No, the HRE won't even be a formable nation, the emperor can form Germany around 1880-1890
Here's how it will work:
The Emperor has a modifier for some bonuses, and a country_flag which is just to signify that they're the emperor. All the tiny German nations start in the emperors (Austria's) sphere. In 1840ish and around 1860-70 (depending on who's emperor) the emperor will die and the electors will vote for Austria or if Bavaria is a GP they will vote for either depending on relations and whoever gets 4 votes wins and gets all the spherelings. If neither Bavaria or Austria is a GP the crown goes to Prussia. If all 3 aren't GPs the empire is dismantled. Prussia can choose to dismantle instead of getting the crown too.
The Dutch Monarchy got kicked out of the Netherlands and now have a government in exile there, they also own only a fraction of indonesia since the various sultanates took advantage of the crisis.
You're right, it should be a 'premium' haircut
The balkanized America mod is fuckig broken
not only does it require HPMeeme, but New Mexico is divided between California and Colorado, with New Mexico controlling only half of itself.
Oh and Texas has a slice of the Canadian northwest territories
Not to mention the three defunct decisions that clutter the game like Chernobyl cluttered Belarus
t. Cobra AKA Legacy of Slovenia lad
An alpha release should be out be Friday, I'm just doing some final tweaking to make sure everything is playable. Primarily I want German Unification to be doable in this release.
>Implying you can scare me off
Been here for years me mate, not leaving anytime soon.
But yeah, I try to keep my memeing and my modding seperate, hence why I don't sign my Legacy of Slovenia posts t. Cobra unless someone is explicitly bringing that stuff up.
>he used a converter to convert his game a long time ago
>this gives him a free pass to raid the thread and spam it
Once a shitpoter, always a shitposter
>converting a game
Nah, Francis lives another 10 years and Ferdinand "rules" until the 70s. Franz takes over when he dies. The 80s is only there for if Bavaria somehow manages to become emperor on the 40s election, Maximilian has a chance of living to his later 70s.
Poland is not strong, but since I felt bad and I
am a poleI let the 1831 uprising actually be somewhat successful. Now there is a tiny polish state called The County of Warsaw similar to Krakow that will get eaten by Prussia or Austria in the 50s.
Besides Warsaw 3rd partition borders are in effect
Epic Magyar, thanks Russia, napoopan and Prussia, now my quest for glorious Yugoslavia has gotten a lot easier.
Also, the ottomemes got uterly destroyed after a war with France for Greece rip Mehmet.
You are probably running a mod that's incompatible with the latest patch (or a mod for the latest patch in the old version)
If it's HPM, there's a version for the beta and a version for 3.03
In the EU4 description for the eunuch advisors to the Ming, Paradox describes colonization as a short term endeavor with only immediate rewards. I can find no example in the game, much less historical precedent, that would corroborate this claim. Has there been any explanation for this?
Cool map mod
Filthy nigers raped poor natalia to death rip Natal, an early Rhodesia.
Not really, I did it once because I wanted an easy westernization and my aim in that game was to ethnically displace east africans only using colonial migration.
The Opium War events don't occur to the China tag
the carolina islands sure do start a lot of great wars
>paradox will never make a good converter
>paradox will never make a good game again
Why is the AI so completely fucking incompetent?
>pommerania attacks brandenburg
>enforce peace so I can join the war to attack pommerania to take danzig without incurring the wrath of austria
>my vassal swarm comes in
>make sure to put their AI on attach
>they don't attach
>fight their 20k stack with my 26k stack
>my vassals just fucking sit there watching this fight instead of joining
>get memed on by dice rolls and lose
>vassals still just sitting there in already occupied territory
>at this point all of pommerania is sieged except their fort and capital, and brandenburg has only lost their capital
>outnumber them 3 to 1
>brandenburg, who is the war leader, accepts their demands for me to release one of my vassals
>Playing as France in vicky 2
>germany declares war on me and brings the UK + all of central europe against me
>barely hold them off but win
>5 years later repeat
>5 years later repeat
This has completely sapped my will to play this game. The AI gets to ally with all of fucking Europe but I can't ally with a single fucking great power. Amazing
This time I'm not going to be able to win. They out number me so fucking bad and even though I was able to hold them off and fuck them up at the start and end up being at like 30 warscore only from battles, they wouldnt accept peace and theres no way I can win.
