How far have you gotten so far?
Also, post Arisen's/Pawns
I'm very much enjoying it
got my arse kicked by those things under the pawns guild
now I've got to take on 3 fucking giants in a mine
I want to like this game. I really do. It just feels really boring to me for some reason. I'm level 26, and it feels like there's basically no progress.
I'm doing nothing but fighting bandits and wolves. Bandits and wolves. Day time, bandits half of the time, wolves a third of the time, and then goblins sometimes. Night time, wolves, wolves, wolves, wolves, more wolves, infinitely spawning wolves, and then some bandits. Every once in a while I hit a wandering undead, ogre or chimera which breaks up the monotony. Sometimes a dungeon where it's something a little bit more fun.
Then there's the character progression - it feels like there almost isn't any. Level up, and don't really feel any stronger, even after going back to learn new skills. Comparing gear is a bit of a pain in the ass considering not all stats are shown when looking at something new, and then you also have to upgrade it to actually really compare anything.
I'm going to keep playing to see if it gets any better since I'm only 15 or so hours in. This is still a very tedious early game though, if that's what it hopefully is. The pawn system is interesting at least, I do like that quite a bit.
>in dragons dogma
Wow, you must be the most retarded person on the internet right about now
Just did the Female Bandit quest. It's been a damn long journey for that shitty amount of gold and XP.
>need female pawns so they won't attack me
>hire some random slutty dressed fighter just standing about
>later, fighting snow harpies
>one of the fuckers manage to lift me up
>it flies me so high I can feel the wind is pushing me
>drops me, falling for so long I thought I had entered the everfall
>suddenly, fucking Pamela, the slut fighter catches me, saving me from sure death
>a second later she picks up a barrel and throws it enflaming 4 fucking harpies at the same time
That bitch just became my MVP now.
Also. To do this one quest I have killed a total of 4 ogres and 3 chimeras. Shit's insane. All wearing Ladies Garb as well.
All you're doing is confirming to me that there's basically no progression to be had outfit wise unless it's a blatantly obvious upgrade. Like that stupid DLC princess gown that over half of the pawns are wearing.
That's not a good thing. Calling someone a retard because they expected better of the game doesn't really paint the game in a good light.
Doing all the sidequests I can before starting royal jobs. Also working on getting gear up to par.
>go to do the metal golem fight for its staff reward
>get a staff upgrade on the way there and another just before the fight
>his was still better
Not that the staves helped with him
What I mean by this is that you're supposed to go with the gear that looks the coolest of course, there's no need for comparing of stats when it's beauty you should strive for
I called you a retard because you're min maxing when the stats on your armor are nigh meaningless, you should always go for what looks best
Story wise, I'm still at Gran Soren after arriving, I'm enjoying some exploration and side quests.
I switched my character from strider to the dual-hands class but I think I'll switch back to Assassin, I enjoy speed more.
>bloo bloo i cant min max, so all the outfits are viable
I don't think you know what this term means Anon. Trying to see if you can upgrade your gear once every few levels is not min maxing, and if you think it is you have some mental issues of your own.
>its an escort mission from the village to Gran Soren
Less of a viking and more of a hobo
pls no bully
Yeah, there's some DLC gear you can get early at Cassardis and some stuff you can get at Gran Soren. The shit you get in Cassardis is better than the outfits you get in GS imo. More customization, outfits take up all armor slots. Would use the outfits if they didn't look so goofy to me.
I use the DLC dark blue robe on my witch, I think it really fits her. But yeah, I'm prioritising aesthetics above all else, and refuse to put any head gear on her because of it.
stop being a fag.
the reason is you are using broken DLC shit from the original game. it's better than all of the lower level shit.
do the main quest and the idol quest, new weapons.
traipsing through all the early gran soren quests
ranger atm and was planning to go to MA but enjoying this way too much
>tfw no amazonian pawn to sexually abuse you
I love some of the shit the Pawns say
Seconding this. Not so much the fact that it's a tedious grind -- I've fought very little in terms of wolves and bandits -- but rather the fact that the game hasn't been all that interesting.
