As far as translation goes, well, it's not great. Both of the ones coming to steam are done by Nisa back in their memelord days, so expect it to be more in line with RB2. If playing through that didn't trigger you, than you'll probably be fine. Otherwise, well, hope for a fanmade patch.

What's a good way to set up a nep/40k crossover?

bunch of 40kers warp stormed or plot deviced to gameindustri and learningthe power friendship (yuri too if it's a sororitas vessel that gets warped over)? or neps visiting the 40k dimension and taking wh40k sides?

Maybe pko and the god emperor get to switch consciousness for a day so the emperor gets to run around and have fun for once in so long after sitting in that throne for all those years

I don't know the specifics because I don't view the logs that often because stella doesn't die after I started using this strategy about halfway through rb2 stella (worked smoothly end to end for rb3 afterwards too)

Skills you want (via stones or skills);
PRIORITY: avoid traps
secondary: counter, paralyze, various heal things (attack hp steal, afterbattle heal, random heal, etc...)

Stat prioritization;

Weapons/Armor with SLIGHTLY less str/vit can be more effective when they have +luk/+luck lvl.

those are flat level increases and level up stat gain modifiers respectively by my understanding

e.g.

A: 200 str +3 luk +2 luk lvl
B: 225 str + 1 str + vit lvl

A is better.

However, also pay attention to "primary stat" relative gains

so in the scenario

A: 200 vit + 10 luk
B: 300 vit + 2 str

B is better

I don't have any solid numbers for this; i.e. only switch when new primary stat-old primary/old primary > X% etc... but basically sometimes you skip a floor's items all together if none of them have good luck boosts, but generally speaking you either never or almost never (I don't remember exactly) skip 2 floors of gear.

The story overall was cleaned up in Rebirth 2. With the removal of NISA and Gust they had to write around them being replaced and just slipped in a line or two of character development. The English VAs also seem to have a new direction over the PS3 versions like they're more into the characters.
