What's your defence? Is your sword honed? Also wystone level 2 still isn't great if you don't have two wystones, finish your wyceum quests and get a second one. You might have skipped lab partners or something.

Pretty sure Cera Cymmetry is the diablos weapon, and therefore does benefit from sharpness. And heat cancel and evasion+1 came with the set. Evade+2 is what was crammed.

It does require Recoil Down +2 but once you get it, it's an Evil Wind Darkcannon that autoreloads by rolling.

Any HBG that has good pierce stats.

Good pierce stats would be at least 6 bullets per reload and having the recoil of "Some"

If it doesn't have "Some" recoil, use the Recoil Down skill to achieve the "Some". You ideally do not want any deviation although Deviation L or Deviation R can be compensated for by aiming. Deviation LR is when you'll have a problem. Either tone the Deviation down with the Steady Hand skill or just avoid them completely.

It would be preferred to have Limiter off unless you have an LBG or Bugstaff buddy that can keep the monster on lockdown and in that case, Crouch Firing would offer higher DPS.

I feel like elemental damage on SA is best as a foot note. Like, it should always be the correct choice to use the right element, but the best choice for any element should be the high raw damage option.

Worse. 9 out of 14 weapons have their only good option come from the same monster (Ember Dinovaldo). For the other two blademaster weapons it's Tigrex.
Gunners are the only ones who get some diversity.

Element was shit from the get-go
In MH1, the best Lances were raw because back then the stagger caps was even lower than in 4U and Lances was known for Staggerlocking for its time. Even the Ogre Tusk could staggerlock as well, not just the Black Dragonlance.

In MHF1, the best SnS was surprise, a raw SnS that is the Shining Wyvern Blade because SnS as a class had a jacked-up sharpness modifier back then. It's also Ichinose's first MH.

Nope. Although, Ember Dino weapons aren't the best for CB and GL, which I forgot. But those two weapons are utterly unplayable now anyway so it doesn't really matter.

You use whichever attacks are the strongest. It doesn't matter which attacks they are, you use the strongest. If the strongest attack is the AED, you spam the AED. If the strongest combo is infinitely morphing axe>sword>axe>sword, as retarded as that seems, that's the combo you're going to be using.

The reason to use CB was never "Quick AED's", it was the fact that the CB hit hard. That it hit hard through the AED is completely irrelevant.

Can someone help me out with something? I'm trying to get hold of a Kut-Ku ear in MH4. I don't see a guild or caravan quest I can farm so I've been waiting for Expeditions with them in to pop up for days, breaking it's ears (and picking up any shinies) and killing them. I never get ears as a quest reward, nor as a pickup or at the carve. I only need one and I've killed tons of them and got nothing even though it's supposed to be a 50% chance. What am I doing wrong? MH needs a better gallery mode already. Should contain the Books like in the old games(you know those books, right? The ones that gave helpful info on areas, monster types, weapons, etc). Then a Monster 3D Model Viewer, doesn't even require an animation button because it would be too much to ask for, just do it like MG Peace Walker and it would be cool. A Monster Sound Test would also be cool but it might be too much to ask for too. Music Sound Test shouldn't, though.

You get 10 more in four hours, you have 20 you can bring in that get replenished every week from the ticket UI (the same thing that shows how many tickets you currently possess can be clicked on to access this) and the special goods vendor sells 6 tokens a day which give one ticket and can be stockpiled in your storage/inventory for when you need them.

I don't believe there are harvest tours, or any non-ticket spending gathering means outside of the farm and public farm so just be sure you gather while you do other things. Especially story missions since those hunts are free. Helps that you can speed up the farm nodes you need things from (for example, budworms can be harvested from the bug node, and you can spend the farm currency to instantly gather again)
That said, the farm isn't unlocked until level 10, but just keep that in mind for when you get it (which shouldn't be very long)

The squid ones generally only have 190 raw, even less dragon, and a sliver of natural white in exchange for only neutral affinity so the only real reason to use them is if you want tons of blue sharpness without dedicating any skills to it, you just haven't made anything better after unlocking your HR, or just plain looks

For what it's worth they're still viable, but once better options appear you'll never look back