Everyone hyped it up with this whole, "compare melee/magic/ vs dark souls and skyrim!" shit but the combat is equally as bland. Just because it's a little flashier or allows for you to climb on an enemy doesn't make it intuitive or fun.
I did have an interesting encounter on my way to the Bandit Lair, when a chimera popped out from the treeline and bum rushed my group. Would have been an interesting battle had they not shoehorned this same fight in in the totally unnecessary tutorial level (seriously, WHY do games do this? Would have been perfectly fine starting at the beach.)
I just don't know, man. I was late to the party with Dark Souls and I fucking love that shit, so this game just seems so... I don't know... generic and a step back from what I want from video games?
Kinda went on a tangent there, but that's how I feel. It's not a bad game but it does feel like... I don't know, boring.
This game is odd. The bandits directly before the Witchwood entrance have guys among them who can kill me in 2-3 hits, but everything in Witchwood itself is piss easy. I spent less time exploring the woods than I did reloading because of bandits instakilling all three pawns and bumrushing me.
Just got to gran soren, I've missed a few quests because of this :(
A bit disappointing of my beard, but aside from that I like me.
My pawn is on my right.
As someone who has yet to touch the Magick Knight class but know's a great cannon is basically a 'hit to fire magic missile' skill, what exactly is going on here, how is it self firing?
It's should be in your storage if you hit Gran Soren. If you accidentally sold it, tough bananas to you. Start over again in hard mode, and then downgrade to normal mode so you can keep the same character design.
the tutorial level is the demo
they are trying to sell games and show mechanics
besides, the chimera is low tier monster. even the cockatrice is better. there is more to find that you havent gotten to, including BBI and endgame
Are you talking about the shit you get from The Black Cat or the Olra's coat + ugly shit dlc?
Cus the BBI shit isn't really that good imo. But it does look pretty good. Not that it matters because I rock the Bandages 4eva,
>train a badass fighter
>knows his blocks, has the best inclinations for protecting pussy ass archers and mages
>showing him all the side quests and combat tricks
>no hires at all
I was so glad someone told me it was a glitch. I would have been crushed.
I guess that makes sense.
And I suppose, even though it was the same fight I'd done in the tutorial, it was better done than any dragon fight in Skyrim.
I guess I should just stop being so jaded and just keep playing. Maybe have faith it'll get better. No use sticking around in these threads, since they're all "LOOK AT MY PAWN PLS RATE" or "ughh the level 30 bandits why" or "is pawn system broken? WHY WONT ANYONE RENT MY WAIFU."
How the PS3 vets have not lost their shit over this I have no idea. I applaud your patience, good sirs.
>running around wondering whose fucking idea it was to make your stamina deplete so fast when running outside of combat
>notice some ancient ruins
>mite b cool, go inside
>encounter the ogre cunt that gets excited by women
>kicked my ass last time but he's alone so fuck this
>die three times
>in a sudden surge of ingenuity I decide to let my two mages act as tanks while I charge this "Arc of Might" shit
>slam it down with the force of a thousand suns
>90% of ogre's health is gone
>das is mane
>encounter two more ogres and some retarded bandits
>all get decimated and fucked by my instant kill charge up attack
>really shouldn't be able to clear this dungeon
>looks like I'm doing it
>kill some zombies and get inane loot that I won't use because it covers my arisen's tits
>find the exit
>some bumble fuck merchant congratulates me on clearing the passage between Gran Soren and the south
Is hard mode supposed to be complete bullshit?
I'm getting my arse kicking by evrything and everyone, fucking rats and bats one shot me. I've bought the best stuff available by merchant and upgraded it and it changes nothing.
I don't know if that makes me feel better or not.
The combat in this game is shit, broken and boring as fuck.
Why even have a dodge button if it can't be utilized properly?
Why is there no lock-on?
Not enjoying the hard mode but I get the feeling that if I switch to normal the whole think will get even more boring and tedious.
The level cap is 200 and you guys have been playing for a few hours.
