow
This rustles my autism far more than I thought it would.
Isn't OP. People only now starting to realise how important LLeech is.
Thanks, was leaning toward nightblade or demolitionist myself. The dagger I have gives a point to a nightblade skill; do I need to invest a point in that skill to get the +1 to it or will speccing into Nightblade be enough?
Didn't know I could respec things. I guess that'll be introduced later down the line, but it's good to know I'm not locked in. I have tons of ideas for characters and the ability to respec is going to be great.
Thanks, was thinking of using the blood curse DoT with the Curse of Weakness to layer up a lot of blood damage and further boost the dot while maybe setting up a killing field with traps or AoEs, but it doesn't look like the Demolitionist has any decent traps like I was hoping. DoTs for trash and heavy hitting specials for bosses. I was hoping a plaguesmith type build would have been viable/ possible though.
One of the character builds I want to try on a different build is a Shaman/ Occultist zookeeper. How many pets can you have active at one time?
It does make it a bit tough. The eldar fire titian thing I found was easy enough, just kite him around and keep the DoT up. The monsters that have auto heal kick in that outdoes my DoT is a pain though, but now that I know I can get refunds for points spent I can experiment and try things freely.
>Didn't know I could respec things. I guess that'll be introduced later down the line
Spirit guide is right there in Devil's crossing, you can speak to her right after completing your first quest after they open the gates.
>do I need to invest a point in that skill to get the +1 to it
Yes, you cannot +1 a skill with no points in it.
>How many pets can you have active at one time?
I don't believe there's a cap so you're only limited by how many pets you have access to.
My friend's conjurer had three variety of hellhound, the crow, briarthorn, black scourge, a skeleton, and primal spirit. I might be forgetting some summons from granted item skills. Point is, you can roll deep.
Noted. Thanks guys, I'll log that and keep it saved up for the next character.
Thanks; figured as much but wanted to make sure. Was hoping that this crawler would be different in that regard seeing as how the skill is one I'd have to sink 20 points into mastery to even be able to access.
Anyone else have problems with random areas of ground sparking like items or there or get sounds/ animations and even models of loot dropping, but your unable to pick it up?
Just started noticing that last night.
Also I think putting the character face next to the dialogue box isn't the best choice, they're all generic crap, artworks would be better especially for main characters like ulgrim and creed.
And for the love of god I want a bigger 3d model of my character when I open up the inventory.
do you mean Broken Items?
sometimes monsters drop what they were wearing/using but you can't pick it up unless I'm mistaken.
Now that you mention it, I can hear it.
also Agreed, portraits should be digitally painted.
I want dyes/the ability to change armor appearance, maybe do something where you can break down an item and get one of its bonuses and then for a one-time deal apply it to another piece of equipment.
I feel like that's been done before, who's done that before?
>maybe do something where you can break down an item and get one of its bonuses and then for a one-time deal apply it to another piece of equipment
Oh hey, this guy has an epic MI. Too bad it's apparently for 2-handed Elementalists.
also it would have to be randomized which stat you could extract to prevent complete bullshit and encourage more farming.
It's really bugging me that I feel like this has been a thing and it was really unpopular but I think it would work with this genre.
I'm sleep deprived and can't make the connection
why am I being smug bullied?
There was talking of a survival mode/endless dungeon separate from the main game a while back.
>do depraved sanctuary on several level 20 characters with 1k health or some shit
>lol dont even give a fuk these niggas die 2fast
>try it as melee at the same level with 2,5k health
>nigga you wanna tank these bitches?
>too bad fuck you die
I'd be down with that. If we get anything it'll probably be DLC at best though.
Come to think of it, the only dungeon crawler I recall playing multiple times other than this one was the first Torchlight.
And on some bosses (like log, hive queen) only 1 can hit the boss at a time. And reportedly (I've noticed this and there are complaints about it on the forums) that if you use the pet-attack skill and the pets can not target the primary target you selected, they'll walk around aimlessly even if there are other targets right next to them to hit.
Pretty buggy. Also starting to get tired of my Conjurer @ ~72. Gearing is terrible for it. Impossible to get good resists since every pet item had god-awful useless stats other than the pet stuff.
I thought more than 3 can attack a target if there's no obstruction (ie 4 around the boss in a circle) I could be wrong though.