Its free industry points and lowers the influence of other nations. It only costs money, which you should have more than enough of to buy every railroad in the world if you are a decent GP.
just rename every shit hole muslim country to ISIS because that's what they all are, fuck the middle east and anyone who cares about it or lives there. Fuck your shitty mod for even indulging muslim "culture".
taking silesia from bohemia is the best thing to do at the start as bohemia can be a massive pain with becoming emperor/blobbing/hating you and declaring when you really don't want them to
as brandenburg you have prussia ideas wether you become prussia or not so taking konigsberg is best done from poland once you've got your OP ideas filled/a h.r.e power base
yes. democrats were originally small-government and pro-slavery, republicans were big-government abolitionists. the flip flop in policy was a gradual change from after the civil war all the way to ww2.
democrats eventually tried to win over the western poor states being admitted into the union and so became pro-welfare, while the republicans opted to win over business, thus favoring limited intervention.
there was no real reason. it was gradual.
lad, they're definitely left on the social platform, but they could hardly be called economically socialist
A better term would be some sort of combination of the terms "socially progressive" and "economically liberal"
Probably either "progressive liberal/liberal progressive" or "social liberal"
old gods start as any viking, reform the pagan religion, form empire of scandinavia and become a merchant republic.
It's a bit 'memey' but is very different playthrough that as a 1066 feudal catholic
it was a monarchy that favored policies fascists tend to favor, but i wouldn't call it fascist
fascists tend to have an actual written creed down, it's more an intellectual revolution/radicalism, japan just had an emperor that saw the necessity for far right-wing ideologies.
socialists, like communists, also believe in seizing the means of production, just usually less violently/dont necessarily subscribe to marxism
the democratic party wants to increase the welfare state but retain private ownership of production, and thus are not socialist
Probably the best thing.
desu it's kind of like England is/was. With a government that does most of the stuff by themselves, with a monarch in charge but that doesn't really do anything, and when the monarch says you should do this people generally do it.
Also, what should be a fascist Spain name?
Nationalist Spain is just the civil war, but Francoist Spain wouldn;t work if Spain wen't fascist immediatly, as Franco would have been a teen
what're your guys tax codes? (vicky)
i'm currently running 0% for rich, 20% for middle and poor
though the capitalists have already built a all the railroads and made a fuck ton of factories so im thinking of flat taxing 20%
Banned from parajew forums, what DLC is compatible with geheimesnacht and what version of ck2? I have all of them pirated and I have version 2.4.5 of ck2, but I keep crashing on startup.
that's not very christian of you anon
it sounds contradictory, "state anarchism", but essentially yes. dictatorship anarchos just mean that the ruler favors their policies and hands away some of his power voluntarily while still maintaining rulership, vs. republics in which the anarcho state remains only as long as the people favor it.
so like any other ideology basically
"the ruler" in this case being theoretical, the actual mechanics are the same for as any other ideology. ie fascists seizing power in a republic does not automatically destroy the republic anarchos seizing power does not automatically destroy the dictatorship, although they might eventually push for it
>faction revolts and we win
>suddenly I get my liege's top title
How likely is it that Germany will form via the Crown from the Gutter event in HPM? I want to annex the Rhineland as France and I want to limit the infamy cost, which is easier when one country owns the Palatinate.
Sign an accord of peace over their smoldering corpse.
It's impossible to make late game balanced when there are so many variables and possibilities that can influence the outcomes of history. Each game is completely unique and different from everything else the developers are able to create when testing the game and it's impossible to balance each unique scenario independently.
Late game EU4 is chaotic as fuck right now.
>indian nations have westernized and are super strong
>colonial nations have all broken free and are starting wars in asia to gain colonies there
>tunis or spain has colonized all of north africa
>france/austria/poland/aragon is blobbing uncontrollably all over and beyond europe
Antartica is supposed to be an archipelago if there's no ice.