I sold off the stupid looking DLC hat items and got a shit ton of money, but now I feel like a cheater. I-I swear I don't try to abuse this hard usually!
i love stories from people who have no idea what the fuck they are doing, they are so much better.
i was watching my friend play blind earlier and the first ogre he came into contact with ran straight off a cliff and died
Does DD:DA have any console commands or a save editor? Already beat the game 3 times on the 360; I just want unlimited gold so I don't have to grind all the high tier armors and weapons all over again for the 4th time
>Start playing again after a break from the PS3 version years ago
>Find myself crippled with vocation temptations
I want to do it all, Sorc is so much more enjoyable with a good framerate though, going to be hard to stop.
Managed to survive Mercedes and Barnaby escort just yesterday, got a haircut. Should start with the wyrm-hynts soon.
Also rate. Main pawn on the left.
Hard to judge properly when the face is covered. Also, get some proper gear. Pawn looks very skinny.
Very good. Looks like a human face. The lipstick shines a bit too much.
Pawn looks fine. The Arisen reminds me of the edge-elf in Dragon Age 2.
I also felt like this after playing the base game long ago. I'm not sure if it got any better or I would try it again. I did put more time into it however but after 10 hours it still felt pretty shit.
Assassin and magic archer are DMC cuhrazy
>pawn has yet to of been hired
A-at least she's still p-pure
Why are all pawn generic female waifu or lolishit?
I'd like to hire some dwarf looking fighter/warrior but no luck.
I have to wonder how many people are bringing on my elderly healer pawn considering how many lolis I see.
My little ol' granny helps keep the team active, and carries all the foodstuffs to distribute as needed.
What us the combat even about then?
Dying in one hit from a near unavoidable attack with no wind-up or warning is not a challenge.
Is it not meant to be challenging at all?
Positing? Timing? seriously wtf
Is it worth doing a forgery of the Gold Idol for that discount?
Just seems like by the point you have recouped your losses. You are in that stage where money doesn't really matter. While right now it really does.
I'd pick her up if I saw her. I avoid lolis whenever possible.
Your pawn has probably been hired, felt up and tossed around by a bunch of autists who later fapped to her silky smooth 60fps textures.
She's violated, bro, but Capcom has wiped away any trace of it. Her assailants will never be known, nor will their opinions of her.
>Grinding for money in Dragon's Dogma
Protip - Hard mode drops Giant Money bags like they fucking candy. I had 300k before I even got to the fucking encampment lol.
normal mode is for casuals
Suppose I'll just have to feel the burn for a while then.
>tfw accidentally buying leather hosen for like 300k on console once
Gotta make sure you don't accidentally push that button in the wrong direction.
At the moment the pawn renting is bugged, you can't see if your pawn's been hired by anyone and any gift that you might give to pawns will disappear completely. Unless you've made it far into the game you can see how knowledgeable your pawn is against 'unfamiliar foes' somewhere in its stats tab. Unless you've killed a variety of monsters with your pawn by your side it'll have obtained knowledge of rarer monsters from other players.
>but everything in Witchwood itself is piss easy.
I didn't like the Witchwood because the flying ghost assholes kept fucking possessing me, I couldn't deal any damage to them because lel greatsword only, and my pawns dealt fuck all in terms of damage whilst refusing to give me elemental buffs.
So I ran around and found a route that basically allowed me to skip the entire area by sticking to the mountains and falling down directly in front of the witch's house. There were some chests with useless shit up there, too.
Wtf is this enemy?
It's complete bullshit. Been fighting it for 10 minutes and it's just at 50% hp despite all of us attacking it's discs.
I almost always make BB and The boss. Not very creative but its fun to roam around as them.
This. I can't go back to normal after seeing all these gold bags.
> Anodyne/High Anodyne set on yourself or your pawn
>tfw I love hiring mage pawns with that move set on them
It kinda fucked me over for a time though because I thought that if the healing spells can't recover "Wound" or "Fatigue" damage,Items can't... But they do
Golems are resistant to magic, and seeing as pawns are barely ever able to hit the glowing weakspots that are the only way of damaging it, you're going to have a hard time with them.