Valhalla Knights was bretty gud for a JRPG, same with Rengoku
I wish GD was more than just 'go there kill that' and had players thinking
you know, Crate promised player choices and shit but so far it only affects 1 merchant, faction status and your relation to outcast
why can't we side with aetherials? seize control over the cult of chton and turn it into witch god party with catgirls and shit?
if I can wreck avatar of motherfucking Mogdrog then I can beat aetherials and take the capital for good measure
good thing Ulgrim cucked the Emprah already
no I'm fairly sure than when Ravna was getting attacked by 3 doges my raven straight up ignored it
same with my m8s acid lobster
On the note of random dungeons, i think we're getting a survival mode eventually which is supposed to be just that.
>RIP in peace edition
>implying everyone isn't just restoring their character from a backup-save
Is it where we deluded ourselves into thinking this game has a real hardcore mode?
>playing hardcore if you're just going to cheat
for what purpose, who are you impressing?
I suppose I can understand being pulled from the PC at a critical time and getting killed for reasons beyond your control and doing it but I can't understand any other reasoning.
What's a good shield build, and how many points should I actually be putting into the bullshit ability that is cadence?
Why the fuck they made so many of the soldier's skills so point heavy is beyond me. 12 on cadence at least would have been fine.
You will have to use Cadence if you do not have another autoattack class with it. You can safely neglect it later in the game when you craft Shard of Beronath weapon component which gives you a really good autoattack ability on it.
I am sure you're making assumptions
MI is not bound to be rare
MI by definition is an item that drops from certain enemies
you can run that chtonic hellhole multiple times and get incinerators quite often if not always
that makes it a MI unlike some other items
What buffs you want fàm?
My back profile is better when I'm not on fire
Where should I dump points in at this point? Pretty much unkillable in hardcore elite.
Just buff my shit up
Soldier/Arcanist or Soldier Occultist (Soldier/Demo but you really have to build up Fire % to be really good)
For Cadence you should put
0 when you get Mistborn Talisman or Shard of Beronath
Early on you'll want to get Targo's Hammer devotion skill ASAP and max out Shield Training, then Overguard. I also have Bull Rush linked to Troll Rage and Trample (for those pesky archers/gunmen). Buff phys and internal trauma dmg for better killspeed
so? if it drops from certain mobs reliably then it's a MI
you go to cronley's place for pauldrons and they are considered MI despite not always being rare
Pew pew Commando reporting.
they dont drop from certain mobs
if anything, they are limited to an act which still doesnt make them an MI
please know what terms mean instead of giving them your own warped definitions
I don't know, I feel like the implementation I had in mind wouldn't be that silly.
>break down item, destroying it
>RNGesus serves you one of the bonuses
>Receive some kind of special consumable with said bonus that you apply as you would an augment or component
>One time onry per equip
I think it would encourage more playing/farming and give the player even more customization. RNG would make creating a bullshit item more difficult, and the one-shot aspect would make you want to hold out for the good bonus.
You could make the augment soulbound but not the item it's applied to to encourage trading.
Okay, it's dumb.
>chtonian cunt = monster
Another picture. Part of why I like it is because it reminds me a lot of an enemy (and I think armour you can use) from Sonny (I think Sonny 2)
>Monster Infrequents are Rare (green) items that can only drop from certain monster types, or in some cases only from one particular Boss or Hero creature.
>Some MI's are "unique" in the sense that they have no base item type, while others do; for example Murderer's Spaulders can drop as a normal, magic or rare item or as the Murderer's Epaulets Monster Infrequent item.
you are so FUCKING dumb
murderers spaulders is a white item that can have green affixes
murderers epaulets are a green MI that can have any affixes too
NO MENTION at all of blue/purple items you fuck
>tfw hit a brickwall in game where I can't balance resistances, OA-DA, and damage % before jumping to elite..
>get to 15
>start new character
>get to 25
>start new character
>get to 35
>start new character
You can tell if there's a giant black/blue boney chest and some scary fuck tries to kill you for looking at it. Supposedly they'll spawn randomly in preset locations 100% of the time each game but not all locations are known.
>enemy is knocked down and not moving at all
that's because you realize that any character combination you make is the same boring shit.. Keep trying to find an exciting and interesting build, anon. Let me know when you do.
>Health regen bonuses on gear are complete shit
>retaliation doesn't work on ranged enemies
>must raise resistances
>must raise offensive and defensive ability
>must raise damage modifier(s)
>aether damage is liquid shit
>tainted brain matter and such crafting material are way too fucking rare
>no movement based skills whatsoever
>Rush to enemy and generic speed increase are movement based skills
Are you fucking shitting me nigger? No dash, no jumps, no hopping back, no
Is it this engine that can't do it at all,or just a design choice?
first of all, engine is shit and can't handle teleportation, which is why all blink strikes are coded as +500% movement speed
second of all, GD isn't DMC so there's no need for *teleporting behind you*
more often than not you won't even kite because you will get slowed and have to fight for your life or use one of the many oh shit buttons
That wasn't implied at all.
