Games industry really values individuals wiling to put in work. There's also A LOT of movement between studios and it's kinda "everyone knows everyone" industry. If you work in your studio for a few years and your friend at studio A goes "hey we're making that game you're looking for and have a free position" then you obviously move to that studio. I have a masters degree in cs and a bachelors in 3d animation. I have samples of work from student projects and games that are more than enough to get me at least an entry level job in most studios. I have countless clean code samples of games I have worked on, but I have been denied in favor of girls still in college 3 times, and I went to school with all 3 of them so I know I was muh better. I was looking for jobs as a graduate while they were still sophomores or juniors. Unless you are a world class talent you need either connectiojs or a pussy to get a job in anything but shitty QA

The suites at EA are all business majors, not artists. They have no time for, appreciation of, or understanding regarding the nitty gritty of artistic expression and talent. The went to school, got taught how to motivate factory workers into making cars more efficiently, managing a supply change, crunching numbers, accounting, being able to fire people without getting a lawsuit and building wealth.

You are missing the point. Theres no question here that she did a poor shitty job. Her school projects reflect her lack of effort and the amount of work put into her cosplay shows her true passion.