Fuck, I got there yesterday
>Heading to the bluemoon tower to fight the griffon
>Party is completely exhausted of supplies and depleted of health
>This motherfucker shows up
>Start fighting it
>Only melee fighter in party
>Get it to 50% after what feels like forever
>One of my pawns enter the nearby tower
>Pulls an entire camp of bandits
>Bandits ignore me entirely for some reason but fuck over my pawns
>Have to fight the bandits by myself because they've surrounded and gangbanged my three pawns
>Discover the ballistas
>Start shooting at the golem, works well
>Golem destroys the ballistas with the laser
>Have to pummel the remaining chest and hand discs with my sword
That shit took an entire night cycle, would not recommend
Also here's a gem of a Pawn I found just a bit ago.
My little arisen and her little elf pawn.
Surprisingly this is the first run where I've raised Quina's, Selene's, Jewtit's and the Duke's bitch's affinity to max.
Did I do a good job with my witch, /v/?
Your pawns are only able to hit an enemy well if they have the appropriate knowledge of it. If they're not 3-starred on it, which they probably won't be, they're not smart enough to go for the weak points.
I've read getting the mage heavy strike augment helps out. I think it's vocation level 7 or something?
How'd I do? I'm still looking for a good flowing shirt and glam cape for him. Shame there wasn't a better hair option.
How do I minmax a magic archer? This is important.
Yes I'm a minmaxer faggot.
>still haven't done any capitol quest thanks to black board quests
Someone told me to find his snake purse. Where is it? I keep killing lizards near the river but I don't get it.
Just finished up the female bandit quest, stupid cyclops didn't want to eat the goblin. i had to carry like 3 fucking goblins to it before it counted.
>tfw berserk content still hasnt been modded back in
Eh, my pawn is honestly there for buffs, High Grapnel/High Blearing/High Silentium and High Brontide shenanigans
If you hire not shit mages who debuff shit you won't need heals. It honestly isn't a very good spell, if it cured to 100% regardless of wound damage then it mite b kool though,
Do you realise who David Bowie is?
So explain this to me.
Instead of creating only your own character and playing the game you create your entire party in this game?
The AI is good?
This game is as tedious and boring as I remembered it.
Combat is fun with certain classes but the whole world is just full of nothing and boring.
Play sorc for the whole game, Then swap to MA when you've farmed the last boss several times over. NOTE: Doing it this way will not actually allow you to PLAY the game as a Magick Archer, since there will be nothing left to do. It WILL give you the highest MA damage output however.
Alternatively, level from 10-100 as sorc and then go MA. Stat gains are lower after level 100 anyway.
My advice? Just play whatever you want, minmaxing is for aughtists.
You create your main character (The Arisen)
Then you get to create a 'pawn' as a follower.
Your pawn will follow you for the entire game, and you can hire up to two other pawns at a time, and switch them whenever you want.
If you go online you can hire other peoples pawns
Sorc gets better the more time you put into it, with the casting augments and the Wyrmking ring you can nuke the fucking world. You go from slow channeling piss ass damage man, to Moderately slow channeling I'm going to nuke the world man.
Normal arbalest shots deplete it much quicker, I took him down in 5 minutes or so just by taking down every front plate and then finally going head to head when he enrages with his final back plate.
You only create your own pawn, the other two you have to rent from other players.
And the answer is maybe, because the AI is dependant on how well the pawn has been taught by it's owner. So at worst they're idiots and at best they're god damn veteran masters who eat dragons and shit smaller dragons.
You create 2/4, and can recruit the other two. You recruit other player made characters, so you may need to shuffle around a bit if you're only going for looks to find someone that's not a loli.
The AI can be good.
You create two characters.
The character you control ("Arisen") and a main Pawn. Every time you rest in an inn, the Pawn's level, abilities, and equipment save. This version of the pawn can be recruited by other players.
Likewise, you can recruit other players' pawns to max out a total of 4 characters (1 arisen [you], and 3 pawns).