>no movement based skills wahtsoever
>here are a handful of them
>b-b-but not every class has them!
>also stop saying saying things you didn't say or imply at all
People like you should not even be posting. Huge goal post shift and putting words into other people's posts.
They affect movement so yes they would be. Just because they aren't what you want doesn't invalidate them of being such.
They might be decent if you spec for them (lightning damage) it's just most people who use them only try them for stunning. I can't say about their damage or if you spec for them.
>Devotion path plan has nothing but chance on critical effects
>Fight a hero mob, check my crit chance
Does this shit get better at higher level or is crit fucked in this game?
You have to sacrifice better fitting bonuses in favor of offensive AND defensive ability
Made demo man, went rank 1 firestrike, maxed the aoe, electricity and brimstone thing for it.
What secondary class should i take? Nightblade to dual wield pistols? Atm running with 2h crossbow.
nightblade doesnt let you dual wield pistols, but its probably the best idea
the other idea is arcanist, for straight fire damage and damage resists and thats it
eventually soldier if you dont like dying
I bet you use healing potions too you fucking shitter :^)
I bet you attack enemies too you fucking shitter :^)
I bet you use anything but a trackpad to play GD you fucking shitter :^)
go back to casualstone, Kripp
this game isn't any good
>Thread quality plummets when US kids are home from school
>tfw I will never have competitive leader boards in GD
>tfw the patches will stop flowing before D3 and the game will die
>tfw it will never have even close to the player base size
what about my statement is extreme? The game is quite LITERALLY a reskin of the predecessor. All they did was flip the skill trees sideways, recycle some assets and make up some bullshit about spooky spirits invading from the netherworld and call it a day
Pretty sure none of these were in TQ, senpai.
It's the same engine, and it's an ARPG, just like TQ, yes. And a fuckton of the skills are very close to what we had in TQ as well, although there are plenty of other ones too.
But hey, why don't you go play Titan Quest if Grim Dawn is so shit?
>POE shitposters are so bored of their shit game they have to come here
There's no way retaliation will be viable in Ultimate. I mean, sure, you can probably make it work somewhat on regular mobs and melee heroes, but it would take years to kill anything.
Also, what would you do with ranged mobs?
Your reasoning is dumb, retalation are melee hits that don't rely on your swing and use other dmg modifiers, saying things like "it doesn't work on ranged" is like saying that melee hits are not ranged.
Saying "it relies on enemies hitting you" is like saying your melee relies on you hitting the enemy, if you have low OA you will not hit, if you have high DA you will not get hit so you do the same you would do for melee, you build around it.
Retalation is simply extra melee attacks that rely on the enemy to activate, and you're gonna get hit when you're melee, regardless if you built around retalation or not.
I'm probably falling for some bait here, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt:
Yes, but retaliation damage does not trigger on ranged attackers.
I'm actually not sure of whether or not it relies on OA either, but if it does, you're probably gonna run into problems hitting enemies in Ultimate, and if it doesn't, it can't crit (You can get pretty ridiculous numbers of retaliation, though)
What I'm saying is, you can't rely on retaliation only. You need something else as well, to deal with ranged attackers and situations where you get mobbed by 4+ heroes at the same time, and can't tank them for extended periods of time.
is there anyway to build a soldier that doesn't involve spamming the default attack? Like can I run shield tank and have good survivability while dual classes to something else that's not shit?
>too bad there are no lategame caster shields, Crate really fucked that up
So... Something like this?
I'm playing a Forcewave build while stacking trauma. Gives you ability to kite hard bosses and thin out dangerous packs before you just melee them.
Most likely not ultimate viable build. Farming BoC veteran atm.
I still don't like how Mornay sees Elsa as a daughter but Elsa says he sees her as his dead wife. I want to say his dialogue was a bit different in previous builds but I don't remember.
Either it's an error and they flat-out forgot to update/change text, or one of the two is outright lying.
retaliation and procs on block for trash mobs, sigil and blood for sustain, pox with modifier low level heroes, doom bolt and possession for bosses
dying god constellation works wonders
play with a totem conjurer to see some serious shit
You said it's either an error or one of the two is lying, but im showing you that there exists another alternative. If Mornay was married to his daughter then it would make sense without any of them lying
who the fuck is level 85 by the time they enter elite, anon?
this is my build so far http://grimcalc.com/build/16nbQ2
what exactly would i change to make DEE worth the point investment?