Here's my shitty ebingroBFrancienblob. I had to changeowner some minor shit to make this work, and clean up the very worst borders around the world. Africa is a result of 3 genocides, the 4th of which would've happened in late 1936. If you're wondering about the US, they had some rebel troubles toward the end, but ended up fascist. All in all, there was a drastic lack of Great Wars in this game, with the only one that I know of happening because of a fluke where i had changeownered the other 3 provinces of Liberia to myself while competing with the UK, because realistically they wouldn't have gotten that land if the only thing they owned bordering it was Sierra Leone. After a few months it ended up triggering a great war for no reason, which happened to not be the kind that stops on day one.

HPM would you ever consider giving the cossack hetmamate some flavour?
In CK2 I'd like to try to go for a Byzantine playthrough, either in 1066, or 1081. What's the best way to go about rebuilding Rome and preventing 1000 years of Arab tyranny? Who should my first targets be? Anything I need to do ASAP?
Has anyone here played a game as a merchant family in a republic in CK2? I've never seen anyone here post it and I'm currently writing some background stuff on the patricians for
my D&D gameand I was wondering if anyone has pulled some shit with the influence you can gain in land that ain't even yours.

HRE religious war
>ALL electors are protestants/reformed
>they would elect the catholic french than amongst eachother
>frogs immediately leave protestant alliance, joins catholic
>milan starts a war with switzerland with conquest CB
>austria joins milan, french join switzerland
>they are both in the catholic league
>bohemia starts the big league war
>france bleeds out completely
i dont think this is tested
why would a catholic country join a league that will ban him from becoming emperor
why are protestant electors backing up catholics
why is there a hidden hostile relation variable between different league members
Why oh why couldn't paradox release east vs west as the "public beta" they told us about a month before cancelation? If they had, the game would have been in perfect shape right now after two years worth of patches and micro-dlc's and possibly major dlc's. The game could have made back the money they lost and given us an modern day political grand strategy game. Then we wouldn't be stuck with mediocre games that have events like the China declaring war somewhere else outside of the Asian continent, who programs this shit, the AI of most game are so damm broken.
Even the guys working on the mod/cleaned up EvW have admitted the game is fundamentally broken and to have a proper game you'd pretty much have to start from scratch, that's why pdx gave up on it.
in real life the lague wasn't a straight up catholic vs. protestant affair. There were a lot more rivalries and complexity to it, like the ottomans and french involvement on the protestant side.
but it makes no sense in the game
>get elected emperor because of good protestant points
>you switch sides the moment you are elected
>get into a war against another catholic country
>get absolutely demolished by those who elected you emperor
There is no freedom from this horror.
i am on neither side
hungary, catholic country without joining either side
all that is important to me is austria to let me be, so i watch very closely whats happening
preparing for another push in the balkans/anatolia
the electors are favouring france (till it switched sides)
winning a vote with -50 is exceptional
electors just fucked eachother up for really long
>brandenburg hates bohemia
>bohemia hates saxony
>mainz hates palatinate
Its actually really simple once you play it.
Its like Vic 2 in that from the outside it looks complicated as fuck. But after a couple games to learn shit it makes total sense and is easy as fuck to understand.
I enjoy comfy productive countries a lot, but I don't understand skipping out on GP status. since you can make your people even more comfy by controlling the markets they have first access.
>austria blobs the entire southern German and north Italian states, integrates Hungary and blobs the balkans
>they share an entire border with France
>for some reason blueblob and whiteblob are still allied
>their combined force could probably conquer the remainder of europe
>not even my commonwealth, swede, bohemian alliance could stand against them if they declared.
France gets chummy with Austria way too much. Its not even a problem of being friends early game, but that they stay friends throughout the entire game. The only time I've seen them fight since cossacks came out is when allies happen to call them against each other.
Why is it so much easier to get Brits everywhere in alt-hist where they lose than in the historical start? Poopmod does it too, with Canada.
No, HPM uses a different map, and all the converters I know of can only handle converting the default map over as far as I know. Mods which use the vanilla map can be used without problem.
And Poopmod lets you kill the other immigrant magnets and absorb a ridiculous amount of yuros.
It just seems funny that the worse the defeat, the more they stand to gain, like some kind of unstoppable monster.
frenchies always stick their nose into italy and thats austrian sphere of influence as far as i see in my games so they never ally, rivals at worst, waging proxy wars and fighting eachother at best
That first screenshot is the 7 years war beta. It's not HPM, so you get assimilation even with a London capital, and if you don't force the slavery issue before 1875 there are no CSA cores and the Dixies return to the fold.