The AI is pretty good, and dependent on a lot of factors. Picking up a pawn that has already fought an unfamiliar enemy, for instance, might reveal its weakness (thanks to that random ass strider I picked up for telling me to chop off lizard dudes tails).
>somebody keeping up the elderly pawn game on PC
You ma nigga
No, storage preserves them. Therefore, stick everything you have in there.
>It honestly isn't a very good spell
It is though, you're just being a contrarian dipshit if you disagree. It's all well and good to dodge everything yourself, but your pawns won't be so lucky.
Seems I lost out on him having 3 Star knowledge of Dripstone Cave because I didn't go in the back entrance first. So now I'm tempted to try and restart via Hard Mode just to nab it as he's level 19 or 20 now, and I don't think anybody is going to hire him to grab that bit of knowledge for me.
Especially since I haven't started adding people for free pawn whoring.
Fighter/Warrior to tank enemies and draw attention away from you while you decimate the enemy lines with ranged laser light show attacks.
Also assuming you're new, using MA early on won't be too good in the long run as their stat growth isn't the best. Try building up a good magic damage stat as a sorcerer for a while.
If you get the warrior augment(level one, ain't even gotta play that bitch but do it anyway for the +20% str augment) for +50 defense and wear some decent armor, any heavy will do, you'll be fucking invincible for the main game. Not even cyclopses will hurt you. As for weapons, the best in shop should suffice, but you can find higher level ones if you stray from the main path and find some higher level zone to ransack.
The game picks up a lot in the everfall and BBI. Everfall has a hell of a lot of bosses.
Not everyone wants to play on hard mode on a level 1 character. If you start a new game it overwrites your custom character. If you do hard mode you can import the design, and skip the tutorial.
You already know this though, so I suppose I'm talking to a wall.
Eh, not really. I did a solo run on PS3 and I honestly have more fun duoing with my pawn.
Honestly, once they get trained its hilarious the crazy shit they'll do if they've watched you do it enough.
>Mage/Sorc pawn - I'd douse the enemy with oil/water flasks so she could light them aflame/stun them
>Swap her to Strider when I go sorc, she literally does the same thing for me
then again, I always role with a Util/Chal or Util/Miti main pawn so there is that. I've tried every other inclination combo and aside from my Pioneer/Util Ranger who just disappered and I'd get XP whenever I traveled at night, that is what has worked best for how I play.
>go to that northern towe, bluemoon or something
>bunch of bandits everywhere
>pawn whacks one with the fuckhuge hammer
>he goes flying
>as he flies over the railing he mutters "ugh, I'm out of here" as he falls to his death
On the final main quest, but i'm going to explore the rest before it
To get to 100% I have to use curative items I could have used instantly already, not to mention I can slot an actual useful skill in its place.
If Wound damage wasn't a thing, again it would be a good spell. But it is, so it isn't. But I'm guessing you don't have access to spring water yet, because when you do, you'll understand how bad Anodyne really is in comparison.
Fucking harpies. Stop stealing my loli. It took me 3 hours to make her.
Me and my Hobbit pawn.
I doubt anyone will ever hire him.
i wanted to teach my pawn Fighter shit, then i may go assasin or Knight.
I'm avoiding all of the DLC items except for it. The amount of walking in the game is pretty tedious considering low level encounters will always attack you regardless of levels.
>you can never marry your pawn
>even if you did, it'd be like marrying an emotionless blow up doll
Oh, its in a fishing Spot West of the bridge, North of the upside down question mark on the map. It's been a looooooooong time since I did that quest, my bad.
>people having trouble with golems
HIRE WARRIORS MAN
THEY TURN TO DUST IN 20 SECONDS FLAT
Not that anon
It's chance based, so the spot might not work
Go out from Gran Soren through the northenmost gate, and cross the northen bridge.
At the crossroads, go west
Keep going west until you find saurians, then, go south-west to the river's shore
There's a million saurians and a couple of fishing spots, one of them is the one. Can't tell you which one because while i was gathering one, my pawn was out of sight and he got it.
w-well at least the strategy is slightly different
>Capcapom still hasn't fixed the pawn reward system
I asked in a DD waifu thread and didn't get an answer so I'll ask here.
