it's a great weapon but it's walled by people that dodge to the side because its tricked moveset heavily punishes people that dodge backwards using R1, rolling/dash R1, and running R1s

the alternative is to rely on the wide arc swipes of the untricked moveset but it's clunky enough to make you try sticking to R2s or transform attacks; the former is slow and only shines when people are dashing into you while also hanging a big "parry me" sign above your head, and the latter will make you even more predictable than wheel dash spammers

don't farm for chunks from regular mobs, you get loads in the DLC fishing hamlet, as well as once you rach nightmare of mensis in the main game. Chalice bosses at I think depth 4+ give chunks too.

get way more chunks from just summoning and helping people do chlice. Or even run an NG. one NG should be enough to get probably 3 weapons to 10+ without too much trouble.

If you run through the first Pthumerian chalice, you can grind insight super easily. Everything you need can be bought out of the regular echoes bath

Is there still anything good about the Blade of Mercy (apart from it's dash attack)? It feels like it's the equivalent of Ludwig's Holy Blade now, a new better version comes out and everyone jumps to that.

I did miss the first enemy there, but it's not like that happens all the time. I saved the video there because I liked how I dodged in the end there.

The reason I went for high stamina isn't because I want to avoid stamina management, which I still need to do on bosses. But on trash enemies my big stamina bar allows me to continuously attack and stagger, killing most enemies in just one combo. It's very effective.

On bosses like Laruence and Logarius it was kind of wasted because of the small windows of attacks you get, so I don't really use up the bar. On bosses like Maria and Orphan of Kos, however, the giant bar is fantastic.

You do not need that much stamina, base END and tier 3 Anti-clockwise is fine, if you need more equip a second rune.

The only reason you would drop points in END is if you didn't need the points for weapon requirements. He already has 50 VIT and 50 ARC, going past that is a waste unless he wants 99 ARC for tool damage, but he'll need to go to a higher level for that.

For the love of god, please i need tips against Gehrman. I only manage to parry him when the scythe is not transformed and even then it's more of a luckshot. Today I got him down to like 1/4 of his health but his attacks hit WAY too hard. I got like 33 VIT but one stroke of his scythe and I'm half dead. I know he's supposed to be hard as the last boss but that shit's just impossible.

Yeah, my experience with Rom has been mixed. The spiders deal way too much damage and take a bit of positioning to kill. And you gotta watch Rom like a hawk because the long range crystal attack will rip you apart if you're not careful.

This was the 3rd invasion I have ever done in this game, is this a regular thing? I have no idea what the hell the host was doing the whole time. he killed me shortly after this

Hamlet is kinda of an unfair place to invade anyway, after this I got 2 host kills just by waiting at the ghost spell guys and shooting people as they ran up, they got staggered and hit by the ghosts and I finished them off. Also I find a lot of people tend to stand still when I first see them. Idk if they don't see me or are waiting for a bow but fuck that I charge attack them everytime.

Hyper armor means you can eat certain attacks without flinching. Sickle HMMPH is one of the few bosses that has hyper armor on EVERY FRICKIN atttack in his combo which makes trading with him all but impossible. The only thing I know that consistently mauls him is Whirlig, Burial Blade L2s and HMS. Wheel is too slow to exploit the stagger

I U\used spare chunks and rock to get a hunter pistol to +10 and grabbed a very easily obtainable blt gem for it from chalice and holy fuck, it is an awesome addition for pvp. I have 7 bloodtinge yet with bone ash it still hits for ~300 damage