Unfortunately, Seppos are determined to stay American.
Really though, the issue is that the Indian states aren't actually all that useful, so swapping the subcontinent for a million Dixies, angry Yanks and some land opportunities is a fair deal.
Reviving dead thread with paintable maps!
It looked nice. But admittedly nobody cared about the setting. All that work for a game and, nothing.
>playing soviets in darkest hour

>son is King of Italy
>will inherit all of my titles via Elective
That doesn't imply its economy and academia was geared towards making war
Austria avoided all offensive conflict for fear of internal rebellion and tactics against mobs in that time were different than those on battlefield proper
I do not think military industrial complex makes sense in light of Austrian state in that time
Big campaign continues with a big WTF moment.
Also, it looks like I'm going to have to wait, as the lords of my realm won't support my kingly son for the throne (in favor of my 24dip strong second-eldest, which I'm cool with).
I know I'm going to sound like a total newfag here, but how the hell do you form the Netherlands as Burgundy in EU IV?
Other than the Low Lands territories you already have a PU with, you need to conquer two OPMs (and Liège). I always start out in a shitty position though: either France allies Austria or France rivals me, which means I will have to deal with both France and Austria at the same time. Considering they're both the biggest therats to Burugndy and Austria (being the emperor) is guaranteed to join any war I declare on imperials, I would like to at least have France on my good side. But even when we aren't rivals, they ally Austria.
ive done it
ive found the worst map
there is literally nothing RIGHT with this game
He's ethnically Pictish so that might explain it? My heir is far less goofy-looking at least, just needs a haircut.
I'm trying to form HRE and then switching to someone else, or breaking free as independent KleinAquitainiums (like how I 'released' Aragon). My only goal is to spread Nibelung seed far and wide.
>In spite of their size and distinction in individual engagements, Habsburg armies of the nineteenth century had mostly known defeat in encounters with European major powers. They were often handicapped by uninspired or timid battlefield leaders. The principal cause of their failure was the that Austria allocated the lowest proportion of its revenue to its military. Various political groups continuously blocked adequate expenditures on the army. For example, the Prussian infantry, using breech-loading rifles in 1866, had four to five times the effective firepower of the Austrian infantry. The constant economizing was also reflected in the poor training of conscripts and in the quality of the notoriously underpaid company-grade officers. Tactics, based on frontal assault with fixed bayonets, were outdated. The quartermaster corps had a reputation for inefficiency and corruption.
Also from Wikipedia
I'm sure proper sources on this can be found, but if Cucks did underinvest in their army like that I don't see a reason for a military-industrial complex tech school
Yeah, and pretty much only reddit uses imgur. To be honest I have no idea why they didn't find a new image hosting website yet, imgur has those annoying as fuck problems with connection due to shitty servers.
Fuck off redditfag. We know you didn't just stumble upon this on google lol, you found it in this thread
But that imgur album was created only to show those pictures on reddit. And why hte fuck would you google that when you can clearly see that picture was taken from imgur just by looking at the filename?
I think I need a custom tooltip for this Earthquake. This isn't even all the things that happen.
>O the morning
i wanted to do a thing with china but HPM cucks the shit out of china and, despite that making sense, i just wanted a little variety
i was looking at the archive and saw the normandy mod, i wanted to see its map so i googled it, and saw the leddit imgur album
it looked bad enough for me to post so i did
will it help your autism if i post the newest willy waggle pasta anon
I started by adding new postcolonial nations just because. Then I decided natural events for flavor. I just thought of what had big effects in history. Earthquakes, volcanoes, famines. I just took the one which there were most of, and started with that. I'm about halfway done with all the earthquakes now. After that it's on to something else.
My new gambit is to enact Primogeniture in both kingdoms, securing the succession for my eldest, the King of Italy (who just conquered Tunis away from the Abbasids). It's going to tank relations with my vassals, but hopefully not so much that they'll all try and rebel at once. If anything, I hope I die before then just so my higher-martial heir can put the fear of God into them.
I grew a beard. And MCG switched all the time, are you saying I shouldn't?
What's the fucking point of this mod lad? not conquering areas that are seismically active?