Is the game supposed to look darker in hard mode or am I just imagining things?
And what is a good class to start with for the first time?
Just got to Gran Soren. My Arisen/Pawn.
Let me guess, you did it solo as MA, you might as well have been playing on easy.
The fact that you went back to pawns really show your lack of skill, no matter what shitty "fun" AI excuse you use.
>all these faggots without loli arisens
>or even loli pawns
I did play this game before, so I know most gear is locked to how far you are in the main quest.
But is there any other way to obtain gear?
I really dislike the horned helmet, but I can't find any good looking gear.
There's too many lolis anyway.
I'm just gonna make a burly warrior pawn AND arisen. We'll duo it up as brothers in arms. I'll just give him some proper inclinations so people will hire him.
literally 0 rents for my sorcerer pawn since yesterday. It's my first time playing this online is this normal?
her inclinations and skills are fine I guess nobody rents sorcerers/mages
also fuck DLC gear, I'm sick of cosplaying pawns
Is it possible to have multiple saves in PC version? I mean, can I just take saves away and start a new game without anything getting messed up?
I want to mage better looking arise and pawn, but since no rift shekels from rents I need a new game.
Loli pawns are the worst, They have annoying VAs and they're stupid as fuck, all of them.
Case in point: this image right here. Look at where that stupid loli is standing, right on the cliff's edge. Take a wild guess what happened.
Meanwhile based Jin Vance, elf of unknown origins, told me every weak point on the cyclops and helped me fuck its shit up while loli stood on the edge of a cliff getting interrupted before finally plunging to her death.
We need less lolis and more Jin Vances.
I`m about level 42 but really behind the quests, I`m enjoying just exploring shit at this time.
Made my arisen and pawn just like they were in the PS3
Not sure if that's every possible to mod in.
Not having multiple saves (and the awkward save system) has everything to do with pawns.
You'd have to do a lot of modding to add in online functionality of multiple saves. Offline mode multiples saves such be possible though.
>mfw they just ran off a cliff and died mid battle for me
Meet Melissa the Sorceress. She's a level 21 offensive pawn with no healing spells (I didn't wanna risk getting medicant) and Scather and Challenger as inclinations. Hope she'll be useful
>tfw missing all these riftbux showing in her bestiary as "unknown foe"
Should I keep using the queen's garments?
Just woke up. Any patch to fix pawn rental yet?
Thanks for the laughs man, have a great day.
I think a lot of quests are tied to certain progressions, but I'm not sure if they actually time out if you don't do any quests.
Like, if you advance in the main quest, some sidequests become unailable. That's for certain.
>play in offline mode
>other peoples' pawns don't matter
My arisen's an archer named Asama and my main pawn's is a warrior named Adele.
Gonna make them Ranger and Knight respectively.
Still at the beggining, just reached Gran Soren and gotten my ass handed to me by the giant in the underground of the pawn's guild.
Where can I get a piece of silk lingerie if I've already looted the Duchess' room?
I tried that female-bandit fort because I saw someone say you could loot one piece there, but I didn't find one there.
You're a fucking idiot. Sorry man that's like gloating that you only play CSGO with bots.
>being proud of not being able to afford a 30 dollar game
>pawn reward system is bugged
>you'll finish the game by the time is fixed
>you will never know if your pawn was hired even once
Played for 16 hours to level 24. Did the lure of the abyss and then went back to the forest area.
won't be able to play for 3 weeks now so I'll miss all the fun threads.
I hope they'll at least fix the pawn system by that time.
Am I the only who gets crashes when starting a new game? "DD DA has stopped working" is the message, I have already run it as admin, placed the crack files correctly in SEYTER version and my NVIDIA is up to date.
Any tips for a poorfag like me?
Lvl 42. Final Battle with Dragon. But I think I fucked up since I can't beat him.