Also where do you suggest I farm for better gear? My resists are shit, that's for sure
>finally get an upgrade you've been looking for
>see lvl requirement
Thanks I guess
you need vile eruption more than levels in curse since you only benefit from vulnerability part
get 1 eye, 1 gaze and dump the rest into vile eruption
also remove shaman aura and blood, you will be getting all the health from wendigo
>mfw found an empowered shield with 96% vitality resist
would anyone want to watch me die in the steps of torment hardcore vet?
Elite is fun. I like the way this game handles difficulty. It's not a gearcheck, more of a check on your ability to adapt to damage types. It's a fancy way of saying "stack resist or get killed by shrimps", but it's better than D3's "farm legendary sets to be viable".
exactly how is this different? If you don't have the resist you obviously have to go farming. Its the exact problem I'm facing now, with trivial white mobs chunking at my health due to low resists.
Haven't found an upgrade yet that would let me play competently in about 5-10 hrs of farming
it took me awhile to upgrade my gear as well but you can also craft or buy some good items. Sometimes I just start a game, check the vendors, exit game, and repeat till I find something worth buying.
>about to wreck log in hc vet
>kiting a bit while the DoTs do their magic
>he decides to use chaos barrage at that exact moment
>his CB doesn't have a windup like bolivar's
>eat every projectile at melee range
well that was fucking bullshit
at least now i know to wait until after he's shat his chaos turds all over the room before warping into melee range
That fucking blows. My friend died to Bolivar's shotgun. Shotgun skills in general are kinda bullshit. Not as bullshit as Mr. Imma remove your buffs and 1 shot blink strike you though.
I solved the problem by revamping my devotions and putting right components on my gear, I never felt like I gotta go farm for a particular item in order to not get blown the fuck out. Maybe things will change on Ultimate.
You don't really need to grind to get those resists though. Just playing through the game gives you more than enough to get whatever resists you need to a suitable level.
I never feel like I need to go grind until I get a particular drop in this game.
So if I'm currently halfway through elite, do you guys think I should stop and try to grind a faction to nemesis? It seems like theres a number of level 60-65 legendaries but by the time I would get nemesis through the regular game, I'd probably be level 70 and the better ones would be dropping and those old ones would sort of be "lost" forever
Im assuming this is how it works or am I wrong and you still get level 58-65 legendaries from nemesis chests when you're a high level in ultimate?
>mfw the Grim Dank habbening
I knew it. I fucking knew it and no one believed me.
309th for I hope this game goes even bigger on launch, all of you are pretty fun guys.
Well, we can see some kind of the ladder based on character level... Expansion is already promised and sales going well i think, keeping in mind, that company is quite small yet. So patches wouldn't stop flowing any time soon. About player base, first it's pure single player game, so it's not that important.
people were suggesting changes for several years and devs straight up ignore it
just wait until they release modding tools so we can have real classes, real enemies and real fun
I have a couple hundred hours, and I experienced a few.
>items drop through floor never to be seen again
>blitz an enemy only to get stuck midway, doing a running man non stop until I died.
>friend turning invisible
>trade button not working
btfo the void and staying the whole fight with me
>finding a weapon with skill missing
looking at it now, game is not out yet, but has less bugs than 99.99% of the other games out.
>Been autismally farming mats for Badge of Mastery with 3 friends the past couple days
>We craft like 20 of them
>This one pops out
RNGesus loves me.
Why don't they just make it so that Hardcore characters, when they die, can be brought back to life as Softcore characters?
That way you preserve the purity of HC runs, but people who die in HC and want to keep going with the same character can still do so.
Im using that right now and doing just fine. Basically just using the retaliation abilities from demo though so its almost a pure nightblade build. But honestly, I'm kicking ass with it.
is that area of the map supposed to be like that? it just uncovered itself
Just don't play HC if you don't want to be locked out after one death.
>Does Solael's Witchfire work with Aether Ray? I'm still not completely sure how skills like Solael's functions.
AFAIK they count as a passive buff when they're active. So it should affect AAR.
It's easy to test though. Put AAR in your attack slot. Look at your DPS stat. Activate Witchfire. Look at your DPS stat again.
Came back to this game and wanted to make a firestrike pistol build.
Which class should I pick as secondary? Arcanist or Soldier?
Is the build viable/good for the highest difficulty?