Also do those territories NEED to be owned by Ming? So you just need to be a nation that never had an earthquake?
The beard really does help
>are you saying I shouldn't?
Well, that was kind of like MCG's shit, we never had a 1 nation grand/mega campaign.
But you are likely too gross for it now
Okay, maybe I was little too harsh on you, lad. But still, Normandy Mod is just an alt history mod, all it's mechanics are the same as in vanilla, you can't really compare it to HPM or even NNM. Oh and speaking of NNM you should try that if you want to play China.
Sounds fun, would use it if I played EU4.
This is the piece of shit we used to call one of us LOL
look at this faggot, whoring himself to reddit.
They're province bound, so if you were to conquer China as Korea in time for the earthquake, you'd still get it. And sometimes, reconstruction can come from an earthquake, or temporarily beneficial effects (1663 Charlevoix Earthquake, increased tolerance of true faith).
They're also not guaranteed to hit. They have a chance to happen in a roughly 2 year timeframe with a MTTH of 20 months. (So slightly more likely to happen than not, but still).
And it's also to balance out some "dynamic" development I have planned out, where random provinces will just "develop" a bit every now and then.
i know it's an alt history mod, i just wanted a screenshot of it because there isn't on the archive
but anon, check out the le funny collage of our epic funny /gees gee/ memes desu!!! xDDD
Back on track.
Money is plenty, and our army is big.
Were the ottomans made to be Overpowered?
holy shit meneth's really gone down the deep end since he abandoned us for reddit
I'm hoping that the ottards will lose a few provinces
he used to be one of us now hes a pinko piece of shit
Finally got High CA passed in Middle Francia, but can't get Primo yet because EVERYONE has to like me first. Might just let the kingdom go to my next-eldest and take it from him later. Alternately, I could just give it to the Nibelung Duke of Burgundy. That way it's still in the family (but won't be part of the HRE when I form it).
What if I got less gross? My thought again was 1) form HRE as Nibelung Duke of Toulouse (original goal); 2) play as different Nibelung somewhere else; 3) repeat until Nibelungs are everywhere.
Ottomans lost controll of the situation.
Hungary went to war.
Possibly to retake Banat.
My encouragement for revolts have worked
I have almost managed to get religious unity.
Gonna leave this up for a little while. If people want me to destroy it, I will (and just grant those de jure dukes independence). I can still form HRE with only one kingdom, so I don't really need to hold onto it.
This. He realized the way to get the most internet points is to be a loud and proud sjw.
>repeat until Nibelungs are everywhere.
I'm sure that will make a disgusting alliance chain in EU4
>form HRE as Nibelung Duke of Toulouse (original goal)
Does the world need a >Holy >Roman Empire?
He might have a point, if niggers and camelfuckers and spics weren't even worse in the countries where they're the majority. These people seem incapable of even considering the possibility that the disparities between whites and problematic nonwhites is due to deficiencies in the nonwhites.
Got lucky and could annex corfu.
I'm still at war with ferrara and their allies, but they don't have the manpower cause serious damages.
Guys, after seeing that autistic Hungary guy, I want to do a super prosperous state in CK2.
And to do this, I'm never going to upgrade my title above count and due to this, will own every single province I rule. Any good places to form this heaven? Also, bonus points if the county has a funny name or a good flag
so I work at a major casino as IT. just learned that the surveillance team watches me game through the cameras and reports me to my boss whenever I play a game they don't like or whenever they're in a shit mood.
7 reports so far. I don't think they like cs:go or flash games. they don't seem to mind gs's though because I've been playing for months
Oh yeah, I will have to become a duke since to make money, you HAVE TO be a merchant republic, I realized I can't play as count level republic.
Well, what's a good titular duchy title? I'm doing vanilla because converter issues
Wish I could do CK2+ because the world needs gross-Dan Mariniums
Are you the owner's kid or something? Why the fuck have you not been fired?
Also, I highly recommend being the owner's kid. I'm at work -right now- and playing gs. Gotta be discreet of course but I do it every day when I'm not actively doing something.
Revolutionary France in 1443
I wonder what could be behind this.
I have a three-way tie from the poll, so I'm resolving to wait until I can enact Primogeniture in Middle Francia and then hand it off to the Nibelung Duke of Burgundy, whom I will support and make sure his line stays in power.