It's a pointless and stupid feature. It has no purpose nor benefit other than to give capcom the ability to say the game has "OnLiiNe FeatureS!!! Pawns are in the game regardless of whether or not you're seeing someone else's abomination.
Fuck off. I preordered it before you even knew it existed.
People are upset you've been given DLC equipment that blows all other starter gear out of the water and will condemn you for using it.
Pay them no mind. It still looks good imo.
went in blind, having a blast.
after skimming through some of the rants here, iv'e concluded that you guys are pretty much retarded.
also, seriously? i chuckled heartily at this guy's name.
Man fighters can look sexy. I'm so proud of my pawn. He does his job so well, unlike so many of the other pawns I recruit that run out by themselves and get killed.
Who else knew you could shoot down ballista bolts with your own arrows? because I spent like 10 minutes shooting them out of the air and seeing how close I could get the explosion to me.
I'm going to start a new game when the rental werks again, gonna stop playing until then.
I'm sure they will fix it soon.
So, I pirated this game to see if my computer would run it, and it did. it ran just fine. Knowing that my pc would run it, I bought it from steam, but now the performance is much worse than it was with the pirated version. Anyone know what could cause this?
shit grafics... its fucking 2016 and crysis from 2007 have alot better grafics...
paladin helm and surcoat are sun-praising tier.
They're actually official John Lennon glasses, I bought them specifically because they were the closest I could find to regular round glasses, and I thought they looked kinda neat. They were regular $300 but I got them on sale for like $20, I only wear them at home for vidya/reading though
I've already done part of the game on PS3 so I literally don't give any fucks about using it.
What about the Voldoan armor? Thatìs not as broekn as the princess' garments, it will probably stop being competitive soon.
I fucking hate how all of the bigger enemies are just health sponges. Yes, I can climb on top of them. Yes, I can attack specific body parts. It's just an additional health bar. It's neither interesting nor fun.
>seriously, WHY do games do this? Would have been perfectly fine starting at the beach.)
I would say why but spoilers. Seriously it is a dumb mechanic but it does have relevance in this game
>Writting and graphics from Witcher 3
>Bossfights and pawns from DD
>strategic view and setting from DA:O
Why cant we have this game?
Sorceror if you are okay with waiting for BIG spells. Like, holy shit big spells, like you cast "I'M NUUUUUUUUCLEARRRRR" level spells. Long casting time though.
Magic archer if you want seeking arrows and some cool combat mechanics like bouncing arrows or tracking multiple targets at once or arrows that light up rooms. Plus you're still worth your salt in melee. you'll be good at everything, but nothing you do is really going to be earth shattering
Made a generic dude and wumyn pawn because I CBA with character creation.
I picked assassin. Kinda finding it boring. IDK what class I want to pick though.
I might go Warrior, Sorcerer or Mystic Knight. Meh.
>use it as a combo extender.
I usually stop combos just before the last hit to do a jump attack, how do I insert exodus into a normal combo?
does do shit against bosses too?
gotta give that a try
I grinded and grinded to give my ranger pawn knowledge 3 on drakes. She's a ranger and I just hand her 20 or so blast arrrows and she just rapes the wings off instantly by never missing. Then she only uses charged shots on the heart and drakes just die instantly. My god was it worth it.
I had forgotten how deliciously free the game can be at times.
>Can't open door.
>Dash-jump through seemingly impossible distances and go through openings to go around it.
>Clear the whole dungeon, get the slates and all the loot.
I don't even remember what I need the slates for but I got those now so its awright.
A few questions.
I did play a little on the xbox, and I remember after meeting the Duke, I spoke to a young fair maiden. I kinda don't want to go through that agian, Is there any reasons, other than the experience of a sidequest to do it again?
Vocation points, whats the best way to get them?
Is this game playable with keyboard/mouse?
I've bought the game 4 times now little boy. Go home to your momma
>pack of bandits near the witch wood or whatever
>literally die in one hit, even though the previous bandits were pussies
Fuck this game, I don't even know what happened. There's either invisible exploding barrels or some other gay ass gimmick at work here.