So I'm level a level 20 nightblade right now and starting to have survivability (and energy) issues.
I'm thinking about a physical build so I guess I'll pick soldier as my second class. Should I still keep using Lethal Gambit then or switch to Cadence?
is there anything better than joining hardcore MP games and killing people with fevered rage pox?
they don't ever see it coming
>not using phantasmal blades
it's dakka for a white man, you can't lose with it
post your edgiest characters, I need my donte fix
Necromancers and kymon's chosen having their HQs literally 100 meters away from each other feels silly as fuck.
Do you think they like shouting insults at each other over that broken bridge?
>watch me crucify and burn your bros, fuccboi
>remember that maiden you had a crush on? she's our fucktoy now ayy lmao
I do want to make a poison build some time but I was thinking of going generic caster mode for that. I know melee is stronger but my main is already a Spellbreaker so I don't want to play with similar skills so soon.
it is a caster though
except instead of spamming eyes you will hop around and facehug bosses while trash dies to a single eye
it has higher potential survivability with all the shit you can dodge while shit melts from NJE
also 2/3 cooldown reduction on a 3 sec blink is absolutely retarded
It's a caster with one devastating melee poison attack. You can skip DEE for a while in favor of item skills + debuffs. Noxious bomb for aoe and Infinite gaze for single target works just fine.
like two weeks? b29 literally exploded and when drm free version will be released game should gain even more recognition and generals will survive easily long enough.. this actual thread moving quite slow, though
NJE is definitely up there in terms of damage, even from an early stage. It's fun to use too what with the blink and the options it opens up hit and run attacks combined with your other abilities.
man it seems like everyone has so much health compared to me.
wonder what if there's anything I'm doing wrong build wise or it's just items
I've been messing around a bit with a Saboteur build and am a bit lost on what to take as my primary offensive abilities.
Going dual wield together with Fire/Static strike, as well as using P.Burst with Elemental Awakening seems good enough but that still leaves me with a lot of points. Are Thermite Mines worth it? Was thinking either that or the Mortar, or just go ham on Grenado and max out it out.
Both are good and totally viable.
Commando gives you shitload of buffs and speed and the best debuff.
Sorcerer gives a shitload of elemental damage, 3s invuln and the best toggleable defensive buff.
Will you be a tough pistol guy or a crazy pistol alchemist?
I'd say Sorcerer but it's also harder to gear up, you're going to need a lot of +elemental damage coupled with attack speed and defensive stats while Commando has at least two of these already from the skilltree alone.
It's tempting to go full on damage but I'd suggest to pump physique first at least until level 25 or something, Act I will be a slog but you won't get killed and you'll have more choice of gear once you reach Act II. And grab a Gunslinger Talisman/Jacket/Marauder Belt as soon as possible.
Kiting in this game is so fucing painful. I made a sorcerer and while dealing shitloads of damagewith a full marauder set, animations are slow as shit and you find yourself facetanking, or trying to, any tough enemy generally.
Match that with the absence of dash, cancel aggro (or anything like that) skills and you find yourself relying on high defenses with a fucking ranged mage.
I'm not buying Crate next game if they don't trash this fucking engine once and for all.
Crowd control is fine, although heroes and bosses are immune or resistant to freeze, stun and flashbangs effect quite often. Backstepping I don't know how you can be fine with it unless you always have +30% total speed...
why is this allowed? I was hard after seeing hungering void already
I don't remember the night being so dark.
Not that guy, but I have the same "issue".
It's what it look like when you bind spell to the number bars at the top of the keyboard (used for & é " etc...), on an Azerty model. I'm pretty sure it doesnt do this on a Qwerty keyboard.
It still work, but you see wonky symbols instead.
so anything that says "% of attack damage converted to health" only applies to skills that deal % weapon damage?
is the total value of that ability's damage what's used for the health conversion, or only the portion of the damage that came from the "% weapon damage"?
Thoughts on maxing out both skills in the flashback line?
I got the first one maxed and it helps, but does the second one help against bosses? I'm having difficulty burning them down right now and in veteran I'm just getting by although I've only died a few times
I'm doing cadence using a 2 hander and using the aura from arcanist that leeches energy from enemies and converts some of your physical into elemental damage.
I'm only level 14 though right now, but its going well on hc veteran.
how do i improve my survivability? the few times i've died i went from 100 to 0 instantly and couldn't tell what it was that killed me. don't mind the DPS, totem build
I'm finding bosses to be a bit of a grind as well. Level 30ish shaman and I'm just not finding the right sense of balance between my offense and defense. Gotta expiriment some more and just chug those potions.