Yeah, we'll see about that when we get there.
>questioning Imperial authority
>being this big of a heretic scum
I'm going to rename it the Imperium for shits n gigs.
Not a sensitive cuck, just open to audience feedback (like MCG was, and I was a big fan of his). I will stay Nibelung, but not necessarily always in the same place. For instance, part of me wants to take over Aragon and conquer Iberia, or, alternately, put a Nibelung on the Asturian throne and go from there.
My plan wasn't to get groß as fuck, just to spread Nibelung seed as far and wide as possible.
Fucking french fry captcha.
This is a map of all the current countries that are in AHMod
Let's try to attempt a comfy CK2 game, nothing but building trade ports and fucking bitches.
And warring for trade ports.
I'm going to make a gem of a nation sitting in the Baltic shores
I have allied Austria.
I can't possibly take on the Ottomans, even with them.
I need divine intervention.
Gotta get married, especially with a woman good with the stewardship
Got a big ol' border mess in Middle Francia, attempting to sort who owns what. Have not honestly paid any attention to this part of my realm thus far.
Just because some nutjob thought of them a few hundred years ago doesn't mean they are not memes. If I write a book about an Australo-Hungarian Empire would that mean that country would stop being a complete joke?
>If I write a book about an Australo-Hungarian Empire would that mean that country would stop being a complete joke?
you missed my point, but i get you
Angevin Empire maybe
Time to take advantage of our ships and found the Merchant Republic of the Victual Brothers
AHMod adds the following nations that can be released/formed:
>earlier unions and empires to the age of nationalism
these are unions never formaly existed on the world map, only as a idea, as a pan-nationalist movement.
Do I really have to repeat the fact that pan-nationalism is a complete joke? And you do have pre-national states existing: Byzantium (which was taken out in HPM) and Theodoro.
I must unite the greek people under one flag
What should I do with Armenia?
A:Blob into them
Pan-nationalism is a form of nationalism distinguished by being associated with a claimed national territory which does not correspond to existing political boundaries. It often defines the nation as a ‘‘cluster’’ of closely related ethnic or cultural groups. It shares the general nationalist premises that the nation is a fundamental unit of human social life, and that it is the only legitimate basis for the state.
Thats basicly what you said.
Too bad there is no greek unification in EUIII.
But there is a greece tag for some reason.
It has cores on Kaffa,

And so it continues.
>Italy goes to his daughter
>goes to her infant, non-Nibelung son
Stupid heir didn't even have the sense to matrilineally marry his daughter? Fuck.
Good thing is my heir, now guaranteed to inherit both kingdoms (based Primo), has a claim, albeit weak, to Italy so I can push that hopefully and form HRE.
Setting up more dynastic duchies, but going to try and focus on absorbing the French kingdoms to my north first, after I form HRE.
Gained core on Larissa.
In another 10 years, makedonia will be cored too.
I can also finaly get rid of this debt
Taking a break to get some work done.

In Nomine is proof that Paradox used to understand games. DW was almost completely unplayable for several years, vanilla is still absolute garbage. EU4 isn't much better---will say that it is objectively better than EU3 DW 5.2, but not by much.
Based Athens bro, you're doing God's work. Keep it up.
Help I can't deploy ships to the Mediterranean. I took over all these ports and I can't make deployments to them.
here is the latest version, you need the latest version of HPM but not the beta patch for V2
just tick both HPM and unHPM when running the game
deploy the ships to your capital or a port with a land connection to your capital, then you can rebase them to the other ports
I think transport planes can only transport a stack of pure paratroopers.
build some paratroopers, they are pretty useful and using them is the best way to take gibraltar. Gibraltar is a victory condition and you need to occupy it for nationalist spain and portugal to join the axis so it's pretty useful
In vanilla UK normally only puts one low tech garrison brigade in gibraltar anyway so you won't need many
Whoever posts the biggest meme will get the HOI4 beta leaked to their email.
are you actually gonna leak the beta dood
I just took venice, then a coalition raped me.
I managed to make the attackers force france to release a ton of states tho, lol, all I suffered was give 10% income to them.
Would actually be a nice start if I wasn't also at war with genoa.
