- She was introduced in CPE which allowed people who haven't read the manga to learn her backstory.
- She has a very popular VA so it makes sense to use her again. And Mai has a system voice and pretty much every character with a system voice is or will be playable.
- Mori had said that Mai's story would continue when Remix Heart ended and he has also produced a design for her after she graduated.