Resists and Armor. Your chaos, aether and stamina res are low and looking at your level you should be in the last areas where those are very usual on mobs.
Kite large packs and dodge projectiles.
Im running an on-hit Demo/Arc pistol build right now. It shits out more damage than any other build I have done, but it is the epitome of glass cannon. If I can't kite a boss / named mob I get one shot.
I think this can be solved though by specing more into Maiven's / Mirror / Vindctive Flame.
>try out bastion of chaos at 50
>walk into a new room, passage way behind me locks
>stuck in a really tiny room with 3 traps and 4 bosses who are each 6-8 levels above
>my mastery combo has zero emergency survival skills
>check builds on the Crate forums
>at least half the people there just cheated their gear
>most of the builds are really sub par and are carried by the gear
>make a poll on how many people have backed their HC chars up
and that's how I left it forever
Is it complete fucking overkill if I go for bulwark AND maiven's?
I take fuck all damage, have 83% block chance and -99 recovery, but bosses take fucking ages, even if they can't even kill me.
Blast shield is fuckawful though.
It only prevents fire and pierce damage, both of which are resisted anyway so whats the fucking point.
Unless I'm missing something?
B29 has been out for a month but really only added necrapolis and the final boss. Even before that game still had tons of content.
It isn't 2014 where the game had a level 35 cap anymore, dude.
Went through act 1 with no deaths on a dual wield pierce blademaster and was feeling pretty confident, then died 3 times in an hour on act 2
Fuck those boulder tossing guys disrupting skills
I went back to Diablo 3 today
>those smooth animations
>those attack patterns
>those shitty legendaries
>those batshit insane sets
Normal/Vet is just the training wheels phase in these games. Everyone knows that the real game begins on the higher difficulties. Everything we've seen and done prior has been worthless.
New Legendary items are build defining
Needed the new difficulties to unlock all the devotion shrines to complete builds
2h is pretty shitty. Dual wielding in general is always better in Grim Dawn.
>tfw faction weapon specific enchants give better gains for dual wielders and sword and shielders than 2h wielders
>they get two components
>there are no 2h specific components for compensation
Crate hates you for wanting to use 2h weapons
>Compare two level 50 1h and 2h weapons
> +835 DPS
Just go to the spooky blacksmith in Necropolis and craft it.
But yeah, I'm edfinitely not farming that shit with every character I'll make, Crate needs to increase relics blueprints and crafting materials drop rates.
>you don't hit with both weapons all the time, only around 33% of double strike
>2handers have the best fucking procs
>2handers shit on high armor enemies because they deal fuckhueg damage per hit
I am a shankfag enthusiast myself but let's not discredit berserkbros
Would a Blademaster make for a good sword and board defensive build?
What class would be better? I kinda want to make something that can tank trough stuff and just hit everything with a poisoned sword. I have always loved poison in games and this one finally has made it good.
I was not aware there was a blacksmith in necropolis or that you could craft hearts. Learn something new every day.
But yeah, drop rate is too fucking low on purple materials. Been trying to farm blood of cthons too, it's fucking awful.
Is there a cutoff for getting the enemy/faction specific crafting materials? I was fighting the early ass golem in flooded cavern at level 77 when he is like level 60 and still getting ancient heart but now I need a metric fuckton of Binding Seals from the blood cult guys and they used to drop like candy but I'm 78 now and they're about 70-75 but I haven't seen one drop in like 3 resets of a dungeon when usually I'd get like 3 drops per run.
In fact you have to use either tainted brain matter or blood of chthon to craft it, which are equally tiresome to get.
How come all the top DPS characters are always dual wielders and never ever 2handers? Doesn't even matter if you don't hit with both weapons always or not, you still get the extra stats + component stuff from the off-hand item which is enough to put the single handed mainhander lightyears ahead of 2h weapons.
many skills only benefit from one weapon and of course crate haven't bothered to tell us about it
sure you can equip 2 weapons but most things that use %weapon damage will blow DWers out of the water
people are too pleb to use skills and use autoattack instead, hence the amount of bladebabbies in HC
Nightblade has the blink attack that poisons foes but it's pretty far in the tree, it does hella lots of damage though so there's that.
Going occultist/soldier instead you get your poison skill level 1 and it's AoE and it's also really strong.
The pros of Nightblade is that you have a oh-shit button and a heal on really low cooldown.
Pros of occultist is that you can have pets and curse of frailty.
