No, the HRE won't even be a formable nation, the emperor can form Germany around 1880-1890

Here's how it will work:
The Emperor has a modifier for some bonuses, and a country_flag which is just to signify that they're the emperor. All the tiny German nations start in the emperors (Austria's) sphere. In 1840ish and around 1860-70 (depending on who's emperor) the emperor will die and the electors will vote for Austria or if Bavaria is a GP they will vote for either depending on relations and whoever gets 4 votes wins and gets all the spherelings. If neither Bavaria or Austria is a GP the crown goes to Prussia. If all 3 aren't GPs the empire is dismantled. Prussia can choose to dismantle instead of getting the crown too.

Here's my shitty ebingroBFrancienblob. I had to changeowner some minor shit to make this work, and clean up the very worst borders around the world. Africa is a result of 3 genocides, the 4th of which would've happened in late 1936. If you're wondering about the US, they had some rebel troubles toward the end, but ended up fascist. All in all, there was a drastic lack of Great Wars in this game, with the only one that I know of happening because of a fluke where i had changeownered the other 3 provinces of Liberia to myself while competing with the UK, because realistically they wouldn't have gotten that land if the only thing they owned bordering it was Sierra Leone. After a few months it ended up triggering a great war for no reason, which happened to not be the kind that stops on day one.

France gets chummy with Austria way too much. Its not even a problem of being friends early game, but that they stay friends throughout the entire game. The only time I've seen them fight since cossacks came out is when allies happen to call them against each other.

No, HPM uses a different map, and all the converters I know of can only handle converting the default map over as far as I know. Mods which use the vanilla map can be used without problem.

That first screenshot is the 7 years war beta. It's not HPM, so you get assimilation even with a London capital, and if you don't force the slavery issue before 1875 there are no CSA cores and the Dixies return to the fold.

Unfortunately, Seppos are determined to stay American.
Really though, the issue is that the Indian states aren't actually all that useful, so swapping the subcontinent for a million Dixies, angry Yanks and some land opportunities is a fair deal.

Other than the Low Lands territories you already have a PU with, you need to conquer two OPMs (and Liège). I always start out in a shitty position though: either France allies Austria or France rivals me, which means I will have to deal with both France and Austria at the same time. Considering they're both the biggest therats to Burugndy and Austria (being the emperor) is guaranteed to join any war I declare on imperials, I would like to at least have France on my good side. But even when we aren't rivals, they ally Austria.

I started by adding new postcolonial nations just because. Then I decided natural events for flavor. I just thought of what had big effects in history. Earthquakes, volcanoes, famines. I just took the one which there were most of, and started with that. I'm about halfway done with all the earthquakes now. After that it's on to something else.

They're province bound, so if you were to conquer China as Korea in time for the earthquake, you'd still get it. And sometimes, reconstruction can come from an earthquake, or temporarily beneficial effects (1663 Charlevoix Earthquake, increased tolerance of true faith).
They're also not guaranteed to hit. They have a chance to happen in a roughly 2 year timeframe with a MTTH of 20 months. (So slightly more likely to happen than not, but still).

And it's also to balance out some "dynamic" development I have planned out, where random provinces will just "develop" a bit every now and then.
